A new WaPo trend — giving Trump credit?

It takes 4 journalists to see it, but, apparently....

... Trump isn't an impetuous, wildly swinging idiot. What if he is what he says, a political genius?

Let's see how far the WaPo journalists go:
Again and again, President Trump was instructed not to do it. A cadre of advisers, confidants and lawmakers all urged him — implored him, really — not to personally attack the women who had accused Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

So he did it anyway.

Addressing thousands at a boisterous rally in Mississippi, Trump relied on his own visceral sense of the moment and mocked Christine Blasey Ford for gaps in her memory, directly impugning the accuser’s credibility.

Establishment Republicans initially reacted with horror. But Trump’s 36-second off-script jeremiad proved a key turning point toward victory for the polarizing nominee, White House officials and Kavanaugh allies said, turbocharging momentum behind Kavanaugh just as his fate appeared most in doubt....

Trump had no particular personal affinity for Kavanaugh, although a dinner was arranged between the two men and their wives to cultivate a relationship. “I don’t even know him,” the president told the Mississippi crowd, “so it’s not like, ‘Oh, gee, I want to protect my friend.’ ”...

“Kavanaugh’s an establishment guy. He was a Bush guy,” said Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.), referencing the nominee’s experience as White House staff secretary under President George W. Bush. “There was a lot of pushback, you know — ‘Don’t go [down] that road,’ ‘That’s not why you won,’ and he said, ‘Wait a minute. I want to pick the best people to be on the court I can,’ and he said he was incredibly impressed by his background, just the whole package of Kavanaugh.”...

[Kavanaugh's Fox News interview] was widely criticized — “objectively a horrible idea,” in the words of one White House official. Kavanaugh appeared wooden and dispassionate, sticking only to a few talking points, and Trump, an avid consumer and critic of television news, thought he appeared weak and unconvincing....

[The Judiciary Committee hearing with Ford and Kavanaugh] left the president seesawing from fatalism to enthusiasm about Kavanaugh’s confirmation prospects.

When Ford had finally finished, [White House counsel Don] McGahn spoke privately to Kavanaugh, who had not watched, urging him to be passionate. “Speak from your heart,” McGahn advised the nominee, according to someone familiar with their discussion.

Kavanaugh roared into the committee room and shouted his opening statement, which he had personally written the night before with the help of one trusted clerk. The hotly defiant performance was so effective in the eyes of his advisers — and, perhaps most importantly, of the president — that a group gathered in Vice President Pence’s Capitol Hill office began to cheer and pump their fists. Some even had tears in their eyes.

The hearing galvanized activists on both sides and left jittery senators — including Flake, one of 11 Republicans on the Judiciary Committee — torn between competing accounts and party loyalties.... McConnell spoke with Trump and convinced him that the only option was to delay a vote and move forward with the FBI probe....

On the campaign trail... Trump ratcheted up the partisan warfare at his rallies. In Mississippi, the president — already fuming over a New York Times investigation into his family’s allegedly fraudulent tax schemes — felt the media was not properly scrutinizing Ford’s account and decided to engage.

“How did you get home? ‘I don’t remember,’ ” Trump said, reenacting Ford’s hearing. “How did you get there? ‘I don’t remember.’ Where is the place? ‘I don’t remember.’ How many years ago was it? ‘I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know.’ ”

The riff lasted less than a minute, but had lasting ramifications. The senators whose votes Kavanaugh was wooing said they were aghast at the president’s rally-stage behavior. But Kavanaugh allies saw a clear benefit: An argument by the president that bucked up Kavanaugh, discredited Ford and became a clarion call for conservatives.

More than two dozen Trump supporters interviewed at the president’s campaign rally Thursday in Minnesota said they wish he had not gone after Ford, fretting that doing so was not presidential. Yet many also acknowledged the president had simply spoken aloud what many of them thought privately.
The reporters don't tie it all up. In fact the headline at the article is toned down from the one on the front page which you see in my image at the top of this post. At the article, there's less credit to Trump. It's just: "‘Willing to go to the mat’: How Trump and Republicans carried Kavanaugh to the cusp of confirmation." But the facts are there in the article. Trump critiqued Ford's testimony in clear powerful terms — something everyone else was afraid to do. He recognized that Kavanaugh's presentation on Fox News wasn't compelling (even though it was what the pushers of the "judicial temperament" argument claimed they needed to see). And during the hearing, after Ford testified, Trump performed a public routine of "seesawing" about whether Kavanaugh could make it, lighting the fire on him to shed his establishment guy/Bush guy demeanor and talk more like Trump.

That's all in the article, but with no strongly stated bottom line, Trump haters can shrug it off and cling to their belief that Trump is an impetuous idiot.

Thank you President Trump.

Women are lying like crazy about sexual assault and rape. I'm speaking from personal experience. I've seen them in their rehearsal sessions in Woodstock where they compete among one another to come up with the craziest drama queen story they can imagine.

I know a couple of women in Woodstock who literally drove themselves insane dreaming up every more violent stories of abuse. They destroyed themselves and their families in their pursuit of feminist martyrdom.

Women are being coached in women's studies programs to invent stories of sexual assault and rape. And they've defined both down to clunky, clumsy sex and not getting a phone call the next day.

We're in the midst of an epidemic of women lying.

Thanks President Trump for calling out all these lying drama queens.

The squishes were horrified by Trump as usual, and I was not impressed with Kavanaugh on the first day.

I want to thank the Democrats for showing him, and the GOPe, that they have no friends on the left.

Shouting Thomas said...

@Steve

Who the hell knows how many are made up? I think that varies from area to area. In hyper-lefty communities like Woodstock and on college campuses, I'd say the percentage is very high.

You've asked a deliberately obtuse question. I have very different opinions about a crime being committed against a family member and about the rule of law and the presumption of innocence. I'm able to distinguish between the two. Apparently, you can't.

I'd be pretty upset if a male member of my family were falsely accused of a sex crime. Wouldn't you?

Michael K said...

Steve is on a roll.

I understand that Flake just voted yes to confirm.

We need to also mention that most people who read mainstream media had no idea that there was no corroboration for Professor Ford's story. THe first time they heard that there was no evidence was when Trump was supposedly mocking Ford.... but the message was delivered nonetheless.

The average person is probably shocked to learn that there is NO evidence to back up Ford's story.

Also, the judicial temperament argument is totally bogus. If Kavanaugh had acted dispassionately during the hearing, the Left and media would have said "HE MUST BE GUILTY" because no innocent person would act dispassionately like that....

Trump did the Republicans a favor, because he attacked Ford's story in strong terms, and took all the political heat. This allowed all the R's to then cluck their tongues in disapproval. Good cop, Bad Cop.

Steve,

It seems that both you and Thomas are moving away from the specific allegations about Judge Kavanaugh into general allegations about sexual assault. That only muddies this conversation.

As I have stated before, this entire hoax was constructed to bamboozle women who have been mistreated by men who suffered no consequences for their actions. Our hostess is an exemplar of that target audience.

My guess is that most of that mistreatment never winds up in crime statistics. On the other hand, Democrats are trying to replicate a university culture where an accusation is equivalent to a charge of guilty.

The attempt to equate the general to the specific is Stalinesque. I wonder if you have thought about the consequences of such actions.

Blackout Brett wasn't being charged with a crime, and wouldn't be. I'm not sure "attempted assault" is even a crime. Is it? (I know I'm committing the thankless task of asking the retrogrades to do their own homework here, but oh well. Just to demonstrate how little they know of what they're talking about).

Blackout Brett is a liar, a partisan shill, intemperate and not judicially fit. Blackout drinking is enough of a stain on his formative character (and perhaps later in life, as well - assuming he never addressed it, which it appears he did not). But those other things prove that he just doesn't think that having an accurate memory and personal account of the facts of all the things he didn't remember doing while blacking out is important. It's VERY important.

And he knows that. That's why he angrily snapped at the Senator questioning his blackout problem. Thought it was legitimate to turn it around onto her. In what universe does a legitimate nominee for the Supreme Court find that outburst in any way temperamentally or judicially appropriate? In one where our retrogrades control everything and get away with appointing shitty nominees.

Blackout Brett thinks it's also ok for Sea World to kill one of their employees because they're an "entertainment" industry. This is the guy who feels he should have been privileged at birth to decide the rights of 320 million Americans.

Republicultists jumped the shark long ago. They richly deserve the contempt the majority of the country holds them in and the infamy with which they'll be written about in the history books.

One of the things not commented on much is the media jujitsu involved:
First, Trump spoke to a crowd in Mississippi, then the news outlets played the clip over and over. They could have buried the argument about Ford's credibility, but they put it out there to deplore it.
Next, Collins said that she would announce her intentions. The media arranged nationwide live coverage and, instead of a short statement, she did a 45-minute infomercial for Kavanaugh, with just her and two other women in the frame. She covered everything, down to severability of unconstitutional elements of legislation (she seemed to be saying that we will be getting Merrick Garland). It was like the old joke of watching a fight and having a hockey game break out. Imagine, a Senator deliberating greatly!
Media savvy is not something most of the media seems to have.

Men and women have equal rights and responsibilities under the law. That is why we must depend on principles such as the presumption of innocence for both the accusers and the accused. I believe that CBF is a fraud based on my understanding of the circumstances and nature of her accusations, not because there are anti-male feminists in the world.

President Pee-pee,
Alcoholic blackout is a real phenomenon caused by a rapid spike in blood alcohol. Much of the basic work in this was done with goldfish, because it is easier to manipulate the alcohol content of a fish swimming in water with added alcohol than it is to deal with an animal metabolizing alcohol at unknown rates. Blackout is a failure to process short-term memory into long-term memory. It is often characterized by sudden onset and sudden offset, so you have a disconcerting gap in your memory. The spike in alcohol level is the issue, rather than the ultimate level reached. Moreover, the nervous system adjusts, so that many people can reach high levels of intoxication without blackout.
Reporters and Yalies have been on television talking about Kavanaugh being very drunk, or passed out, or blackout drunk, but it is impossible to observe externally, since short-term memory is still active. Thus, unless Kavanaugh told someone he had a blackout, descriptions of his drunkenness are beside the point.

One very important difference between Trump and Hitler as orators is that Hitler spent a tremendous amount of time writing and editing his speeches. And possibly even more time rehearsing them. Each speech was a well prepared theatrical performance.

Trump, on the other hand, does it all with a casual air, nearly offhand, and seemingly opportunistically. That is, other than in his much less significant prepared speeches - less significant because they are essentially fillers, not tools to effect some result. We don't know how he chooses his material or if he prepares. Very likely its all in his head, constantly winging it. If so that really is genius.

You are correct with your statement! However, you forget 1 little fact - 60% of the World don't have Internet connections. Nevertheless, that number for the USA is 15%. But connections are different from usage. Almost three-quarters of Americans, (71%) watch local TV news and almost two-thirds, (65%) watch network news over the course of a month. And more than one-third (38%) of Americans watch news on cable television.

So my friend, Trump's tweet reached those people - not by Tweet, but by News coverage of his tweeting. Waiting for your illustrious response.

The tide was turned before the MS rally, IMO. When Trump refused to dump Kavanaugh at the first sign of messiness -- the leaking of the Ford letter was the defining moment. That's when the typical genteel Republican reaction might have been to fold up and look for someone less controversial. Of course Trump knows the streets, he refused to fold. He never leads from behind, he's a genuine leader. It's interesting that WAPO refuses to acknowledge that and instead uses the rally moment, sort of a left handed compliment. Typical.

What if you knew for certain that your daughter falsely accused a man of rape? What if she was accusing her brother, your son?

Now what if she said it happened at a party where everyone she claims as witnesses contradict her story, and she can't produce a single witness or scrap of evidence to support her? And what if your son was always an upstanding gentleman his entire life, and showed nothing but the greatest respect for women, according to everyone who knows him. Do you still believe her?

I would question her mental health, and if I thought she wasn't sick and needing help, I'd let her know what I think about liars in very strong terms, and I'd tell her how serious this lie is and how it will affect her relationships in life, including with me. I would demand a confession of the truth an apology and take that to the cops if she took her claim to them.

Ford is a liar and on multiple points. She did it under oath, with nefarious motives, and with help from powerful corrupt people. Some should face investigation and appropriate punishment. They all know about it, and Chuck Grassley, the Judiciary chairman is another senator who is so outraged that he will not let this drop. If the 302 reports merit it, a criminal referral may be made to the Justice Department for suborning perjury or some other charge. If and when a grand jury is convened, a thread can be pulled, possibly unraveling the myriad of ties between Monica McLean and her former colleagues at the FBI and DOJ, and their communications. Senator Grassley is already demanding text messages and emails. A grand jury subpoena may be much harder to ignore.

Let's see if Republicans have the nerve to pursue this.

@hstad: You're arguing against a point I didn't make. The point of my comment was to mock the media coverage.

Imo, far from playing "hardball", Trump held off on making any strong statements against Ford until it was clear to him that kavanaugh was going to be confirmed. His timing, as always, was perfect. He knows how to use the media to his advantage.

Of couse Trump's  comment was effective. But I don't think that was the turning point in the confirmation process. Kavanagh's strong opening statement is what saved Kavanaugh. If Kavanagh's performance had been weak I think Trump would have withdrawn him.

Trump was also smart to allow the Democrats their one week extension for the FBI "investigation". That not only killed a media talking point but it looks like it might be exposing some witness tampering, which is not good for Professor Ford's credibility.

What percentage are made up? No one actually knows. But a lot. The sexual harassment charges against me were completely false. One in my full time job, one in my part time job, within 2 month of each other. The first one even had my idiot male co-workers testifying as to how I talked all the time about sex with exotic women in foreign ports. Sort of like the scene in "Z"- "Lithe and fierce, like a tiger." The people that orchestrated the lies clearly thought it was an easy charge to level against a former sailor. But turns out it wasn't. The female investigator recognized the set-up as a set-up, and absolutely no formal or informal action was taken against me. It's all but impossible to take action against liars in these cases.

The second one in my part time job had 4 witnesses- FOUR!- to unwanted touching. An accusation by a black female against a white male. A slam dunk! In a building full of video cameras. Very specific testimony as to time and place. A black female investigator no less. Al I said is- "The building is full of cameras. Go to the recordings. It didn't happen." The investigator never got back to me. A few weeks later I heard unofficially that at the exact time they testified to (the problem with being specific) the accuser and witnesses were all outside the building taking a smoke break. At the exact time! They all should have been fired, but we all know how that works.

And even more curiously- a month or two after all this someone from my full time job who I saw only rarely (different job title, different area of work) came up to me in my part time job and told me to check the Facebook friends of the second accuser, using her name. I never told anyone at one job about the accusations at the other. Turns out the two were Facebook friends, graduated from the same high school. Pure coincidence I'm sure.

Now, would I believe any accusation my daughter made about assault, sexual or otherwise? Absolutely. She was brought up to tell the truth. And I did believe her as we made an emergency room visit after her ex-boyfriend punched her in the face. Very unfortunately we went with a police officer to the apartment after the ER visit to fetch her stuff. He had OD'd on drugs and alcohol in a suicide attempt and was unresponsive. Would have been successful if we hadn't shown up and the police not intervened.

Libel? NBC News Manufactures Text Messages Story to Claim Kavanaugh Lied Under Oath

On Monday, NBC News uncritically published a manufactured hit from lawyer Kerry Berchem, who attended Yale at the same time as Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and his second sexual assault accuser, Deborah Ramirez. According to NBC News, Berchem has a smoking gun in the Kavanaugh confirmation battle — text messages that prove the nominee lied under oath.

The texts prove no such thing, however. Instead, they merely confirm that Kavanaugh knew that Ramirez planned to go public with accusations against him, and he readied a defense. Indeed, NBC News had to twist the nominee's testimony out of recognition to make it seem like he had lied under oath.

George Hartmann, a spokesman for Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), said it best. "The texts from Ms. Berchem do not appear relevant or contradictory to Judge Kavanaugh's testimony," he told NBC News. "This appears to be another last-ditch effort to derail the nomination with baseless innuendo by Democrats who have already decided to vote no."

This outlandish allegation was put forth without any credible supporting evidence and simply parroted public statements of others. To know how much lower we can go and what Trump might save us from just look at the history of communism /socialism.

Under communism/socialism in its various forms in various countries in the 20 century 70,000,000 Catholics were killed. Or to take another instance, the Soviet communists killed 20,000 Polish intellectuals, politicians and military officers in the Katyn Forest putting the blame on the Nazis. What made these slaughters possible was the media of the day in those different countries which depicted all members of certain groups - Catholics, religious Moslems, Polish upper classes - as social wreckers holding back the possibility of justice for the downtrodden.

The Millennials and others are hoping to support justice and they have to be shown, persuaded, brought to see that they are supporting a process of degrading human beings. In America they are supporting eliminating due process and the presumption of innocence which are guaranteed to all by the Constitution because the Millennials who know no history think they will achieve justice for women that way.

Leftys always eliminate due process and equal justice under the law as we know from history, and the result is always degradation of fellow human beings accompanied by the rise of an enormously wealthy elite and a group of selfish privileged children to whom one can never allude and by a one-size fits all society for all those who aren't rounded up and in camps. 1% ride mountain bikes, 70% ride one-speed Schwinns and no one knows what the rest are doing or suffering. Life for the 70% is one long round of work and deference to political commissars (we call them diversity administrators in the US). Attendance at political meetings and mass rallies and informing on classmates and friends makes up the social life. There's always a new grievance to which one must respond with burning indignation and the grievance list explains why life does not get better.

This is how a part of the country already lives. The "Unhinged" left are just totalitarian citizens of a country in which they could be free if they so chose. That's why they seem so unhinged. There will never be an end to incidents and grievances until The US decisively defeats our own personal form of socialism. Socialism in the US is 24/7 digital twitter storms and they WILL NOT END - till we the people win. Incidents will keep coming till people realize real socialism is not their dream of justice. It's an endless round of five minute hates without an instant of real justice or peace led by media cheerleaders just as Orwell said.

Remember, Remember to vote in November

There's no real reason why lefty treason
Should keep what it has got.

In addition to buwaya's point, the fact that families no longer protect their women is due to the purposeful removal of fathers from the lives of many children.

The law is, in such cases, simply irrelevant. How is existence possible with such a stain on ones honor?

This is certainly true in a shame honor culture. We have changed to a law and guilt society.

It is always not only the right, but the responsibility, of the citizen to defend themselves.

Else we are all just victims waiting for the powerful and corrupt to abuse us.

The left wants a country of Clintons and Weinsteins in charge and their angry victims lashing out at the bad people.

We have to say no.

In order for us to a a country of free people we have to take the responsibility of taking care of our own.

The police are there to clean up.

On the contrary, history will soon forget John McCain. He was a transient little blip who had zero long term impact.

And come to think of it, a rapid retreat into total historical obscurity is a kindness to McCain, given what we now understand about McCains role in the lefty/dem/LLR setup of the Trump campaign with the hoax DNC/FBI/CIA russian dossier.

Expert opinion and intuition. The guy is so embarrassed at showing his elitist (nursemaid) stripes and admitting that such a hero of modern medicine as he believes himself to be (despite saying that Craig Venter "discovered the human genome") that he will tell everyone here any lie he can make up about me, over and over again. As if it becomes more original and interesting through repetition.

Ask yourself what kind of a person hates themselves so much that they have to pick another person to lie so incessantly about. Even before I get to a thread and comment about it he already starts mentioning me. Like a premonition. Or an emptiness.

Show me the wisdom in the combination of desperation and loneliness and ignorance and pride that massive.

Nah, too dramatic. She should just recuse herself from any case dealing with the executive branch for the 6 years remaining in the Trump presidency (or 'til death do we part.)

And now we see that the latest lefty/dem coordinated lie/hit job master blaster "Dr" Ford, will not file a police report regarding her made up assault.

Of course not.

Of. Course. Not.

Another in a long line of lefty mob actions that fell short.

Still, tomorrow is another day!

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Are you arguing that claim is not true, that you received a degree?

Oh yes. LOL. That really needs to be posed as an "argument." Sure.

Michael K. said it because he was embarrassed at revealing himself as an ass for stating that "Craig Venter discovered the human genome." Before that (and now) he said/says I work at a fast food place.

He then says that I didn't deny his cheap, third-rate insults - as if they needed to be dignified.

If you refuse to argue in good faith and just want to pull shit out of your ass to attack my character or person with then why should that be a surprise? It's all you Republicans know how to do. If you cared for "arguments" then you would actually conduct them. You know. The way arguments are meant and about what they're for: Impersonally and about the actual issues.

But if you did that your politics would fall apart.

You'd be much more effective at insulting Trump if you found a mentor. Anyone past puberty would do.

Trumpit is a moby. Performance art.

He is trying to make leftists look bad.

Problem is parody and reality are so close...

Well, when you former FBI deep stater is unable to intimidate witnesses effectively enough to get them to perjure themselves to advance the rather dumb lefty narratives, I guess Ford had no choice.

I'm with the people, wherever they might be. 320 million of them so we kind of spread out easily.

The same people who voted for a popular election result that didn't go your way in the last 6 out of 7 presidential elections.

The same people who don't need to be gerrymandered or voter-suppressed or deprived of social security or Medicare or basically any legislative policy that benefits them more than it does Ted Cruz's donors.

Why are you so against what the people actually want? How long do you think you can hide from it?

Obscurity is a matter of degree.

The Bush's will be remembered as the primary family of globalist traitors. But There will always be footnotes for "Keating 5" and "Gang of Eight."

The thumbs down on Obamacare repeal will be the picture next to his entry in the history books.

Few remember Danton either. McCain will probably hold a step lower than him.

What's it like going through life as such a follower? DOesn't it get tiring having to constantly find new boots to lick?

It must be remembered that McCain was essentially innocent in the Keating 5 affair, but since the other 4 were all dems and the dems didn't like the look/sound of that, they needed a patsy and schmuck that they could count on, and whenever the dems need a republican schmuck/Patsy to make themselves look better, and since LLR Chuck is not always around nor a Senator, the dems pulled McCain into it.

Sound familiar?

Okay okay.

Just to humor PPPT, if I had to locate an OWS type guy's penis, I would, while keeping my distance, indicate that it probably was located between the OWS guy's legs.

One should keep one's distance from the OWS types as they often, well, almost always, have a body lice and hoof and mouth disease issue.

Along with criminal records.

Not surprising since many of them think police cruisers are appropriate replacements for toilets.

But, in a good way I guess.

That is the essential lesson of John McCain.

He was there to be a "republican" and provide cover for the democrats who he was really trying to help.

He got elected as a republican and betrayed the people that voted for him.

Trump defeated the traitors and put the republican party voters back in charge of the party.

McCain's death will be symbolic of the death of the GOPe traitor wing of the party. Corker and Flake are gone. McConell and Graham have found their souls. Palin is going to remove Murkowski in 2022.

The timing of McCain's death will probably give him more of a place in history than otherwise.

he was embarrassed at revealing himself as an ass for stating that "Craig Venter discovered the human genome.

It would be interesting the have a letter from Ritmo on who did discover the genome, Jim Watson, who stole Rosalind Franklin's research?

Watson has been living off that theft for 50 years and, of course, was appointed by Clinton to head the "Human Genome Project," which expected to take ten years to decipher the genome.

Instead, Venter did it with private funds and new technology. At one point, when Watson complained, Venter said "Why don't you do mouse ?" The mouse genome has been very valuable in research but was not as sexy as the human and Watson had all that money to justify.

I suggest anyone who wants to learn the story read, "The Genome War. "

I have read both of Craig Venter's books, and this book confirms most of what he says. Taken altogether, they present an interesting view of what goes on when the government gets involved with science, and the methods used by the bureaucrats and their cohort. Anyone who is interested in maintaining the ideals of true science will find this quite illuminating. We are fortunate to have people like J Craig Venter to provide competition and save the taxpayers money.

That's the highest rated comment. Not by me.

Maduro and Raoul Castro are each interesting, in their own way. What they say and how they say it . Chavez was extremely interesting. A true demagogue, a humorist, an independent thinker, and extremely well-spoken. Later in his life often quite tedious though, but with flashes of the old Chavez. If you understand Spanish Chavez is very accessible, but you may need to get accustomed to Venezuelan dialect in parts, though he could turn dialect on and off.

Not Craig Venter.

Watson and Crick used a huge chunk of Franklin's understatedly credited research to "discover" the helical and sequential structure of DNA and propose an obvious replication mechanism.

The earlier experiments by Griffith, Hershey-Chase, etc. confirmed DNA as the genetic material, and hence I guess you could say "discovery" of what the genome was. It was in the DNA.

Whatever any of this has to do with your degrees or mine is anyone's guess. I suppose we can talk about it instead and it's more interesting than pissing matches. But I always thought so anyway.
