Hillary Clinton does not want to be CEO of Facebook.

I know I'm partly to blame for linking to a headline that's in this form because it's clickbait, but I've got to complain about "Hillary Clinton Wants to Be CEO of Facebook." It's getting attention, perhaps as a set-up for jokes about her wretched like-with-a-cloth relationship with technology.

But Hillary was doing a "lightning round" interview in which the question was sprung on her, "If you could be a CEO of any company right now, what would you choose?"

She had to say something fast, and she blurted out what is the name of the most conspicuous company, Facebook. That doesn't mean she wants to run the company. It just means she thought of an answer to the question and she had some ideas about how to use the question to get to some things she had ideas about, which is what she did.
The former secretary of state explained that Facebook “is the biggest news platform in the world.” “Most people in our country get their news, true or not, from Facebook,” she said. “It really is critical to our democracy that people get accurate information on which to make decisions.”
Some people think it was outrageous for Donald Trump to apply for the job of President when he had no experience in political office, and maybe it was, because the application worked and now we've got him running the country, whether he knows what he's doing or not. But here comes Hillary purporting to offer to run a company when she has no experience or expertise in the area. She openly states that she wants it because it's where the power is.

Except she doesn't really want it, not the actual responsibility of running Facebook.

And how ridiculous to think that Facebook could solve its problems of how to function in a democracy by installing as its leader a person completely identified with one political party!

At this point, what difference does it make?

Hillary can't go away, it would seem. Her latest public garments seem to be concealing an exo-skeleton.

you mean someone like Jeff Bezos? or someone like Bill Gates?
or maybe you mean someone like Mark Zuckerberg?

When one considers the appalling degree of censorship and de-platforming carried out by the management of Facebook against their perceived enemies, i.e. conservatives and anyone who opposes Zuckerberg's malfeasance, a more accurate description of Facebook would be "the biggest propaganda machine since the fall of the Soviet Union." And as such is a natural draw for a mountebank like Hillary Clinton.

@Quaestor - Perhaps Zuckerberg is simply a 21st-Century Bolshevik, and there is worse yet to come.

I still can’t hardly believe that people get news from Facebook. And the news is links to the MSM. Facebook is like Drudge in that respect.

Why isn't she in jail yet?

Facebook has news? No, it has a highly manipulated "news feed."

This is why I say she has brass balls. This is why she deleted 30,000 emails, why, while she was SoS, there was no IG at the Department of State.

And she blatantly sold her office--and gets away with it.

That’s right up there with her comment in New Zealand that she “kinda had an affection for evidence.” She loved one bit of evidence so much that she kept it hidden in a closet.

In January 1996, a long sought-after copy of billing records from the Rose Law Finn were identified and turned over to prosecutors by Carolyn Huber, a White House assistant to Hillary Rodham Clinton. Ms. Huber, herself a former Rose Law Firm employee, recognized the records and realized that they had been among papers that she had removed six months earlier from the First Lady's book room on the third floor of the White House.

The mysterious appearance of the billing records, which had been the specific subject of various investigative subpoenas for two years, sparked intense interest about how they surfaced and where they had been. Shortly after the discovery of the records, Hillary Clinton made history -- she became the only First Lady ever called to testify before a Grand Jury inquiry.

Yeah, that’s right. PBS used to do great non-partisan investigation before they were wrestled over to the dark side.

More shoddy journalism - she was answering a hypothetical.

Having said that, she still sucks for many other different reasons.

Shhhh. The mainstream media might notice.

I think Hillary and her crazy cat-women acolytes should continue talking about the 2016 Presidential election. I really do. There are plenty of areas that haven't been properly explored, vetted, discussed, debated. You go girl!

You know how to tell if the Hildabeast wants Zuckerberg's job? When he's Seth Riched.

Facebook wouldn't want her because she identifies with one political party. Seriously? Not because she's A. incompetent, B. lazy, C. only borderline functional, or D. (what the hell) not too bright in the first place.

If she didn't marry Bill Clinton no one would have ever heard of this woman. And the world, including her, would be better off.

I want both Hillary and Bernie to run again in 2020. But I want Bernie to issue an ultimatum to the DNC - if you screw me over one more time, I'm running as an independent.

That would be nice.

RMc said...

Based on what my newsfeed has looked like since late 2015, Facebook is already a wholly-owned subsidiary of the DNC.

That is, by far, the LEAST of the Hildebeeste's problems.

The saddest fact of modern American life is that a grifter and criminal like Hillary is admired by millions and but for her own laziness and stupidity she would be President today.

Yeah, Donald Trump doesn't know what he's doing. Better we should have a professional politician like another filthy Clinton, stupid Bush, or scumbag Obama. Or maybe a turd like Rubio, a shit like Kasich, a dump like Biden, or a waste product like Bernie. Cripes, is it any wonder why this country is in such a perilous situation? God bless Donald Trump!

Oh you might have a keep-quiet straggler or two here and there, who if assembled could fit into a single 1960s phone booth (do phone booths exists anymore?), but apart from those few the entire workforce at Facebook vote for one political party.

Hillary should be Grand Wizard of the Church of Obscurantism. She leads the movement already, why not formalize it by founding a church?

Hillary should start with a job in the prison laundry. She could eventually make her way up to the library cart.

Do people really get their news from Facebook? I’m not so sure.

I think she should be CEO of six feet under.

tim in vermont said...

Darrell is literally correct if course, I was just going for figurative language, and now I see that direct expression is best in the case of her no joking matter criminality.

Worth a big hearty repeat.

Hillary tricked the entire leftwing collective hive mind (not hard to do) to buy into "Citizens United" being about large corporations. Citizens United is about citizens uniting to criticize Hillary. She would make that illegal. Facebook will help.

If Trump said this it'd be a lie.

Notice when Hillary thought aspirationally of Facebook, it was about control over the "news" it disseminates, rather than the protection of user's data, which is in fact the commodity at the heart of the Facebook business model.

@Maybee, that was my response too. Very few people under 40 still use Facebook. Maybe out-of-touch middle-aged and old people who repost Minion memes are Hillary’s natural base?

It should be obvious by now that Trump does know what he is doing, despite liberal denial. Something happened in the last election that has never happened before and they said it couldn't be done. They said competent people from the private sector could never get elected but they didn't account for Donald J Trump, possibly our last best hope to save our country.

MAGA! And I'm still not tired of all the winning.

It amazes me that Hillary keeps herself in the spotlight in such a terrible way when she should be worried about indictment. Or maybe the Clintons have so many worried about becoming the next Seth Rich that she feels safe?
