In anticipation of a leftist win in 2020, and a return to leftist normality, I have, by a series of clever ruses, come into possession of a top secret Pledge Of Allegiance to be issued by the newly elected Socialist Democrat administration, and which will require, under penalty of law, that every man, woman, child and other shall recite, aloud and with fervor, first thing in the morning, upon awakening, before doing anything else, no matter how bad you have to pee. Out of fear of retribution, I publish it here, in this obscure journal, for your horror and edification.

A PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

I pledge allegiance to the guys
And to the gals and otherwise
Of any gender who now rules
Because they went to better schools
Where sitting at professors’ knees
Were taught in order they may please
The great unwashed to live in ease
To eat free tater-tots and cheese
I pledge allegiance to, as well
Our rulers who like dressing well
In royal purple flowing robes
That look so good with tainted probes
Where royal purple is the hue
Replacing the red, white and blue
I pledge support for fascist thugs
And agencies that plant with bugs
My phones and eavesdrop on my words
And tell me I’m as free as birds
I pledge support for feminists
Who want to put me on their lists
Of white men they will order dead
And offer them my lice-filled head
Support I do democracy
Despite the rank hypocrisy
That permeates the very air
That put me in your tender care
My attitude is quite blasé
Now that elections are passé
I will obey like good men should
And for you pray, as good men would
I know that pronouns do great hurt
And here and now I will assert
That should forgetfully I blurt
A pronoun whether mild or curt
I will confess to the police
That such infractions well must cease
And hie me to a penal farm
Where my sharp pronouns do no harm
I place my hand over my heart
And swear that I shall do my part
To celebrate my being free
But just right now I have to pee

Postscript: It is certain that the pledge will admit of addition, so if any commenter has any such, please respond, and while rhyme is not obligatory, it is welcome.

Interestingly, the spying on Trump to destroy him was done by the Brits at Obama’s request. And the FBI understood that and did not protect the American President, but took up the work of destroying the American President using their work product and they are still doing it. No wonder Trump’s 4 Stars sent in the Marines and took the evidence to indict the Traitors in the CIA and FBI.

JFK’s revenge is finally coming.

gilber, sorry to hear it. Maybe my liberal friends have a tiny bit of class (dare I say civility?) because not one anti Trump post on FB today. A handful of lib friends actually posted "Never Forget" theme posts. One especially lib friend posted the old post 9/11 Anheiser Busch video that aired only one time.

Meanwhile, Twitter was full of idiots. Karen Tumulty's FIRST tweet of the day (she was once with Time magazine, not sure where she is today) pointed out that Trumps FIRST tweet was not related to 9/11. they can't help themselves - Trump lives in their heads 24/7.

Mr. Pants is in England right now and keeps seeing little crossed-out pound sterling symbols. He finally asked his work colleage what the story is and evidently the government is leaning on businesses to refuse cash transactions over twenty pounds, to force the use of electronic payment, the better to track everything as an "antiterrorism" measure.

Omg the Brits break my heart when they aren't cracking me up.

He also caught a morning show in which earnest biddies were discussing how earnestly they want government functionaries to prowl internet forums to police "hate speech."

Song lyrics by Taylor Swift (1989 - )
-----

Love Story

We were both young
When I first saw you.
I close my eyes,
And the flashback starts.

I'm standing there
On a balcony in summer air.
I see the lights,
See the party, the ball gowns.

I see you make your way
Through the crowd
And say, "Hello".
Little did I know
That you were Romeo.

You were throwing pebbles,
And my Daddy said:
"Stay away from Juliet!"

And I was crying
On the staircase,
Begging you:
"Please, don't go."

And I said:

"Romeo, take me somewhere
"We can be alone.
"I'll be waiting."
"All that's left to do is run."

"You'll be the prince.
"And I'll be the princess.
"It's a love story.
"Baby, just say Yes!"

So I sneak out
To the garden
To see you.

We keep quiet,
'Cause we're dead
If they knew.

Close your eyes;
Escape this town
For a little while.

You were Romeo,
And I was a scarlet letter.

My Daddy said:
"Stay away from Juliet."

But you were
Everything to me.
I was begging you:

"Please, don't go.
"Romeo save me!
"They're trying to tell me
"How to feel.

"This love is difficult,
"But it's real.
"Don't be afraid!
"We'll make it out of this mess."

I got tired of waiting,
Wondering if you
Were ever coming around.
My faith in you was fading.

Then I met you
On the outskirts of town,
And I said:

"Romeo, save me!
"I've been feeling so alone.
"I kept waiting for you.
"But you never came.

"Is this in my head?
"I don't know what to think!"

He knelt to the ground
And pulled out a ring
And said:

"Marry me, Juliet.
"You'll never have to be alone.
"I love you,
"And that's all I really know.

"I talked to your Dad.
"Go pick out a white dress.
"It's a love story.
"Baby, just say Yes!

Martha And The Vandellas - Dancing In The Streets

Calling out around the world
Are you ready for a brand new beat
Summer's here and the time is right
For dancing in the street
They're dancing in Chicago
Down in New Orleans
Up in New York City
All we need is music, sweet music
There'll be music everywhere
There'll be swinging swaying records playing
Dancing in the street

Oh it doesn't matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on every guy grab a girl
Everywhere around the world
They'll be dancing
They're dancing in the street

It's just an invitation across the nation
A chance for folks to meet
There'll be laughing, singing, music swinging
Dancing in the street

Philadelphia, PA
Baltimore and D.C. now
Can't forget the Motor City
All we need is music, sweet music
There'll be music everywhere
There'll be swinging, swaying, records playing
Dancing in the street

Oh it doesn't matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on ev'ry guy grab a girl
Ev'rywhere around the world

Dancing
They're dancing in the street
Way down in L.A.
Every day
(Dancing in the street)
Across the ocean blue, me and you
We're dancing in the street
(Dancing in the street)

But not you, of course. You volunteer for the job. If I thought that logic enforcement would put an end to medical quackery, that would be great, but logic enforcement has had little impact on the study of climate, for example. A field dominated by "scientists" who are "dedicated to truth." Steve McIntyre, a retired engineer sees some math in a seminal climate paper, it's his hobby now, he won a nationwide math prize in Canada as a high school student. He points out fundamental and glaring errors, and suddenly he's a "shill of the oil industry" demanding information "just to find something wrong with it" as one "scientist" put it.

So in a field where papers are peer reviewed by PhD scientists, logic is nevertheless steamrollered in service of a political agenda, what's your plan, Crack, to make it work everywhere?

Face it Crack, you pick and choose what you do and don’t accept from the scientific community. I have a saying that the only thing 99 percent of people can accurately and intuitively figure out is whether it’s their own ox that’s getting gored. Any question that impinges on politics will be impossible to impartially arbitrate. Climate is simply the most prominent example. If you want to know how to calculate the volume of a sphere, Wikipedia is a great place to go, but the last time I tried to Google the gel point of bio-diesel, for example, I couldn’t find the actual figure, just a lot of garbage about how gel point didn’t really matter, you could add additives, etc. It was a simple question.

In a way I sympathize with you. You should see my copy of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, the margins are all choked with comments. The guy makes the argument that rational thought is overrated and people should go with their instincts “Zen” That Western Civilization made a huge mistake when the Empiricists won out over the Sophists. Lots and lots of people believe that garbage. He couldn’t see that his example of fixing a motorcycle was hopelessly flawed. I do no such thing - you may, but I respect science. If I have a challenge to one of it's tenets, then I'll argue the facts, but I usually don't.

"I have a saying that the only thing 99 percent of people can accurately and intuitively figure out is whether it’s their own ox that’s getting gored."
