Hundreds responded," from 2 months ago, just before the elections, but I'm reading it this morning in the NYT because the illustrations were featured in something new, "The Year in Illustration 2018."
Another one, from a 23-year-old Utahan, "I know my husband would divorce me if he knew I voted for Trump. Some secrets save marriages." It would be funny if the truth was he'd divorce her if he knew she thought of him that way.

But they usually drop it like a hot potato, because facing cognitive dissonance tends to be uncomfortable. So, yes, I tend to be uncomfortable for Dems to be around. Their problem. Not mine.
Of course, if I am meeting new people, and trying to make them like me like them, I will tone it down a lot. At least until they try to argue seriously in favor of a Clinton vote. Those are NPC sheeple.
What does lead to good discussions is when we discuss policy. After Hurricane Sandy hit my area I became very involved with the Long Term Recovery Organization that sprung up after the event to Hoover up government money. Very eye opening regarding "charities". I will no longer give to large charities, especially the Red Cross. However, religious groups were amazing. Various Christian churches came in van loads from hours away for months. They were the people who helped do the dirty work of gutting peoples homes. These were not skilled construction workers, they were home makers and office workers who donated their much needed time and labor. For years after Sandy the Mennonites were here rebuilding homes for people. I am not religious, however, now if I am looking to donate following a disaster I find a local church in the area and send my donation to them. Based on my experience they are the best ones to see the money actually gets to the people who need it.
Local churches do a much better job with authentic charity. Why leftwing cultists are so filled with rage over them. Leftists prefer tax rape and mega money laundering fake-charity to feather the nests of the democratic-bureaucratics.

Those Deplorable Republicans and church goers in flyover country are not "stingy" people. The level of charitable giving in Republican or Middle American communities far exceeds the level of charitable giving in Democrat or "progressive" communities. You can look it up. But you won't--rather shoot off your pee pee tweets.
