Come on Leftists, now is your time to discuss 4.5% Q2 GDP growth.

Tell us all why that is not so great. Or perhaps Obama's economy.

I am losing faith in your collective ability to spin.

Looks like the Washington Capitals are going to win the Stanley Cup and their best player is Russian. Mueller is no doubt looking into this now. Trump won’t be able to invite the Capitals to the White House so as to avoid Sideshow Bob hauling the team before a grand jury.

I keep reading articles about the plunging birth rates in Western Europe...and the authors never take that last step in the logical process.

To wit: it is all the fault of women.

Women have 'owned' their fertility for decades and have willfully stopped their fertility and aborted any accidents in such staggering numbers that if it happened to any other minority population, it would be called genocide.

But no one wants to talk about the unfortunate fact that women, when given their freedom by a trick of technology, don't seem to want to be...I won't say mothers. But certainly pregnant. A pregnant woman has transitioned from maiden to mother...and they all realize the incredible privilege and power of 'maiden' that even mothers try to imitate or claim it.

So I am tired of hearing about birth rates. If you don't like it, talk to women. Men are barely a factor in that conversation.

I meant the West and not just Europe. Europe is panicking. I saw an ad trying to get grandma to pay for 'sex vacations' for their offspring.

Funny? Sort of. All humor has a hard kernel of truth.

Pre-Dossier Carter Page: Russian Spy ... or FBI Honor Scout?

"...Far from being a Russian spy, Page was characterized to the [NYC Federal] court as someone who helped the FBI catch Russian spies.

But the government’s attitude toward Page turned cold after Trump publicly announced his name along with other members of his foreign policy team. Only then was Page treated as a possible national security threat. Not long after Trump’s March 21, 2016, announcement, FBI Director James Comey and his deputy, Andrew McCabe, held a meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch to discuss the news of Page joining the Trump campaign and how he may be “compromised” by the Russians, according to a recently declassified memo.

Then, sometime in the “late spring” of 2016, Comey held an unusual briefing concerning Page, and the alleged risk he posed, with the Obama administration’s highest-ranking national-security officials, who, in addition to Lynch, included National Security Adviser Susan Rice, CIA Director John Brennan, and National Intelligence Director James Clapper.

Comment by Eric377:

I am having increasingly ugly thoughts about this situation. Consider that Strzok knew that Page was a cooperative guy. Strzok knew means Comey knew. Just how cooperative was he? Was Page Strzok's guy here? Comey calmly tells the intel groups that Page needs watching, so we had better watch. Throw Halper at him because not everyone in the FBI is really clued-in maybe. Hit him with a FISA warrant but despite multiple renewals, he seems not in any legal jeopardy.

...FBI and DOJ need to come clean soon because the country is getting exceptionally divided over this stuff. And if it damages relations with UK intelligence to tell us the truth, so be it.

To wit: it is all the fault of women.

I lay the blame on the birth control pill. Not only because of its effect on population, but I suspect it's having severe environmental effects also.

Future generations are going to condemn us.

bagoh20 said...

I blame also the evolution of divorce and custody law that has incentivised women to leave their men taking the children and money with them. If you can have his children and his money, while you screw and drain other men, why work at marriage. This has made many of us men avoid marriage and having children. It's not what I would have prefered, but with that outcome so likely, marriage and children is not the promise it once was.

wildswan said...

The pill is an invention, a technology, which affects the family, the basic social unit of every society. Although the basic family structure differs in different societies the effect of the pill is always the same - it destroys that basic family structure. In so doing, it destroys the society. Another society must form, at once. This is a little studied phenomenon. Generally the new society has a birth rate below replacement level. This the phase we are now in - more than half the nations in the world have a birth-rate below replacement level. As Darwin pointed out such societies will die out. In our case, the birth rates will not support the welfare state and societies will collapse starting very soon. Social security in 2034 will go bankrupt because of the birth rate in 1980 - worldwide. People didn't know what they were doing. Crazed leaders, feeling the pressure but unable to challenge the dominion of the pill, will talk of bringing in illiterate migrants to run a literate culture. (Those migrants are coming from societies also collapsing from family collapse.) The solution is to have children which requires men and women to learn to live and work together. So just look for someone like yourself and settle down to work and raise a family. It all works if you just don't go progressive - and you have to stay off the pill. You have to think how to do that, make that work. Otherwise you import the germ that's killing off all societies into your own attempt to build the basic element of a new society which is some form of the family.

Midnight brings another talk from Mz. Mainstream Thought.

The dependency ratio is what is driving western birth rates to zero. That ratio has been pretty steady for a while, but it is increasingly unbalanced toward the elderly.

Inga...Allie Oop said...

Well Yancy, I sure hope you did your duty and enthusiastically procreated. I did four times. I suggest men stop blaming women for being a bit hesitant to pop out one baby after another for men who blame women for their own shortcomings.

Pre-Dossier Carter Page: Russian Spy ... or FBI Honor Scout?

The infamous GOP memo, generated by staffers of House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes, R-Calif., confirms that the FBI sought authorization under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to intercept Page’s communications. The FBI submitted the FISA application in October 2016, after Page had left the Trump campaign, by establishing probable cause to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that Page was acting as an “agent” of Russia. The Nunes memo also reports that FISA surveillance of Page was subsequently renewed three times.

So the answer is that the three FISA surveillances were first authorized by the FISC and then verified by the GOP members of the House Intelligence Committee who looked into the results and found Papadopoulos was first found to be taking to the Ruskies- but nut-case Page was caught talking face-to-face with the enemy in Moscow.

FIDO said...

Let's not pretend that the illegal surveillance of Conservatives is anything new.

IIRC , some operatives illegally recorded and leaked Gingrich's cell conversations back in the 90's when Gingrich was Trump.

And odd enough, a Clinton was in power. The Clintons of the FBI Files.

The Clintons of Ruby Ridge, Waco and Elian Gonzalez.

They had 8 years to put their sycophants in office and 20 years later, we get Lois Lerner, McCabe, Brennan, and legions of anonymous leakers.

And the media ignores this, though it could be a Pulitzer winning story.

Sad.

rehajm said...

By the way CNBC personality/leftie shill Andrew Ross Sorkin promised on live TV to ‘literally eat crow’ if Trump achieved 3% annual GDP growth at any time during his tenure.

FIDO said...

Inga, you harridans rallied to own fertility.

Never mind. I was going to appeal to a sense of honor and honesty, an appeal to stopping hypocrisy...but I forgot whom I was talking to.

Women own their fertility. Have for decades and on the whole (but PARTICULARLY in Progressive women), most women who own their fertility either say no, defer till it's too late, or have a boutique baby as a social pet...but no more. That MBA won't pay for itself!

So if any honest woman wants to address the declining birth rate, they need to start (and stop) the conversation with other women.

Marriage is a different story, though related. All women need to do to be married is be appealing and not make marriage punitive for men. I have far less faith in that though.

Humperdink said...

Funny to be talking about fertility as last night I was discussing the same thing with my Amish friend Mose. He's been married 7 years with three kids. I asked how many he and his wife were going to have. His response? It's not up to him and his wife. They will have as many kids as God wants.

The local record is fifteen kids.

you're a progressive, so you can't do math. This fertility that you're Boasting of, as being SO MUCH HIGHER THAN EVERYBODY ELSE is barely breakeven . Each of those 5 grandchildren have 4 grandparents. So, at BEST you're up one. But those daughters are back to 2.5, and (apparently, your boy fields did not produce.

Your birthrate is nothing to laugh about, even though it's HUGE compared to your prog neighbors

Yesterday on CNN, they were replaying the clip where Giuliani was saying: look at Trump's three wives. Beautiful, classy women. What would he want with Stormy Daniels? They were playing it over and over again. Then, the panelists were saying: give me a break! All his life Trump surrounds himself with women who take their clothes off. He owns Miss America, he dates models. We all know what kind of guy he is.

Trump gets the people who hate him the most to say the greatest things about him. He's hacked the world. This morning, though, there is a sign that some folks are finally catching on. They're talking about the G7. Some panelist says: he is upending the post WWII global order. Our allies are all angry with him. What kind of president does that?
She's scared. Instead of saying what a crazed madman he is, Chris Ciliza says: well, if you listen to his inauguration speech, this is exactly what he said he would do. He's not just undedicated to that world order, he ran on upending it. Then some journalist says: I think we should take his quote about the summit at face value. That quote about: this summit is not about preparation, it's about attitude. Now Chris Ciliza is saying: yes, that's true, and in fact that just might be the case when it comes to these kinds of meetings. Sure there's a lot of prep necessary, but isn't it really about attitude? Then a dour woman says: we know how he thinks. It's black and white. Trump will walk in and say, Mr. Kim, are you going to denuclearize or not? There's no subtlety or nuance in his approach. That's true, ma'am, but subtlety and nuance don't necessarily belong in a man's game like this. Anyway, there is subtlety and nuance, just like there is subtlety and nuance in MMA fights: you just have to know what to look for.

They finally understand the president. At least when it comes to world events like the Korea summit. They still don't understand that spending an hour talking about how Trump has always been surrounded by beautiful women who take their clothes off is probably not a good idea if you want to RESIST TRUMP. But at least the news no longer has me feeling sad for all the talking heads. Last night was funny. This morning was encouraging, but boring.

There is one upside to having 15 children - the older ones help out caring for the younger ones. The downside is remembering all their names.

-- That's what you do with deal breakers. Like, if you're dating someone and absolutely will not date someone who isn't your religion, it is only honest to up front ask, "are you X" or if you're hiring someone, but they need Y skill, you ask, "Can you code in Y?"

Being raised around progressive women is enough to put anyone off the idea of breeding.

Does anyone else remember that horrible woman who wrote an article accusing her sons of being proto-rapists?

It would drive any man to be gay, celibate, a rake or a MGTOW.

Royal ass Inga @ 8:36AM misses the point.

Trump has cured unemployment. Name one thing Obama cured beyond excellent ironing (David Brooks) or leg tingles (Chris Matthews)?

FIDO said...

Inga,

Assertions without any underlying facts.

I read article after article about 30-40 year old women DESPERATELY looking for men. Women who put their careers first. Who now are freezing their eggs to have a chance at a child...on their terms. ONLY their terms.

And then there are the slews of female articles about how they are JUST FINE DAMMIT at being single.

Abortion rates are highest in Blue States. D.C. New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, California, Connecticut and Nevada. This is the RATE of abortions.

So your side would have to be spitting out babies at twice the normal rate just to make up for all the abortions.

So I don't believe you.

A woman who wants a baby will do ANYTHING to get a baby. She will pray till her knees are bloody. She will fish condoms out of the trash and freeze the sperm. She will cheat. She will poke holes in condoms. She will freeze her eggs for TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars. She will, when deathly afraid of needles, get injected NUMEROUS times to get those fertility drugs to work.

She can even, if she desires, go dark and find Mr. Right Now and have a baby out of wedlock, a very popular method among the inner parts of Democratic strongholds.

So if women WANT babies, they can have them.

The problem is they don't want them...but instead of acknowledging this, you prefer to blame the men for not being a Non Sadistic Version of Christian Grey. Well, maybe a LITTLE sadistic.

Granted, I will concede you some smidgeon of truth. A lot of men today, product of divorced homes (70% started by women) are FAR more wary of marriage and it's legal pitfalls than ever before. And with young girls giving it away, why should they?
f

FIDO said...

See, this is a talent that grown ups have. They can concede points. Maybe one day you will learn that ability, but you don't have a lot of years left to do so...

FIDO said...

Oops. Point not mentioned: Most of these career driven women are Democrats and progressives...who aren't having babies. So no I don't believe Progressives are marrying as often, nor having babies as much as Independents and Republicans are.

Republicans DO have higher rates of divorce because so many Democrats don't marry...

And damn I wish this site had an edit function.
