The Korean peninsula discussion is just one aspect of many that are in play as we speak and ALL the substantive discussions for that aspect are happening between US and China negotiators. The NK/SK can have as many photo ops as they'd like. In the end, NK will do what Xi dictates...which will depend on the outcome of the US/China talks.

Hitler’s party was elected, it formed a legitimately democratic coalition government with a condition of that coalition being Hitler’s appointment to the chancellery… Which was just the German title (although much weaker position) of Prime Minister. So yes, Hitler was elected via his role as party leader within a democratic institution.
