"You know, they tried to scare me to not wear this hat—my own friends. But it’s hot! It gives me, it gives me power in a way. "

"You know, my dad and my mom separated, so I didn’t have a lot of male energy in my home. And also, I’m married to a family that, you know, not a lot of male energy going on. It’s beautiful though! But there’s times where, you know, it’s something about—I love Hillary. I love everyone, right? But the campaign, 'I’m With Her,' just didn’t make me feel, as a guy that didn’t get to see my dad all the time, like a guy that could play catch with his son. There was something about, when I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman. You made a Superman—that’s my favorite super hero. You made a Superman cape for me, also, as a guy who looks up to you … looks up to American industry guys, nonpolitical, no bullshit—put the beep on it—however you wanna do it, five second delay…"

Said Kanye West, talking to Donald Trump today. I got the transcription from "Inside The Historic Trump-Kanye Oval Office Summit" (New York Magazine). You can watch 24+ minutes of Trump and Kanye and Jim Brown, here:

ADDED: Kanye hugs Trump and tells him he loves him:

And yet the leftists call Kanye names, like uncle tom, house negro, etc. Is this because he has strayed from the leftist plantation and must be destroyed? Or maybe its because the leftists are the bad guys..

Are we the baddies

MSM reporters are offended that Kanye used the word "Motherf-----". They say he disrespected the White House.

How about Bill Clinton's behavior in the WH?

Sure, it's just one person. And sure, that one person has said idiotic things in the past.

But anyone who saw the day when Kanye West would be hanging out with - and praising - a Republican President, raise your hand.

There is a massive political shift underway and it scares the mob. It should.

If there's no sperm and a pussy dipped cigar on the desk, than it it wasn't as disrespectful to the office as Clinton was.

I don't really know who Mr. West is, and don't really care to learn but I'm glad he's getting some Male energy.

I can tell Trump loves it, because he really digs black people.

Hopefully, he won't be too upset when Kayne changes his mind and denounces him six months or a year from now.

CNN's experts say that Trump disgraced the presidency again with this "unseemly" meeting with a couple of black guys.

I'm confused. Can anybody explicate?

Well, Kanye, as definitely offbeat as he might seem to many of us, myself included, sounds and feels more sensible and correct than at least 51% of the professional political-motor-mouths out there right now - like Hillary, Schumer, Holder, Pelosi, Pocahontas and all their fist-waving mobs. He appears to me to be speaking from his heart as well as his well proven intelligence, common sense and PR savvy. That strikes me as a huge relief after a month of listening to miraculously recovered memories from HS w/ the accompanying Liberal greek-chorus....not to mention, Kanye is saying to Black America a message no one has dared to say before - think, speak and act for yourselves not for some PolOrg. This is a 'housenegro' that scares the shit out of the Liberal-Democrat party.

So Trump's coming to Missoula next week. That takes two brass balls...no Republican candidate ever comes here, much less president. Only place big enough is the UM Fieldhouse. Lol.

Where next, Berkeley? Boulder?

And so I had to pick this month for my knee surgery..good thing I'm too doped up to cry.

Quit football at the top of his game. Made some money in Hollywood. Went to the ghetto and tried his best to turn gangsters and potential gangsters around. A black power guy, in a good way.

All the politicals I've been around
And all the handlers I've met
I just don't seem to fit in
Knowing this, particularly sad, yeah
But it seemed so natural, me and this President here
Just talking over cigarettes and drinking coffee, ooh now

Apologies to Mr O Redding.

Don't underestimate Kanye. He is a brilliant talent. And he strings true connections together in one sentence faster than the MSM pretenders can sneer at him for doing it while they wonder what it was he said. The President understood every idea Kanye expressed, and will put them into action soon. That makes West the most powerful black American since MLK.

Yes, I also know that it's possible to view the link w/o clicking it. But, I like full transparency.

And, I do know that many folks won't deal w/ a typed out link. Good for them. Avoiding my comments in these threads is almost always the smart move anyway.

P.S. The href code is not the important thing re that track. It's the playback. Aside from the lyrics fitting this time and thread, the sonic mastery re the track is worthy of (and demands) killer systems.

IMHO.

And the next week, just before elections, maybe we can have nondrinker Trump have a visit from the ethanol producers, who will explain that when Iowa makes money from Republican policies, Republican presidents get elected and re-elected.

PPPT,

Kanye was running this show. W/ skiz.

He grabbed and dominated the mic, and he avoided DJT eye contact. So as to not open a DJT diversion door. Kanye looked at folks to DJT-left and DJT-right, but he quick scanned between. After a while DJT got K glances, but only for those moments when the interruption door was sealed. (Of course, all DJT ever had was vapid uncertain blather when he did pipe up, so he had no chance to battle w/ bars, from a pro.)

Anywho, Kanye jabber hit his talk points. First nonsense about multiverse stuff (Chopra style), then product placement (w/ more of that sprinkled throughout), then more showin' what "the culture" means. I.e., swingin' balls.

IMHO.

BTW, as soon as I saw this post (i.e. before commenting), I watched the whole 24+ minutes re the link. Before that I'd already read the mainstream jabber re this. And then I thought I had the take. Thanks to Althouse for gettin' me to see the whole thing. I had not had the take. More to think about. Made me play "H.M.L.". Been close to a year since that pleasure/experience. Still rocks.

Jim Brown was and still is just such an awesome person. It didn't have the drama of Jackie Robinson in 1947, but people today don't appreciate what a thing it was for a black to be universally acknowledged as the best running back in the NFL in the late 1950s. And he did it on his own terms, with swagger and style that anticipated people who came later, like Namath.

Patrick Henry said...

The Left and "deep state" never Trumpers made their fatal mistake when they though they could take him out instead of mold him and then use him.

Trump is a unprincipled politician, meaning he has no ideological political core. He hasn't intellectualized any political first principles, but is a populist. Ideological politicians say "these are my ideas, now come join me" (except the Democrats who say "we'll force them on you if you don't join us"). Trump says "where are the people? I'll join them." And this ideological vacuum could have been exploited by the Democrats.

Instead, even before the election, decided they'd try to destroy him instead of use him. They own the press (or the press owns them). It could have been used, a bit more subtly, to get Trump to turn left. He could have been a _Democrat_ president by now. He was barely a Republican when he started to run.

But, by going hard after him, he's punching back, twice as hard. I don't think his natural instincts are to govern from the right, but the left keeps pushing him that direction. The Left's declaration of war has removed Trump's ability to compromise (not because he can't, but because it not in his nature -- and we knew this going in to the election). Now, they're the Enemy and he's fighting to win. Their default position is to be against _anything_ he does so he's taken the same with them.

He's seen that he can't work with them, so he won't. And that's not _his_ fault, but theirs. They could have turned him into a trojan Democrat. Instead, they've angered an orange haired Dr. Banner.
