This will have to do for now:
What a great gift, Melania! 😂 @aquariaofficial #DragRace pic.twitter.com/QIcIFNMAXL

ADDED: I've only started watching "RuPaul's Drag Race" recently (and only because I wanted to understand what Tom and Lorenzo were talking about in their podcast, which I greatly enjoy). So I'd never seen the "Snatch Game" competition before. But it's been going on long enough for there to be 87 items on "Every Snatch Game Impersonation on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Ranked." #1 is this Mae West, who delivered this memorable (NSFW) one-liner:

It’s like some kind of fucking ritual.
You sit down to lunch with a straight laced 60 year old woman who you know was always boring as shit and cowardly in bed and proud of it and she starts telling you how much she loves fags, trannies and every kind of degenerate.
Why do fucking old women prattle on about this crap? Why has it become some sort of signaling ritual for them?
Is there a fag hag virus?
So the crux of the joke is Melania is being held against her will by the President and that's supposed to be funny or at least give Trump haters a squirt of dopamine to help get them through another moment of their sorry existence.
Ha. Ha.
Hillary chose to stay with her captor for decades because she believed it was the best route for her to get the Presidency to which she was entitled- and it almost worked.
Ha. Ha.
The really interesting thing about the fag hag bloviating, at least from the standpoint of a straight man, is that it is invaribly followed at some point by the My Way or The Highway Speech.
“Don’t you dare think you’re going to do that kind of perverted, disgusting shit with me!”
So, the essential message is that everybody should really get it on in bed but the straight man the fag hag actually sleeps with.
You "doubt if many"?
Chalk on a blackboard. Yikes!
I think perhaps you "doubt many" or "doubt that many"

Did that show ever have any one mocking Mrs. Obama?
Did that show ever have any one mocking Mrs. Obama?
No. None of the guys are butch enough.
Someone yesterday linked to an article about a German sex doll whorehouse. I clicked to se if the dolls would be as creepy as I expected. No, they were way creepier. Almost lifelike but wit a quality that said run for your life before it's too late!
The picture of Alaska looked exactly like them.

Drag queens prefer makeup by a company called Kryolan. I get it confused with the company where Johnny Bench gets his spray paint.
An acquaintance of mine won the 4th season. It's the only time I have watched.
Did that show ever have anyone mocking Mrs. Obama?
Did pigs ever fly?
I trust Althouse is aware that Drag Race and the activities of drag queens are not tributes to women. Drag is about mocking women and proving them useless except as breeding stock.

"Did that show ever have any one mocking Mrs. Obama?"
You could easily answer the question yourself by looking at the list of 87... plus last night's show, where "Melania" did at one point relabel herself "Michelle Obama" (a funny allusion to the time Melania plagiarized Michelle).
On last night's show, there was a very funny imitation of Maya Angelou and an effort at mocking Maxine Waters.
The impersonations mix admiration and mockery.
The contestant who impersonated Dorothy Parker clearly loved her.
I don't think any of them just hated the person they were doing. That wouldn't even work!
For those of you who are intent on displaying your heterosexuality, that is the real Kate Upton in the first video snippet in the post.
I have no intent to display my heterosexuality. I just do it. It's one thing to be a sexual deviant, quite another to force others to celebrate it.
"For those of you who are intent on displaying your heterosexuality..."
I admit I do that. For an audience of one.
"I have no intent to display my heterosexuality. I just do it."
You lack the intent to do the things that you do? Sounds disingenuous. Wouldn't work in court.
But at least one man in this thread is strenuously displaying his heterosexuality. Is that even masculine?
... and an effort at mocking Maxine Waters.
That must have been a particularly difficult log to fall off of.
Someone yesterday linked to an article about a German sex doll whorehouse.
Don't you mean warehouse?
... and an effort at mocking Maxine Waters.
Maxine missed her calling. If I were a TV producer I'd make an effort to revive "Amos & Andy". I'd blur all racial distinctions and just go for Punch and Judy aspects. I'd cast Maxine Waters as "Sapphire" and Alec Baldwin as Trump as "the Kingfish".
"You is shiftless. You is lazy. And you ain't got the backbone of a jellyfish."
Maxine likes money. As "Sapphire" she'd make zillions.

This is an illustration of the "uncanny valley":
"In aesthetics, the uncanny valley is a hypothesized relationship between the degree of an object's resemblance to a human being and the emotional response to such an object. The concept of the uncanny valley suggests humanoid objects which appear almost, but not exactly, like real human beings elicit uncanny, or strangely familiar, feelings of eeriness and revulsion in observers.

Drag queens treat women the same way minstrel shows treat black people. It's just that they're a super-protected class so they are allowed. Watch what would happen if women mocked drag queens. Of course, women never do that. Some of us even fawn all over them and tell other women to shut up when we speak out against what drag queens do. Women who would be horrified if there was a weekly minstrel show on TV actually watch drag queens.
"That must have been a particularly difficult log to fall off of."
It didn't work because the contestant didn't know enough about Waters.
Mr. Chairman, we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and in particular at Fannie Mae
A segue and trans-ition.
It is extremely edgy and courageous to attack Trump and Melania.
Not unlike the courage of our soldiers at Omaha Beach.
"I have no intent to display my heterosexuality. I just do it."
You lack the intent to do the things that you do? Sounds disingenuous. Wouldn't work in court.
Do you intend for your heart to beat, or does it just happen? Do you intend for your eyes to be the color they are?
Isn't that what we hear about orientations all the time? It's not a choice, it's just the way we are?
You can choose to hide it (in a closet, so to speak), but refusing to disguise your fundamental nature is not the same as intending to display it.
I have nothing against drag, but the drag "Mae West" was a limp dick for sure. The real Mae West didn't say Come up and fuck me some time, she said Come up and see my some time, so the audience created its own salacious interpretation, which is the best way to do it.
this clown show has more paint than the common ones.

Yes Althouse's remark is obtuse. Honest people don’t choose to display honesty, although they might be choosing to be honest. Bravery is not a display. You naturally do a, b, and c, and someone infers d. Is it really always the case you were just trying to project d? Because that's what Althouse’s snark presumes.
It is well known that there are physiological reactions that people have when they encounter potential sex partners, such as pupil dilation and so. Does Althouse think we *choose* to dilate our pupils or raise our blood pressure? Then why must we be choosing all of our responses?
