Kanye West: "My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in."

"I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!"

ADDED: From TMZ:
Kanye all but says the culprit is ultra-conservative Candace Owens. He said, "I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn't want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it."

Owens had said, "Blexit [black exit from Democratic Party] is a renaissance and I'm blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero -- Kanye West."

He sounds just like Trump when he uses three exclamation marks.

I am wondering who will have the inside track on the Republicans' 2024 presidential nomination. Kanye? Ted Nugent? Guy Fieri? Tomi Lahren? Richard Spencer?

It is impossible now to differentiate blog postings from the deepest lefty swamp and those of LLR Chuck.

You would think LLR Chuck would want to be a bit more discreet in camouflaging his operational alignment with the left, similar to all of his dem-funded Bill Kristol types.

But..nope. Its all out there now and there is no going back.

And thats a good thing, dont you think?

@Paul Zrimsek,

That's a great reference. Well done.

When I was younger, I was very liberal. I was also a classical music nerd (and still am). It was reading a biography of Prokofiev that helped me start understanding the nature of the Soviet Union. The biography also contained many details about Shostakovich and other composers, and what they faced. It dawned on me that Reagan was right about the "evil empire." This helped lay the foundation for me to become a conservative.

I remember the image of Shostakovich sleeping in his clothes so he wouldn't wake up his family if the secret police came for him at night. Harrowing stuff.

I never understood why Target would sacrifice millions of dollars in revenue to die on the transgender hill, and the same goes for Kanye sacrificing for Trump.

Just reading about how Sammy Davis Jnr. got destroyed by criticism after he was shown hugging Nixon.

He had to spend mucho time and effort getting absolution.

Earnest Prole,
Target is run by people acting as agents for the interests of shareholders. They are spending OPM.

Kanye is paying his own way.

Your examples could not be less congruent.

@Andrew: If you are feeling strong, try reading "The Great Terror" by Robert Conquest.

If that book were taught in college, Marxism would be a lot less popular than it is these days. Fat chance with that, though, comrade.

It is a useful reference for insight into the strategies of today's Left. And the reactions of their victims.

Maybe this will work better for you: I never understood why a talent like Barbra Streisand would waste her time, money, and artistic good name being a shill for various left-wing causes. It turns off as many people as it turns on, both politically and artistically, which makes her efforts a wash at best.

Birkel said...

I see.
Your concern is your lack of imagination.
Streisand didn't lose her audience or her Hollywood cache.
Or do you imagine Babs lost lots of conservative fans, in which case your imagination seems not to be the problem.

I pretty much assumed that this would be the end game for Kanye's dalliance with Trump all along.

So Kanye is FOR illegal immigration?

by the way - the 14th amendment was created to help slaves who were forced to move to America, be natural born US citizens.

Now it's used by wealthy Chinese mothers, for example, who come here on temporary visas in the last trimester of a pregnancy so their children can have duel citizenship after birth on US soil. Does that sound like something the 14th amendment should protect?

I think being illiterate might have something to do with it.

She once sent a FAX to Dick Gephardt and did not have her "personal assistant" compose it.

It was hilarious. It sounded like a 5 year old. A dumb one.

He doesn't want to be associated with Blexit, which is her thing.

Kanye enters room: "Good morning - uh, do I know you from the Los Angeles office?..."
A big fat man with a moustache walks over: "We may have met in passing but only briefly - the name is Jensen. Thanks for taking the time, I know it's valuable."
Kanye: "Never been to the Azores before. Might as well. Don't think I've heard of you though"
Jensen chuckles: Ain't that always the way, come sit down, can I get you a glass of something? I had just a few things to say about this recent marketing strategy
K: "wait. So who are you with again?"
Jensen: "The name is Arthur. Let me just get these blinds"

It seems he was not quite rich enough to have an opinion of his own.

That's one huge reason the Trump moment is a Hail Mary play.
The other side is so enormously wealthy and controls so many institutions that it does not seem that democratic politics has a chance.

Other countries don't have the depthless oceans of money of the US. Italy and Austria, Hungary and Poland and even Brazil can more easily escape, maybe.

It's amazing how intelligent white people are capable of understanding complex things, like the life of Shostakovich, but - when faced with something as simple as a bi-polar black man - they lose all touch with reality, and start reaching for complex things, like the life of Shostakovich, to explain them. Repeat after me:

Kanye West is bi-polar. That's all that we've seen - all that's happened - nothing more.

Shostakovich can sleep now, everything's alright.

Concerning Kanye, I didn't have an opinion of him one way or the other. I was just impressed that he expressed support for Trump, because it took courage. His actual conversation at the White House was overrated stream of consciousness self-absorption.

Ms. K did indeed. And gave Kanye credit for opening the door without endorsing President Trump on any other issues.

Does anyone expect Mr. West to have a fully formed, well reasoned political opinion that ALWAYS falls on one side of the fence? I certainly don't. He's new to the game. And, indeed, he's made statements that NO ONE or either side owns his thoughts.

Plus his ego would be offended by someone else trying to piggy back onto his celebrity with that comment by Ms. Owens.
