"If Sessions is fired, there will be holy hell to pay. Any effort to go after Mueller will be the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency."

Said Lindsey Graham back in July 2017, quoted in "‘Coward’ Lindsey Graham Called Out For Empty Vow To Unleash ‘Holy Hell’ On Trump/The South Carolina senator once warned the president not to fire Jeff Sessions. Now, he’s singing a different tune" (HuffPo).

Now that Lindsey Graham has seen the evil that was displayed in the Kavanaugh hearing, he has grown a pair and sees it like Trump does.

The Kavanaugh hearing made clear, to those who thought it was just Trump, that the Democrats would criminally lie about anyone on the right. Graham was late to understand this, but not too late.

That statement was 16 months ago. Trump didn’t fire Sessions or Mueller back then.

Mueller has come up snake eyes after 18 months. And Sessions hasn’t been successful. Both have proved to be useless geriatrics. They both had long enough to prove themselves. And they both proved to be failures.

In the meantime, Trump has fired Priebus, Bannon, Rex, Pruit, Price, and McMaster.

Also LeBron moved to the Lakers and Kyrie switched to the Celtics. Shit changes.

The Trump presidency is measured in dog years.

Sessions and Mueller aren’t federal judges. They don’t get lifetime appointments.

Jeff Sessions was supposed to recuse himself because:

* there was an investigation of Russia meddling on Trump's campaign staff

* Sessions had served on Trump's campaign staff.

This investigation was about two members of Trump's campaign staff.

1) George Papadopoulos

2) Carter Page

The investigations of both of these campaign-staff members were bogus. All the "evidence" was concocted by a DOJ/FBI cabal. Here is how the evidence was concocted:

a) Campaign-staff member is introduced to a DOJ/FBI secret agent who tells something about Russian meddling in the election

b) The same campaign-staff member is introduced to a second DOJ/FBI secret agent who asks the campaign member whether he has heard anything about Russian meddling in the election

c) DOJ/FBI obtains a FISA warrant based on intelligence reports that the campaign-staff member seems to have obtained secret knowledge about Russian meddling in the election.

In these circumstances -- because Sessions had been a top member of the campaign staff --he was supposed to recuse himself as Attorney General from this DOJ/FBI continuing, never-ending investigation of Russian meddling in Trump's campaign staff.

=====

Sessions as the new Attorney General should studied this DOJ/FBI "investigation" for a couple of weeks and then terminated it and announced that he soon would issue a report, along with declassified documents, expecting the investigation's fraudulent essence.

Instead, though, Sessions meekly recused himself, because he had served on the campaign staff that was being investigated fraudulently and forever.

George Papadopoulos was an expert in petroleum issues involving the eastern Mediterranean. He had had nothing to do with Russia.

Nevertheless, when he became an adviser to Trump's campaign staff, he was maneuvered into Russian issues. He was made into someone who had obtained secret knowledge about Russian-intelligence secret operations.

This development was monitored by the DOJ/FBI cabal that was trying to prove that Trump was being blackmailed by Russian Intelligence.

The second campaign-staff member, Carter Page, indeed was an expert about Russia.

------

The DOJ/FBI cabal -- since it itself was concocting all the "evidence" -- knew that neither Papadopoulos nor Page were involved in any improper dealings with Russia.

The DOJ/FBI cabal was framing both members of Trump's campaign staff in order to justify FISA warrants to capture and study all the communications of both of them.

The DOJ/FBI cabal was looking primarily for any indications that money was being transferred between Russia and ...

* Trump's campaign staff

* Trump himself

* Any relatives or associates of Trump.

Any such indications would be interpreted tendentiously and then leaked to Trump-hating journalists.

There did not have to be any real proof at all. All that was necessary was that Trump-hating journalists report that Trump was being investigated by DOJ/FBI because of serious suspicions that he was being blackmailed by Russian Intelligence.

=======

This was the DOJ/FBI "investigation" from which Jeff Sessions was supposed to recuse himself because he had served on Trump's campaign staff.

An example of the effort to frame George Papadopoulos and Donald Trump:

======

Around July 23 to 25, 2016, Papadopoulos had a meeting with Sergei Millian. Papadopoulos had previously messaged Ivan Timofeev, asking for any information on Millian. The two [Papadopoulos and Millian] met in New York, and Papadopoulos noted that he thought Millian was recording him using his phone.

Millian contacted Papadopoulos in late September or early October 2016, and they met again. Millian proposed a suspect arrangement:

“He comes to me, saying ‘I have a deal for you, for $30,000 a month, a great office in Manhattan, it’s simply PR for, I think he said, some ex-minister in Russia. But the qualifier is you have to work for Trump at the same time — in his administration — and you can’t tell anybody.’”

Papadopoulos said he told Millian, “Listen, I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m not interested and I think you should just leave.”

Graham is singing different tune because 14 months have passed and no has been indicted for colluding with the Russians to fix the election. No one has even been indicted for trying to illegally tilt the election to Trump either. This investigation had been going on for almost a year before Mueller took it over. That is the problem- it should not have taken even 6 months to do this investigation. That has always been the problem with independent counsels- they are given unlimited mandates, money, and time. If you promise to give your lawn care guy a $100 every time he mows your lawn, he would be mowing every week in January. Mueller should have been given a deadline the day he was appointed of no more than 6 months into the future. I am guessing he got one today- shit or get off the pot.

There is no way to account for the Dems on that. So you've got that goin' for you.

Problem is with Trumpkin Land; where the God Emporer latched on to Senator Jeff Sessions, brought him into the campaign, adopted Stephen Miller like he was Tom Hagan, and pronounced that Sessions was part of the Greatest Cabinet Ever Assembled, and was part of a White House operating like a fine tuned machine. And thereafter as AG, Sessions carried out every imaginable policy initiative of the Trump Administration, all except for the policy initiative of evading the Mueller Investigation.

2017: Sessions is a great AG selection!

2018: Sessions must be fired!

Principles; not what the Trumpkins are practicing.

And for me, Jeff Sessions as Attorney General is so simple. Yes, he was a fine pick, and he preformed very, very well in his job. And based on that, he should not be fired.

I have none of the problems that you (a) called out among Dems and (b) ignored among Trumpists.

Oh how happy and gleeful that makes him!! One almost doesn't have the heart to tell him what a moron he is given his level of happiness. I don't mean Red Rider BB gun on Christmas morning happy, but still pretty happy.

Heck, according to Bob Woodward's book The Brethren, Justice William O. Douglas continued to serve on the Court even though his stroke left him incontinent.
*************

I've heard that Thurgood Marshall had the same problem, and that his clerks referred to him as "The Dark Incontinent."

Christians are politically incongruent. Although, liberal Christians are... No, probably not. Perhaps they can construct a close association, one, two, three lines apart, with a pro-life group? Keep your scalpels sheathed until there is a clear and progressive path.

Re: Justice Douglas per Wikipedia

"At age 76 on December 31, 1974, while on vacation with his wife Cathleen in the Bahamas, Douglas suffered a debilitating stroke in the right hemisphere of his brain. It paralyzed his left leg and forced him to use a wheelchair. Douglas, severely disabled, insisted on continuing to participate in Supreme Court affairs despite his obvious incapacity. Seven of his fellow justices voted to postpone until the next term any argued case in which Douglas's vote might make a difference.[44] At the urging of Fortas, Douglas finally retired on November 12, 1975, after 36 years of service.

Douglas's formal resignation was submitted, as required by Federal protocols, to his long-time political nemesis, then-President Gerald Ford. ...

Douglas maintained that he could assume judicial senior status on the Court, and attempted to continue serving in that capacity, according to authors Woodward and Armstrong, and refused to accept his retirement, trying to participate in the Court's cases well into 1976, after John Paul Stevens had taken his former seat. Douglas reacted with outrage when, returning to his old chambers, he discovered that his clerks had been reassigned to Stevens, and when he tried to file opinions in cases whose arguments he had heard before his retirement, Chief Justice Warren Burger ordered all justices, clerks, and other staff members to refuse help to Douglas in those efforts. When Douglas tried in March 1976 to hear arguments in a capital-punishment case, Gregg v. Georgia, the nine sitting justices signed a formal letter informing him that his retirement had ended his official duties on the court. Only then did Douglas withdraw from Supreme Court business. One commentator has attributed some of his behavior after his stroke to anosognosia, a neuropsychological presentation which leads an affected person to be unaware and unable to acknowledge disease in himself. It often results in defects in reasoning, decision making, emotions, and feeling.

BTW, CNN and MSNBC seem completely uninterested in the California Bar shooting.

Compare to the Synagogue shooting which had wall-to-wall coverage for 3 days. Or the mail pipe bomber.

Remember him?

Everything with the MSM is politics.

What are you talking about? 1) Where are you guys getting that the CA shooter targeted christians? 2) Where you getting that CNN / MSNBC aren't covering this? This is the most prominent story on on both of their websites.

You're insane. Disconnected from the world.

Curious George -- It is my understanding that Sessions was told that he had to resign yesterday or he would be fired. There is a credible legal argument that is not a resignation within the meaning of the Act. But let us let the courts decide.

There is no credible argument that Whitacker is not the acting AG.

There are a bunch of fuckhead leftists who don't give a shit about the rule of law anymore and will go find a judge appointed by a fuckhead leftist to get the ruling they want.

There is no credible argument that Rosenstein should not have recused himself.

If Mueller had any honor he would have recused himself.

What we have are a bunch of shithead losers who will do anything to get Trump out. They have already been caught in numerous crimes.

A real AG is coming.

Whitaker is going to make Rosenstein and Mueller follow the law in the meantime.

Real prosecutions for real law breaking are coming.

I always think of John You as a "fuckhead leftist" or as someone who sides with "fuckhead leftists." Nice try, heel.

The "preserves" will be strawberry and rhubarb. And they will be magnificent.

“The Democrats didn't give Christine Blasey Ford the groping-hands "treatment"; it was Kavanaugh who did that. ”

No credible evidence that ever happened. Sorry. And more and more evidence that the entire Ford thing was a setup, intentionally designed to delay confirmation vote. Her BFF, whom Ford had helped fake a lie detector test, to keep her DoJ attorney gig, who appears to have helped her draft her letter, ended her career at the DoJ in 2016 as the spokesperson for Preet Bahara, as SDNY USA - the only Obama era USA that Trump actually had to fire (all the others offered to resign). One of her attorneys had been been pushed out of the DoJ for being in the approval chain for the 4 fraudulent FISA warrant applications on Carter Page. The other one is also representing Andrew McCabe, the fired former FBI Deputy Director whose $70k conference room table was used to plan the Insurance Policy, as well, no doubt, those same 4 fraudulent FISA warrant applications.

So, let’s recap:
- no contemporaneous evidence
- other guys testified that they probably were the ones making out with her
- she can’t remember dates, locations, etc
- didn’t tell anyone for 30 years, then told Preet Bahara’s public spokeswoman
- lied on multiple occasions, including about her fear of flying
- the 3 people (BFF and 2 attys) sitting next to her in the Senate hearing are all Dem activists

The President of the United States can fire any political appointee. The Dems are saying that is obstruction of justice.

And the Ninth Circus is saying Obama's executive order can't be rescinded by Trump because they like it. Another day ending in "y".

Graham may have had something of a point when he said it. But two years later, with Mueller trying to keep his investigation alive by indicting people who either will never come to the US to face trial or who have nothing to do with the central issue, it's time for some adult supervision.
