A bunch of con media is fussing about PETA today.

Cause they put out some sorta Scott-Adams-type killer propaganda that's irresistible.

Anywho, PETA made me think about "grab the bull by the horns." They suggest "take the flower by the thorns" instead.

Pro bull fighters don't use the grab technique. That's a dumb move. Like grabbing thorns.

New York (CNN Business)The fate of The Weekly Standard, the conservative magazine that has staked out a position as a publication on the right still critical of President Donald Trump, is uncertain, Editor-in-Chief Stephen Hayes told staff in a series of phone calls Tuesday, according to two people familiar with the matter.
The magazine's precarious position comes after its leadership spent months searching for a buyer, the people told CNN.
The people explained that The Weekly Standard's leadership had butted heads with MediaDC, the current parent company of the magazine, and that the two parties had agreed to allow Hayes to search for a new owner.
However, MediaDC recently informed The Weekly Standard's leadership that the company was no longer interested in a sale, the people said.

Instead, Ryan McKibben, the chairman of MediaDC, asked to meet with Hayes in a meeting tentatively scheduled for late next week, the people said. McKibben, they said, also requested the entire staff of The Weekly Standard be made available following the meeting.

I am having trouble being unhappy about this.

Kristol’s rag was at the vanguard of bullshit propaganda.

The Neocon News. When The Standard closes they can all go join the military and get shot fighting in one of their neocon adventures.

Ah that is so sad diogenes,

I thought the standard was going gangbusters being the tabloid version of culture 11.

Can somebody explain in a comprehensible way exactly what happend in Parliament today about Brexit. I get that it sounds bad for May. Does it also put Brexit, or at least "real" Brexit in doubt?

She was blowing smoke she has no intention of following through with a real break with the EU, the powers that be want the UK subjugated to the germans. They want to get rid of the article that makes it possible.

I am sorry that your dog is no longer here in this world,
a world that you made better by being a loyal and kind friend to your dog.

May God bless you and every creature you love or ever have loved or ever will love.

So Mueller took DJT's advice to Comey and went easy on Flynn. Kudos to Mueller for that.

Of course, the TDS-affected media assumes that Flynn has somehow implicated Trump in wrongdoing by being so co-operative in the investigation. The more likely explanation is that Flynn simply realized that he hadn't done anything illegal in the first place, and there was no jeopardy in cooperating.

Loving this cycle of the liberals getting all worked up over the latest Mueller legal actions...only to be despondent hours and days later when they realize its another in a long line of nothingburgers.

Rinse and repeat.

Diogenes I am sorry to hear that. I've been there and done that with each of my dogs, and it never gets easy. A dog will love you--and then break your heart when the time comes. I hope that, after a suitable period of mourning, some other four legged friend comes along and makes its way into your family.

My wife and I are living with, and being loved, by the sixth dog we've "owned" in a long and happy marriage. When it comes to dogs, I don't know if we own them, or they own us.

It seemed like a thousand crows congregated at a local outdoor mall where I live. The main store is a Home Depot. They were in the air and walking on the ground. What exactly they were up to, I can't say. It was a bit like Hitchcock's film "The Birds."

Un-possible, as LLR Chuck is much further left than MSNBC.

stephen cooper said...

Trumpit - that is an interesting observation, generally that only happens when there are a lot of trees around.

The crows have no need to eat, they are full of the good food of autumn, and they congregate because they enjoy each other's company, and are safer together than they are apart, and they hope that one of them will be good at figuring out the best general direction to fly off in.

I love crows, and I understand them pretty well, or I am just bullshitting. You choose what to believe.

tim in vermont said...

Crows do that Trumpit. Always have. In the summer they spread out, and in the winter they congregate. It’s not global warming.

On another note, I think that the big social divide came with the Kavanaugh hearings, when every man who has ever known a batshit crazy woman, and trust me, just read the news, they are out there in numbers, was told that they must believe her without evidence and thus expose themselves to conviction based on the accusation of any and all crazy ex girlfriends. They are even forced to deny there is any such thing as a crazy ex girlfriend or be seen as a traitor to their political party. It’s just too much.

Our yard is pie shaped with our house situated at the crust. A few weeks ago there was a murder of crows circling over the point cawing away. It attracted my husband’s attention so he went to the window. He saw a bobcat slinking up the side of the yard. It had a kill that attracted the crows. My husband was so excited I got him a night vision camera (AA portal) for the backyard for Christmas.

tim in vermont said...

One thing I only learned recently about crows is that their main natural enemies are owls, so they like to be protected from them by grouping together at night when they are not raising their young.

tim in vermont said...

Rumors had been circulating throughout the media class Tuesday about the fate of The Weekly Standard in the wake of the magazine’s dwindling readership and circulation, despite a rebranding effort as the preeminent right-leaning periodical for conservatives opposed to President Donald Trump.

I hear they even personally contacted their reader, and Chuck was all like “Hey! I still. got MSNBC, CNN, and my daily Treachery ."

Interesting. We used to have a lot of crows in the neighborhood. Now we don't, but we do have a lot of owls.

"Can somebody explain in a comprehensible way exactly what happend in Parliament today about Brexit. I get that it sounds bad for May. Does it also put Brexit, or at least "real" Brexit in doubt?"

Everything May has done is to make the exit process look like a complete and utter disaster, and the reason for this is that she wants to be able, at some point before March, to throw up her hands and tell the public that it is a mess that requires a second referendum despite all her earlier denials of such a thing. The Remain faction never conceded that they lost, and they will do whatever is necessary to win the 2nd vote.

When May's "plan" fails in Parliament, she will use that event to call for a new referendum with the "bipartisan" backing of Labour. The media will then go into overdrive to sell, first, the calling of a 2nd referendum, then go into overdrive supporting Remain.

I think the Remain faction will have to cheat to win the 2nd vote, and I think they won't hesitate to do so.

OK , Seriously, that was a brilliant comment, Chuck . Trump wanted Flynn to get off Scott Free but Scott Free objected so after19 meetings and a long wait, Michael Flynn will testify that he is prepared to testify that Trump told him to “make contact with the Russians.” No jail time for our war hero.

Great Britain like the rest of Western Europe is finished. They don’t have enough children and they have no cultural, psychological, or spiritual strength.

The Muslims will continue to take over Geear Britain, France, Germany, and Belgium. They will turn them into Middle East shitholes.

England gave away its empire with both hands. They deserve what they get.

Nigel Farage has quit UKIP over the Muslim question. He was right for the Brexit campaign and he’s right to quit now. He doesn’t get the Muslim problem in England. Too bad. He’s one of the few people able to speak the truth about the poor choice the English Ruling Class made to join the EU.

[Nigel Farage is] one of the few people able to speak the truth about the poor choice the English Ruling Class made to join the EU.

The problem with the elites is they have absorbed only half the lesson of modernism. They believe that the future world will be radically different than the present -- but they think that they know what that future will be.
They believe that the future will see people of their social class saving the planet, and settling the racial and economic issues that have plagued mankind for thousands of years.
They do not believe that there is any valid reason for a person to question their vision of the course of history.

More precisely, Mueller wants it to go away so that the criminality in the FBI, such as modifying the 302s, doesn't come out in court, with agents (and maybe Mueller himself) going to prison.

Anita Villegas said...

Hi Trumpit, thank you for saying this. It's the same thing my mother once said to me, so, since I don't know you, I don't care. Your feelings about abortion, belong to you. And your little argument about having a rapist's kid is a pure straw man. You are not prepared to argue with me, not at all.
