I found out today that Trump and Milo aren't responsible for the murders after all. It seems it was some guy weilding a shotgun.
Amazing. For about 24 hours I thought it was all Trump's fault for speaking out against the media (how dare he!) Or Milo's fault for a private message he wrote to a journalist saying he wished someone would kill journalists.
No worries though, it's still their fault, somehow.
You can’t take a camera in any museum, gallery, or inner temple in India that I found. Just finished 6 months there. My answer was to cup my GoPro Hero 5 session in my hand, at my side. Some of this is security. Prior to my visiting the Hanuman temple in Varanasi, a Muslim bomb had been set off by cellphone in the women and children’s area, killing 17. On that topic, in the last hotel I stayed at in Bombay a week ago, the Trident, there’s a marble memorial for the tourists who were shot there by Muslims a decade ago. Now, every time you go in the front door, any bag or jacket goes through a scanner and your cellphone goes in a box for inspection.

Before the FBI began investigating the Trump campaign in an operation code-named “Crossfire Hurricane,” there were at least seven different instances when campaign advisers were approached with Russia-related offers. Most of those contacts — including Donald Trump Jr.’s much-publicized meeting with a Russian lawyer and others in June 2016 — offered the prospect of information damaging to Donald Trump’s Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Two of these approaches were made by one U.S. government informant already publicly identified as such, Stefan Halper. Another was made by a man who swore in court that he had worked as an FBI informant. Two others were made by figures associated with Western intelligence agencies. Another two approaches included political operatives, one foreign, with ties to the Clintons. ...
... Mark Wauck, a former FBI agent with experience in such tactics, sees an effort at entrapment. “What appear to have been repeated attempts to implicate the Trump campaign, in some sort of quid pro quo arrangement with Russians who claimed to have ‘dirt’ on Hillary,” Wauck told RealClearInvestigations, “look like efforts to manufacture evidence against members of the Trump campaign or create pretexts to investigate it.” ...
The seven approaches to the Trump campaign, as far as is publicly known, generated no evidence of coordination with the Russians. ....
RealClearInvestigations pieced together the following efforts to connect the Trump campaign to Russia through published reports; court documents, including charges filed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller; interviews with former FBI agents; and congressional investigators. RCI’s investigation raises questions about events routinely described as evidence of a Trump conspiracy to collude with Russia. As former agent Wauck suggests, taken together these efforts could be interpreted not as an investigation but a sting operation intended to dirty a presidential campaign.

Then the article provides details about each of the seven approaches.
"American Gothic" by Grant Wood is included in the Chicago Institute of Art collection. I've always been intrigued by the painting. The faces, and the context are just so dour.
The two models were not man and wife. The woman was Grant Wood's spinster sister. The man was the local dentist who loved to drive around town in a red sports car.
And now, because I didn’t find India scary enough, I’m in Cape Town. Starting in a month I’ll be travelling by land to Cairo. I suspect my Althouse visits will be less frequent.
So, the thing that’s bothering me is this. I like to sleep with native women as I travel. But AIDS is a very big deal Cape to Cairo. I’ve split condoms before. Since 7 or 8 months of abstinence is unrealistic by a margin of 6 or 7 months, I’m a little lost about this.
When rhhardin would blather about scything grass, I just thought he was a double plus eccentric ham. Now we find out he's in fact a certifiable Zenmaster. It must be rh's physical manifestation of deconstruction as a catechism to Jacks Derry-Da
"I found out today that Trump and Milo aren't responsible for the murders after all. It seems it was some guy wielding a shotgun."
Sadly I believe you are in error. There are certain members of this commentariat, along with members of the major media who have laid this at the feet of President Trump. And still hold that view today.
So, let me see if I get the prog argument straight:
When foreigners invade U.S. sovereign territory, the government should not be able to separate parents from children or expel them forthwith.
When a woman becomes pregnant, the government should not be able to prevent her from separating herself from her child and expel it from her sovereign territory.
The MSM is calling him a white Hispanic. Ramos. What is a Hispanic? Does it mean someone whose DNA is Spanish, or does it mean someone whose first language is Spanish, and who moved here from south of the border? Does it have anything to do with legal or illegal? Are you more Hispanic if you crossed the border without reference to ICE?
The media doesn't seem to want to deal with his last name much. Every serial killer is now inspected for what yardage can be gained in the culture war.

I think the vase is beautiful. The glaze composition is fascinating and very difficult to accomplish.
Source: I took a lot of ceramic courses in college as a minor and seriously considered making my major art/ceramics. The glazing courses were more like chemistry than anything else. You need to know the atomic moles (a sample of a natural element with a mass equal to the element's atomic mass expressed in grams contains 1 mole of atoms) of the various chemicals/elements that will be ground/milled into the finished glaze material. The chemical reactions need to create the colors you desire. The frits that you will be using and how that affects the "flow" or liquidity of the glaze. Plus the effects of the various cones/firing temperatures on the glazes.
Get it wrong and you have something that looks like curdled milk, moldy cottage cheese, crumbled dirt, cracks too much, horrible colors like dog vomit or just flows off of the piece like molten glass and ends up messing up the kiln.
It takes many many trial runs and sample tiles/pieces before your glaze is perfect.
buwaya said... My advice is to take a native woman with you. Thats what I have done these decades now, in my sojourn in these uncivilized regions.
Yes. I did that in your neighbourhood, for a while in India, and in Central America, serendipity rather than necessity. I’ve thought I might invite someone. But it’s a big commitment, and they need to be able to drive their own 4X4 competently, since I have no desire to pillion someone on my enduro.
Many years ago, taking bids to the IBA, I would spend the hours between arrival and time to call back to the company for the numbers strolling through the Art Institute and admiring the displays. A time to relax and recover and educational too.
[[ I love the vase, the color looks to me like teal. ]] That's the problem right there. Teal. I am personally offended by the color Teal. Don't know why...I have the same visceral reaction to colors that fall right on the red/orange line. I just keep blinking: is it orange? Is it red? It's orange, right? Maybe not...What in the name of fresh, hot Krispy Kremes IS THAT?!!!
Funny. On my computer screen the vase body glaze appears to be more of a Cobalt, without the chrome that would add the green undertone for Teal. I guess it depends on the settings on your screen /shrug.
Orange was one of my mother's favorite colors. However, she was very colorblind, so who knows what it looked like in her mind's eye. Her screen settings were very different from mine.
I love the Art Institute's Impressionist collection
I pledged that if I ever made it to Chicago, I would see Seurat's "A Sunday on La Grande Jatte". I did. It is in the Helen Birch Bartlett collection along with Van Gogh, Blue period Picasso and other stunning pieces.
Apparently, me and Helen had the same taste in art.
"MILE FRY CITY: DENVER'S HOTTEST DAY!" is illustrated by a Canadian stock photo of a dog swimming.
Shotguns are "massive weapons of mass destruction" now?
A punt gun is a type of extremely large shotgun used in the 19th and early 20th centuries for shooting large numbers of reporters for revenge operations.
I'm glad Carrey can paint away his outrage in the confines of his studio. If he wasn't a celeb, a gander at his twitter feed would suggest he's about to go postal.
So I'm in a middle European nation. And everywhere I look, I see strollers and pregnant women.
What I see far less of is weirdo feminists, though there are spates of unnatural hair color in a very tiny minority of women.
What I also see less of and more of respectively is teenage obesity and feminine clothing and demeanor.
So it is amazing: if women stay attractive and open to traditional circumstances, they can have lots of babies. They seem less stressed out. Just hundreds of women walking around, pushing strollers in skirts, enjoying the sunshine and having an afternoon beer.
How horrible a life that seems to American women. No wonder they are putting off marriage.
My favorite part of the Art Institute is the Japanese wood block prints. They have a large collection so change the ones on display fairly regularly. Something new almost every time I go.
American women. No wonder they are putting off marriage.
The casting couch and Planned Parenthood are first-order forcings of progressive dysfunction and risk (to both the mother and child).
You can have your baby and life, too, shared with a man. Someone has to earn negotiable tax and social net payments, but that can change over a lifetime, circumstantially. That said, Americans are there, too. Men and women reconciling their differences and synthesizing a couple, equal in rights and complementary in Nature.
I’d be interested to hear your definition of uncivilized. My definition is any westerner in Buenos Aires. Or backpackers in Laos. And everything in between. White, uncivilized, trash everywhere out here. No wonder they hate us. You know what I mean.
Inga said... “You can have your baby and life, too, shared with a man. Indeed. Exactly what I did, four children, five grandchildren and I’m a progressive and a feminist! Go figure.

I always have to chuckle when people on the right paint this picture of women on the left not marrying and not having families. There are even some of us who marry, have families and have careers. 99% of the Democratic, liberal, progressive women I know are married and have children. I sometimes wonder if rightist commenters here actually know any people on the left.

The nature of cities, and especially this sort of city, is to cause personal reproductive failure. This plus ethnic allegiances explains nearly the entire constituency, in modern times, of the US Democratic party. Anything else is marginal.
I've been binge watching BBC Jane Austen productions. It has occurred to me that if you were going to set Pride and Prejudice in modern America, you would have to make the aristocrats highly educated persons of the professional class. Mr. Darcy would be a Harvard educated Rhodes scholar lawyer who is either a professor at an elite school or a politician who looked down on the Bennetts because they were educated at state schools and had solid middle class jobs like nursing or accounting.
Joel Davis of the International Campaign to Stop Rape and Gender Violence in Conflict has been arrested in New York on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse.
The head of a charity that campaigns against sexual violence has been arrested in New York for child pornography and allegedly trying to meet with children as young as two for sex.
Joel Davis, 22, is accused of trying to set up sexual encounters between himself and young children, as well as soliciting an undercover FBI agent to send sexually explicit videos of minors.
The New Yorker was arrested on Tuesday on child sex abuse and child pornography charges.
Davis allegedly told the agents that he was sexually interested in children of all ages. He is accused of sending the agents sexually explicit photographs of infants and toddlers, including some of the children engaged in sex acts with adults.
The 22-year-old allegedly arranged to meet the nine-year-old daughter of one of the undercover agents and with the purported two-year-old daughter of the officer's girlfriend.
He allegedly went into detail in the text messages about what sexual activities he intended to engage in with the children."

Disproportionately Chicano-Hispanic, far beyond overall population proportions. Ethnic distribution of K-12 enrollment shows that (2017-18) Hispanic - 54% White - 23% Asian - 9% Black - 5.5%
WI votes Republican these days, no? Or its trending there. Utah on the other hand - 29.9% Texas - 26%

So? Is there something wrong with that? Should Hispanic people stop having children?
"Stunningly, the postponement of marriage and parenting — the factors that shrink the birth rate — is the very best predictor of a person’s politics in the United States, over even income and education levels, a Belgian demographer named Ron Lesthaeghe has discovered. Larger family size in America correlates to early marriage and childbirth, lower women’s employment, and opposition to gay rights — all social factors that lead voters to see red. The converse, according to futurist Joel Kotkin, marks “the rise of post-familialism,” overturning the notion that a woman’s life requires a wedding dress and at least two kids to dutifully rear. David Brooks devoted a column to this report Friday, and his reaction demonstrates the red blood spilling over our shift to a freer attitude toward life and family choices. “People are not better off when they are given maximum personal freedom to do what they want,” Brooks wrote. “They’re better off when they are enshrouded in commitments that transcend personal choice — commitments to family, God, craft and country.”
The distinctive feature of communism is the theory of a "dictatorship of the proletariat" based on armed force ("Power comes out the muzzle of a gun") to shorten the developmental period between the present and socialist heaven.
Communist regimes also distinguish themselves by killing more of their own people than foreign enemies.
But there aren't "all those kids". There are in fact remarkably few kids in Madison WI, many fewer that one should expect from such a wealthy, healthy community.
Buwaya, you really don’t know Madison and it’s surrounding towns, they’ve been listed as “the best place to live” in America many times over the years. You’d be lucky to live there, but it would be wasted on you.
BTW Buwaya, how many children do you have? Have you done your duty toward reversing the declining birth rate?
"they’ve been listed as “the best place to live” in America many times over the years."
Yes, nice to live in. Like San Francisco, a supremely comfortable, lovely and stimulating environment, a Rivendell or Lorien out of Tolkien. And yet, like Rivendell and Lorien, they do not breed. The "best" according to criteria that is, perhaps, not entirely relevant to existence.
Trigger warning: It is the intelligent parents that produce intelligent kids with superior attitudes to learning new things. And then along comes the affirmative action mass marxist insanity.
they’ve been listed as “the best place to live” in America many times over the years
Perhaps they have been "listed" as the best. The question is by whose criteria? I don't doubt that people enjoy living in some of those places. Good for you. Good for them. Stay there and enjoy.
However, to claim THE Best is a bit misleading and self congratulatory. Pride fall et al.
Having looked at the qualities that those magazines or other entities use to determine Best, I find that many of those items are negatives in my book. What they boast of as being Best or good are not necessarily what I find attractive in the least. Number one unattractive feature would be the presence of a large University.
IN fact, they are places that I would avoid at all costs.
BEST PLACE is pretty damned subjective. I certain don't expect anyone from Madison to say that where I live is THE Best, even though in my eyes it is.
Basically saying voted best place to live.....means doo squat. Be happy that you think your place is best. Don't assume that other people would think the same.
“I have added three children to your nation, for the glory of your race and the service of your state (ref. the Draka novels, S.M.Stirling).
Thank me.”
Well I have you beat at four and now have five grandchildren and I’m a liberal! So if you were so worried about the declining birth rate why don’t you have twice the number of children you do? You didn’t put your sperm where your mouth is...well that didn’t come out quite right, but you know what I mean.
Its interesting that Tolkien, a conservatives conservative, always pointed out the failure to reproduce as a critical marker of decadence. The sprawling world he made had a long history, with several imperial races rising, declining and falling.
All of them "dwindled", a failure of fertility - the Elves, the Dwarves, the Numenoreans, Arnoreans, Gondoreans, etc.
Its quite a trend. Read the appendices to the "Lord of the Rings" and of course the "Silmarillion".
His romantic heroes and heroines, when they aren't tragic, are founders of family lines - Beren and Luthien, etc.
“I sometimes wonder if rightist commenters here actually know any people on the left.”

Ramos sued the publication in 2012 for defamation, but the judge tossed the case in 2015.

If Middle-Earth had real-estate agents (and if they had leave from that very exclusive homeowners association) they could do a lot with that. The Middle Earth journals would doubtless rate them the TOP TWO! TOP THREE! places to live.
But still, but still ...
The Elves leave, in a tragic migration to the Grey Havens and on out of Middle Earth.
the failure to reproduce as a critical marker of decadence
Secular excess that progresses and deprecates both moral temperance (e.g. self-moderation, personal responsibility, mutual reconciliation) and Nature's fitness function.
There is fertility rate roundup of counties (and that is the better way of it), to model fertility as a political predictor, for the 2016 election. That I can find anyway. I will have to pull that myself if I can work up the interest.
This is one of those "culture is upstream of politics" things, at the most fundamental.
Sometimes I like looking at stuff like this in museums if they're historical artifacts. It's kind of interesting to think about humans in China in 1000 B.C. using clay pots the same way we might.
On the other hand, if you stuck that thing in a Pottery Barn with a $23.99 price tag on it, I wouldn't blink.

That's the real Inga. The one outraged by the existence of a place where non-leftists aren't piled on and so tries to ruin that forum. The one who hates the right because they mean to create the Handmaid's Tale here in America. The one who accidentally let that out a little to clearly in her first tenure and so exiled herself for a few years to remake her persona.
I’m always the real Inga. When I deal with you and your repetitive passive agressive meowings, you’ll see this side of me more often. We all aren’t one dimensional bores like you.
Civilty bullshit, especially when it comes to you.
Do you tell your supposed conservative friends you think they support creating The Handmaid's Tale? Do they know you claim all Republicans believe as Todd Akin does they just won't admit it? How would they feel listening to that and then listening to your whining that cons unfairly malign moderate Libs with the actions of extremists.
We know who are you because you let it slip. Pretending to be something else is hard and you don't have the mental discipline to pull it off.
"Do you tell your supposed conservative friends you think they support creating The Handmaid's Tale? Do they know you claim all Republicans believe as Todd Akin does they just won't admit it? "
How else can she get Republican plumbers to fuck her?
“Like Rick said, there is only one side to you. And it's vile and hateful.”
I’ll endeavor to be more like you Exiled, because we can all see that you are always a ray of sunshine, lol. Now I must run along for a good old Wisconsin fish fry. Too much fried food but the company is good.
Inga can bleat all she wishes to about her kids. The point of the topic is that fertility is a CHOICE, and since the advent of the pill and legal abortion, it has been solely a WOMAN'S CHOICE.
Inga decided to have some sense of immortality and actually procreated with some poor fellow(s), which just goes to prove that there is someone for everyone.
As I read things besides the Handmaid's Tale, which is a ridiculous concept on so many levels I can't begin to describe them all, I also read about key terms in niche papers like the NYT and WaPo about such things as 'Man Drought' and 'Freezing Eggs to prolong Fertility' (who is a cruel bitch)
These wonderful, no doubt charming and whol….whoris...professional American women, hitting 35 and single, are making a specific CHOICE which oddly enough precludes early kids (when one doesn't count Patriarchally oppressed Hispanic women).
In undisclosed Middle European country, seems a lot of women are making different choices.
Granted, part of it might have something to do with the heavy urbanization of Europe vs the Strange Fertility Rituals by American women which require a house in the suburbs and a riding mower before she ovulates, so I am open to discussion (except with Inga)
This is just what Seligman used to do, examine politico-economic questions with statistics.
Daniel Seligman, editor of Fortune, passed away nine years ago. One of the greats of journalism, an unusual case of a man with an analytical mind in that profession.
That is sure what it is beginning to look like. They did a pretty crappy job of covering their tracks, but it was a rush job. How far up the chain this went, and any likelihood it can be proven are the remaining pertinent questions.
(Don't let Inger know she's in my killfile. She'll threaten to call the cops on me for something. Being conservative, for example, or having her in my killfile. "He has this thing called a KILLFILE! And I'm in it! I'm sure it has the thing that goes up! I know sick minds like his! I won't be able to get to sleep at night! I'll bet he bought it through a gun-show loophole! etc.")
Buwaya A Thanks for the Unamuno reference. I just found him in my stupidly cluttered library. It probably has my marginalia from half a century ago. Will be fun to see what I thought then through the lens of these decades.
I recommend you have a look a How to Change Your Mind, the recent Pollak book on psychedelics and the history of research into the category, its abrupt end and its recent resurrection. A lot of Bay Area engineers whose names you will recognize.
Overall former communist countries have the lowest birth rates (like Russia), then socialist countries (like Germany with East Germany or France), then Muslim and Catholic (in South America), then African. https://brilliantmaps.com/fertility-rates/
But there are pockets of difference. The US has a close to replacement-level birth rate due to the Hispanic presence. The farther a Muslim country is from Mecca the lower the birth rate. Israel has a decent birth rate due to the number of orthodox children. The Polish birthrate is a composite of low birth rate socialists and high birth rate Catholics. The Africans have a high birth rate but also a high death rate in children under five. I would not be surprised if the North Korean birth rate was the lowest in the world - even below Singapore and China.
The point about birthrate is your society gets wiped out if its birthrate drops below replacement level. That's just math. But what are the social reasons for the die-off now going on? That's hard. But I think that some social systems - socialism is one - are toxic for families. Regardless of individual exceptions such as Inga seems to be.
A fake news story, uh, uh, you know, if you’re not familiar with a fake news story, it sets out a spray of lies and because a truth simply goes in a straight line and fake news story is sort of like a backwards funnel, it spreads it out so that you don’t have to aim very precisely.
Yes the premise of the handmaids tale, is not an electoral victory but a coup d'tat disguised as a terrorist attack, the purge follows similar paranoia but through elections.
Yes I remember Martin's columns in fortune magazine, the last time that publication had anything sensible to say
"Federal authorities have located and arrested a California man suspected of threatening to kill FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s children. He faces a maximum of 10 years in the federal slammer.
He “is charged with a threatening to murder a member of the immediate family of a U.S. official with the intent to intimidate or interfere with such official while engaged in the performance of official duties, or with the intent to retaliate against such official on account of the performance of official duties,” says the Department of Justice.
According to a Department of Justice press release, the man was upset about the repeal of net neutrality and was trying to frighten Pai in retaliation."
The episode where the takeover was relayed in flashback was right before the white house correspondent dinner, where Michelle wolf behaved like an eel.

@Char Char: Are you talking about Maria Hinojosa from CNN?
I knew her back in her Hyde Park/UC days in the 80s. When Grenada was in the news, she insisted on calling it Gren-ah-da, even though the English-speaking locals said Gren-ay-da. I pointed out her colonialist attitude toward Afro-Caribbean culture.
Her brother Raul gets some CNN time and he's basically a communist. The folks are quite nice, though.

Not a fan of the vase or the color.
The Chicago Institute of Art likes to mix up things in its galleries. I agree, the vase is outclassed by the paintings.
Not a bad first effort for someone in a beginners pottery class.

Very smart to go there instead of the usual gop stop in Billings.

The Real Clear Investigations website recently published an article titled Seven Mysterious Preludes to the FBI's Trump-Russia Probe, written by Lee Smith.
The article includes the following passages.
[quote]

Sadly I believe you are in error. There are certain members of this commentariat, along with members of the major media who have laid this at the feet of President Trump. And still hold that view today.
The gunman took Maxine Waters too literally.
But this is common in a country with massive weapons of mass destruction in the hands of peasants.

The solution is in the palm of your hand.

Thats what I have done these decades now, in my sojourn in these uncivilized regions.
I have a tie that color. It’s called Teal.
I loved the glaze portions of the courses.

Yes. I did that in your neighbourhood, for a while in India, and in Central America, serendipity rather than necessity. I’ve thought I might invite someone. But it’s a big commitment, and they need to be able to drive their own 4X4 competently, since I have no desire to pillion someone on my enduro.
Do the art pieces look so bad because of the beet soup color on the walls?
Link about glaze making, formulas, composition and shows how complex thoughts that created the "simple" glaze on your art pottery actually is.
Chicklit (and probably not anyone else other than I) will like this :-D
“I think the vase is beautiful. The glaze composition is fascinating and very difficult to accomplish.”
Very true! Looking closer, the shades of teal, blues and greens are visible in the glaze, just gorgeous.
Many years ago, taking bids to the IBA, I would spend the hours between arrival and time to call back to the company for the numbers strolling through the Art Institute and admiring the displays. A time to relax and recover and educational too.
Again with the beets already yet!
[[ I love the vase, the color looks to me like teal. ]]
That's the problem right there.
“I am personally offended by the color Teal.”
Teal is like a lake in Wisconsin in early summer, cool, yet when you take two steps to the left you feel the warmth.
I love red, except for burgundy. Orange, meh, only shades with a pinkish hue, like peach.
Etienne: The gunman took Maxine Waters too literally.

Shotguns are "massive weapons of mass destruction" now?
Shotguns are "massive weapons of mass destruction" now?
Geese probably think so.

I was blown away at the number of strollers I saw here. They are just everywhere.

Thanks. And there are a lot more like me out there, I’m certainly not a rarity.

So? Is there something wrong with that? Should Hispanic people stop having children?
Ah, here's one, from 2012, but its really perennial.
First I saw of this was decades ago, I think in Seligmans old "Fortune" column.
Tell Me a State’s Fertility Rate, and I’ll Tell You How It Voted
That was one of Brooks moments of lucidity.
"So? Is there something wrong with that? Should Hispanic people stop having children? "
No, but it skews the model (conservatism=fertility) because of the ethnic factors of political alignment.
“Old people don’t have kids? I thought you had four of them.”
So, no old people on your block have children?
The distinctive feature of communism is the theory of a "dictatorship of the proletariat" based on armed force ("Power comes out the muzzle of a gun") to shorten the developmental period between the present and socialist heaven.
Communist regimes also distinguish themselves by killing more of their own people than foreign enemies.

Yeah all those kids in Madison are the offspring of conservatives only, lol.
But there aren't "all those kids".
There are in fact remarkably few kids in Madison WI, many fewer that one should expect from such a wealthy, healthy community.
As in most such cases, there is a sickness there.

I have added three children to your nation, for the glory of your race and the service of your state (ref. the Draka novels, S.M.Stirling).
Thank me.
That was one of Brooks moments of lucidity.
Buwaya, are you sure it was that David Brooks? ;-)

Well I have you beat at four and now have five grandchildren and I’m a liberal! So if you were so worried about the declining birth rate why don’t you have twice the number of children you do? You didn’t put your sperm where your mouth is...well that didn’t come out quite right, but you know what I mean.
Here’s a huge listing of publications and organizations that have listed Madison as one of top ranked cities in the US in many different categories.
Althouse wouldn’t still be living there if it wasn’t a great place. I suspect she’ll never leave.

Public culling (PC) for social progress and minority regimes.
Yeah, I lived in DC and Shorewood for years. I've never met any leftists.

So all the children in Madison are shipped in for pictures. You people are a trip, lol.
the failure to reproduce as a critical marker of decadence
Secular excess that progresses and deprecates both moral temperance (e.g. self-moderation, personal responsibility, mutual reconciliation) and Nature's fitness function.
“Yeah, I lived in DC and Shorewood for years. I've never met any leftists.”
I bet after five minutes of talking to you they decided to put as much space as they could between you and them. So how many kids have you got?
There is fertility rate roundup of counties (and that is the better way of it), to model fertility as a political predictor, for the 2016 election. That I can find anyway. I will have to pull that myself if I can work up the interest.
This is one of those "culture is upstream of politics" things, at the most fundamental.
Sometimes I like looking at stuff like this in museums if they're historical artifacts. It's kind of interesting to think about humans in China in 1000 B.C. using clay pots the same way we might.

Given your limited abilities I agree juvenile insults is your best response.
"The Handmaid's Tale" - the only book Inga ever read that wasn't a nursing textbook.
Shrug.
OK, just another expression of Excel-geek
Not county fertility data, but State is readily available, for 2016.
I correlated fertility by state with the Presidential election (Trump win=1, else 0)
I got a correlation vs fertility of .52, which is pretty darn good. Fertility was a powerful predictor of political alignment in 2016.
You do not have to be a Phd statistician to do this.
Nor to argue with it.
Igna had an ARM-like vulgar meltdown, I see. Here's to many more over the next six years!
So to a correlation of .52 at least, Republicanism = life
Conservatism = life.
Its science.

@wild
Really good art museum in great falls. Some Indian guy (feather). Can't recall his name, or type well on iPad on plane. Good. Farmers market too.
Inga diminishes this blog as much as Ritmo does and she seems to have taken over the nasty obscene rhetoric.
Oh well. There are some interesting commenters here. I would block them if I could but could not figure out how to make a killfile on Chrome.
Michael K:
Killfile for Chrome does not work on the:

page. only on the "main" page, that displays comments all pretty-like.
I'll bet he bought it through a gun-show loophole! etc.")

A Thanks for the Unamuno reference.
So..Mad Max cancelled her Alabama and Texas gigs supposedly due to threats.
Why the hell would she go there to begin with?
Falls has the CM Russell museum. Prolly won't have time for that.
I hope it's not too hot. The spouse hates Trump so an old band mate said he'd go with.
With any luck the gop here will get up a party bus.
A fake news story, uh, uh, you know, if you’re not familiar with a fake news story, it sets out a spray of lies and because a truth simply goes in a straight line and fake news story is sort of like a backwards funnel, it spreads it out so that you don’t have to aim very precisely.

Gowdy - the left's new best friend.
Yes the premise of the handmaids tale, is not an electoral victory but a coup d'tat disguised as a terrorist attack, the purge follows similar paranoia but through elections.
Yes I remember Martin's columns in fortune magazine, the last time that publication had anything sensible to say
Prog doing the prog thing:
The left's obsession with the paranoid fantasy that is the handmaids tale is hilarious and pathetic. and predictable.
Etienne: The gunman took Maxine Waters too literally.
Indeed.
The episode where the takeover was relayed in flashback was right before the white house correspondent dinner, where Michelle wolf behaved like an eel.
"The MSM is calling him a white Hispanic"
Really? NPR simply called him white, even though his father looks as white as Barack Obama. And they, or at some of them, called him "Ray-mos", with no hint of a trill. Yes, those people who have no trouble saying "Maria Hinojosa", somehow stumble on "Ramos".
A travesty of a sham:

Peak rage on August 28th people.
The left is not done yet.
It is amazing how far they are letting the mask slip.
Inga is going to "leave" again soon.
Changing names on blogger is tough.
Wow. Embarrassingly stupid.
Andrea Mitchell is just dumb.
@PeteWilliamsNBC on the weapon used in the newsroom shooting: a shotgun is like a backwards funnel, you don’t have to have direct aim to hurt a lot of people. It was purchased legally. #AMR
Ritual seppuku is the only way she can save her family's honor.
Andrea only uses sawed off shotguns.
She's really short, you know.
Like old Uncle Mort?
Andrea's elderly hubby was on Fox Business News yesterday. I was a little uneasy listening to him trying to form a coherent sentence on the economy but, bless his heart, he tried.
He's 92!
He's 92!
He gave us 18 great years and didn't become stupid until he married her. Just like Jane Fonda ruined Ted Turner.

"The solution is in the palm of your hand."
Where have you gone, Dr. Joycelyn Elders?
Cllick on the headline of the post and your killfile will work with Chrome. I just skip their posts, 90% of the time, and Ritmo, 99%
