Wait. Does that look like Valerie Jarrett?
For any Christians (and other interested parties) in the commenting audience, there's an amazing letter making the rounds online from a detained Chinese pastor. I found it very inspiring and edifying.

We were talking about David Duke today — only talking, not searching the web or typing anything into the computer — and later today I got email from David Duke.
Coincidence or good reason to think my computer is hearing us and using the information?
That's racist. I grieve.
Perhaps David Duke is emailing everyone who has blogged about the Prada ad.
Synergy.
I am Laslo.
Diverse, maybe. Anti-something, indubitably.
"Coincidence or good reason to think my computer is hearing us and using the information?"
Do you have Google home in the house? If it happens again I'd get rid of all the copper in the house (SF story reference).
Coincidence or good reason to think my computer is hearing us and using the information?
It might be coincidence, but that kind of stuff stopped happening to me when I disabled the Google app in my phone.
A homage to chaos, with a stream of thought invocation...
I recall orange-colored apes on Planet of the Apes. Were there orangutans, too?
David Duke and Chinyere Ezie. In one day. Poor Ann!
it's your phone, btw
Maybe consider a different browser.
I think that the confirmation for me was when I mentioned to a friend out loud, without searching or anything, that I wanted to buy a sling TV when I meant and Apple TV and I started getting ads for Sling immediated. That’s when I disabled the Google extention, or app, or whatever it was.
I try to avoid Google as much as possible, but they basically enjoy a tax on the economy at this point.
If you get unripe apples for Christmas, make apple sauce with them. It is easy to do - Joy of Cooking - and much better than any you can buy.
Lefites will push to reinstate SALT deductions without a second thought to how irresponsible it is to let working Americans keep more of their own money (according to the lefties own standard).

Being somewhat detached from politics this last week or so because of some work stuff and Christmas prep made me realize how much happier we could all be if we were regularly detached from politics.
There's a novel based on the screen plays of planet and beneath, that tells the backstory of Taylor and how he came to land on simian earth (they collided with another probe) and his final days
Tom Brady didn't have it today. Or at least not what we are used to seeing.
Patriots could be in for a wild card game.
I've been watching pewdiepie lately trying to understand what this is about. Slowly I think I'm making progress.
Here are two videos that are just short of genius:

I'm white

Both he and Rodgers are in a decline. Rodgers was awful today.
Good grief David Duke is the nasi version of Hollywood squares hes been chased out of Russia eastern European even the Iranians wont let him crash on their couch.
Deconstructing Comey's weasely spin before Congress on the FISA Warrants:
DC Chuch Ross:
COMEY: DOSSIER WAS UNVERIFIED BEFORE AND AFTER FBI USED IT TO OBTAIN SPY WARRANTS
"Former FBI Director James Comey told Congress that the Steele dossier was unverified when it was used to apply for spy warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page."
"...The former FBI chief signed off on three out of four spy warrants granted against Page."
'...According to a transcript of Comey’s testimony [before Congress] released [last] Saturday, the former FBI chief also asserted that it was “not necessary” for the FBI to assess the sources that dossier author Christopher Steele used to compile his report, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign.
[Comey:]
“I think I’ve dealt with warrants where you just identify that your primary [confidential informant], or primary source, has subsources, and so long as the court is aware of that phenomenon and that you’re speaking to the reliability of the primary source, to my mind, that’s a totally legit warrant application,” he said.'

WAPO: The British spy behind the Trump dossier helped the FBI bust FIFA
"...[After Steele "had been hired in 2009 by England’s Football Association to investigate allegations of corruption by FIFA"] In 2010, Steele helped deliver information about FIFA to the FBI that eventually led to indictments of many current and former officials of the soccer governing body [headquarters in Switzerland], as well as the ouster of longtime FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2017/01/13/the-british-spy-behind-the-trump-dossier-helped-the-fbi-bust-fifa/
This fig leaf does not cover the FBI's big problem. That Steele's report was compiled from anonymous Russian sub-subsources of the unknown paid Russian subsources to whom FBI source Steele had farmed out collection of the unverified material in the Dossier. Since Steele has refused to identify his sources and didn't know the names of the subsources, it has been impossible to verify the credibility of the Dossier (except to show that at least some of its information (Michael Cohen's visit to Prague) was demonstrably false.
Helping the FBI bust FIFA doesn't elevate Steele's credibility as a source for a FISA warrant to electronically surveil Carter Page.
Saint Comey is a weasel. But we knew that already.
According to appelbaum (that clever Israeli data miner, Steele did no original work for the fifa case either.
Their didn't appear to be a direct Russian tie, there was one to Qatar though.
I have been trying to figure out the Flynn thing. If I understand this correctly, the FBI, having surreptitiously recorded General Flynn, an official in the new Trump administration, talking with some Russian, tricked him into agreeing to meet with two agents without a lawyer present, to see if they could get him to lie about it.
Now, whether he lied or not, I don't know. Andy McCarthy thinks he did, but his reasons strike me as naive. He thinks the system works, 'cause he has been part of the system for most of his life. He imagines that a thing like Comey is ethical. Like I say, naive. But setting that to one side, what possible justification could there be for the FBI to assign two agents to creating an opportunity for a member of the new administration to lie to them about a non-criminal matter about which they were already fully informed? And why should anyone in the Trump administration ever agree to talk to any of them again?
Because he committed the cardinal sin, doubting the judgement of Obama, recall though halper had been poisoning the well for the better part of two years starting with the matter of miss lokhova, also the matter of the sympathetic brief agr ainst mccabe.
That raises the question of why he trusted those agents, well he hadn't had need to distrust them, he had worked with them in the past, he had filed proper paperwork in the fara matters.

“Lefites will push to reinstate SALT deductions without a second thought to how irresponsible it is to let working Americans keep more of their own money (according to the lefties own standard).”
The absurdity is that Dems seem to automatically agree that corporate rates should be restored to their former high rates, in order to subsidize restoring the unlimited SALT deduction - that very, very few of them can utilize. Almost the only people countrywide that benefited from the unlimited SALT deductions were the extremely wealthy living on either coast. But I know good friends who have minimal SALT deductions that preach this as gospel. They are told by their leadership (who benefit from the unlimited deduction) that limiting it was evil, and so that is what they believe, even if it means less money in their pockets. Sheeple, despite their prestigious graduate degrees.

Let's try to make this Christmas season a ratchet back to, or forward to, what we know we really want: love in all its depth to all people of good faith.
Well that is certain, it striking how faith has been swept so thoroughly from the public square and pagan spirituality and politics have filled the gap. Burleigh noted how quickly it happened in western Europe in sacre places
That has got to be racist to someone in the world. Shame on you.

Ann, David Duke sent you an e-mail because he finds a comfortable home in your blog.
Glad to see William Kristol get deep-sixed this past week. He played a big role in promoting Sarah Palin as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate ten years ago. It is only fitting that he, Paul Ryan, Jeff Sessions, and so many other conservatives would be taken out by the hillbilly blood and soil populist politics they mistakenly thought they could control. Thump has done what Democrats could not do—he obliterated movement conservative politics and decimated the careers of those who tried to advance it. Thanks Trump!

QDQN'T TELL IF TRUE OR TREAM
DEEP DOWN INSIDE I FEEL TO SCREM
NOTHING IS REA L BUT PAIN NOW
whold my breath as I wish for death,
Oh please GGod take me
Jow that the war is throug with me,

Siri has trained you to push a button? It is all tracked regardless of what they claim.
No it was the one right thing he did, he was removed from the times editorial page and replaced with that paperweight douthat for it
can't remember anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
This terrible silence stops me
Now that the war is through with me
I'm waking up, I cannot see
That there's not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now
[Chorus 1]
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, wake me
[Verse 2]
Back in the womb it's much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can't look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I'll live
Fed through the tube that sticks in me
Just like a wartime novelty
Tied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me
[Chorus 1]
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, wake me
[Chorus 2]
Now the world is gone, I'm just one
Oh, God help me
[Chorus 1]
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, help me
[Bridge]
Darkness imprisoning me
All that I see
Absolute horror
I cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell
Landmine has taken my sight
Taken my speech
Taken my hearing
Taken my arms
Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell
As for Paul Ryan, Joe Biden beat him like a red headed step child and he was still promoted after patsy Murray skunked him in the budget debate to be speaker.
For over thirty years the Republican Party was dominated by followers of Ronald Reagan who viewed themselves as principled conservatives. They are now almost all vanquished from the party. It is now a party that is almost total built around the cult of Trump. The Hillbillies need someone to worship.

Great, you can explain how President Trump's policies differ from Reagan.
He cant Bolton goes back to gold water, Pompeo was stationed at the fulda gap in the hottest part of the cold war, haspel was probably a career trainer in the middle east section
All the Democrat front bench like Biden and Kerry was buying the Soviet borscht we the nuclear freeze, Obama was so toasted he thought it was some kind of ice cream, later Kerry was carrying the sandinistas water, along with Jim Wright tom red Harkin and Chris dodd.

Are we not vanishing into extinction fast enough to suit you? Malon labe.
"The Hillbillies need someone to worship."
Why did the Democrats choose, first Obama, then Hillary? Was it their competence or proven record, or was it because each was nothing more than a symbol of worship - a big fat signal of their virtue, a sacrament to the new religion, a religion that hates history - all of it, i.e., what we are made from.
Trump was hired to do a job - a dirty job - in a dirty town.
Obama thought Peter toff had insights into nuclear disarmament, he didn't get any wizer 30 years later.
Trump can't finish the job, but if he does not get some of it done, he will be gone - big league. By contrast, failure has no cost on the left.

Projection, thy name is Democrat.
Patreon seems to have started purging any Conservative they can find and have, as a result, lost a lot of customers.
But as long as women continue to show off their bodies in lingerie, they will probably be okay.
But do they really think that when all Conservatives are shut out, that they will just disappear or will they try 'politics by other means'?
It seems the tech giants of Cali are short on history courses.

Christopher Steele provided information about one Russian, who was not indicted.
No Russians at all were indicted.
Nobody was indicted based on any information provided by Steele.

No app on your phone or Meade's has the microphone enabled? My money would be on the phone, possibly working with your ISP or cable box in the case of DirecTV, which bragged about stuff like that in AdWeek.
The only real contacts Steele probably had were dissident Russian circles in the UK perhaps France along with some Chechen contacts he was png'd in russia.
Has anyone checked out the Conor Barnes article "Sad Radicals" at Quillette.com?
I found the comment section quite interesting too.

It Appears Strzok Was Kept on Special Counsel to Replace ‘Missing’ January Flynn 302 Report
Lisa Page leaves Special Counsel staff = July 15, 2017
Peter Strzok interviewed about Flynn interview = July 19, 2017
Strzok removed from Special Counsel's staff = "late July" 2017
See the stories don't make any sense under scrutiny. There was a llosely described Litvinenko character in a gerald Seymour novel set in kaliningrad and spurs enough he had a vritish handler, gabriel something.
It will be interesting to see the reaction to putting Trump in jail while overlooking similar issues (Campaign finance violations) from both Obama and Hillary. We are past the event horizon on a one part banana republic. I can’t wait for Jonah Goldberg’s column, if they let him publish it “When they came for Trump, I cheered them on, because he insulted people!"

Here's where Amazon's Alexa keeps your voice recordings. Of course those are just the commands. If you're using Alexa you've given Amazon permission to listen to everything within reach of the microphone. Given the quality of the recordings it's a powerful microphone, too.
Who gives unripe apples as a Christmas present? Is that such a thing?
Except as a young lad, wandering through apple orchards looking to steal an apple (too early in the growing season), I have never experienced an unripe apple (Those that I did, I regarded as small apples and ate them anyway without a problem). Do grocery stores and fruit & vegetable stands even carry unripe apples? (Or is it unripened?) Fun fact: you can use an apple to ripen other young fruit. And if you do receive some unripe apples as a gift, is it okay to regift them, presumably after they've ripened? Is that okay, hostess?
Thanks for the idea and recipe, though. Love me some apple pie.

I ordered a radio on line from Radio Shack on Dec 11. The package started from Ft Worth TX using (FedEx). At 12:52 am the package arrived in St Paul MN on the 14th, it was then sent to Osseo MN and arrived at 7:19 pm. NOTE: Osseo is farther away from me than St Paul. Package was sent back to St Paul on the 16th and arrived at 9:38. NOTE: St Paul is about 40 miles away from me. Scheduled delivery is Thursday the 20th before the end of the day. I'm having one of those WTF moments.
I ordered something bigger than a breadbox for my brother on Friday, and Amazon says it was delivered Saturday. It must be because I forgot to use The Portal.
Probably was put in container for Oosseo.

Actually, we probably do know the source of at least some of Steele's allegations, and the big reason that they aren't going to fess up, is that they, as well as tge FBI, likely committed federal felonies along the way. What we do know, from redacted FISC opinions, is that FISA Title VII database searching by unsupervised contractors for no identified national security reasons was rampant in the first 4-5 months of 2016. Title VII involves searching electronic records of US citizens and legal resident aliens in the US without a warrant for identified tnational security reasons. And then the queries were apparently unmasked by the Obama White House, much of which was done by UN Ambassador Samantha Powers, who had no role requiring any unmasking. The smoking gun there, of course, was the claim that Michael Cohen had gone to Prague. Wrong Michael Cohen, and about the only way that anyone could have gotten that information was using "about" queries of databases containing Immigration And Customs information. The "about" queries terminated by NSA Dir Adm Rogers in May, 2016.
What is scary is that the Obama White House, Lynch/Yates DoJ, and Comey FBI, working together committed industrial level 4th Amdt violations there, by surveiling US citizens without the Constitutionally required warrants. FISA Title VII was added by the PATRIOT Act after 9/11 to prevent terrorist attacks. Significant safeguards were put in place to protect the Constitutional rights of US citizens. The chilling thing is that it was enacted under GW Bush, and the safeguards blown up by the next Administration. And no one is probably going to jail for doing so.

The Federalist posted the original request to the FEC against Crooked Hillary, her various committees, 40 state parties, and the DNC. The FEC did nothing with the complaint, which had page after page of spreadsheets showing the blatant campaign finance violations, since 4 of 6 commissioners are required to open investigations, and Senate Dems have refused to name a Dem replacement, so there are only 4 sitting members (commissioners are appointed in pairs, one for each party)). Since nothing was done with the complaint, the law provides that the FEC can be sued in the DC Federal District Court. This was done in April, 2018 (Committee to Defend the President v. FEC alleges failure to act on administrative complaint (D.D.C. 1:18-cv-00888-RDM). Latest action was a response by the plaintiff to the FEC's motion to dismiss for, I believe, lack of standing, in maybe July. Of course, that is the problem - who would have standing to sue for campaign finance violations? In any case, in their page after page of spreadsheets, they have documented over $84 million dollars in illegal contributions that ended up being spent on the Clinton campaign. And, if the FEC wins here, and gets the suit dismissed, Crooked Hillary and the Dems will likely have gotten away with illegally funneling almost $100 million from super donors to her campaign - in many cases almost $1/2 million per donor.

I am as well but from finding out that Radio Shack is still in business.
I like Roz Chast's work very much. As a former New Yorker I enjoyed "Going into Town" very much, but so far her greatest achievement is "Can's We Talk About Something More Pleasant?" It takes a very serious subject (the aging and death of Chast's parents) and yet--without trivializing the serious part--finds humor in it. I thought the book would be too depressing, but I found myself laughing out loud; and then, toward the end, getting verklempt. I recommend it highly.
FedEx turned over the package to the local Post Office, and was delivered about 2 pm.
