[Her manager Gina] Rodriguez Rodriguez said her client will soon announce how and when she will tell her story publicly. How and when, eh? I guess a deal needs to be made... artfully.

"Stormy Daniels, the porn star whom President Donald Trump’s personal attorney acknowledged paying $130,000 just before Election Day, believes she is now free to discuss her alleged sexual encounter with Trump...."
AP reports.

Maybe I'm too jaded but $130k doesn't seem like much money in this case.
It has bothered me that she took a hush payment of $130,000 as that amount just doesn't round right. My guess is she was offered $100,000, then she said "No, I want that after taxes." So Cohen went up to $128,000, her being in the 28% tax bracket, then he said no, that looks too much like time plus expenses, so he threw in another $2,000.
And what was she doing at the Grammy Awards? I guess she's a singer.
I know Storm Large
tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CzcZYvyV50
not Stormy.
Could she be waiting for the Highest Bidder ?
"in a 2011 interview with the gossip magazine In Touch Weekly, the actress — who the magazine said passed a polygraph exam"
Really? In Touch administered a polygraph?
"The AP has previously reported that In Touch held off on publishing her account after Cohen threatened to sue the publication. It published the interview last month."
So..Cohen withdrew the threat?
Stormy: rain, but no golden showers.

Classy chick. Porn actresses and gold-digging opportunists of all types can learn from her: If you want to monetize your talents/sex appeal/whatever, be sure to do so with someone famous. That way, even if you have signed a pesky NDA, you still can sell your story again and again and become a star.
As for rich guys, there's not much advice to offer -- you always will be irresistible to women and surrounded by yes-men, and if your ethics are not rock-solid (and if they are, you probably won't get rich so no prob) you will need Herculean self control to stay out of trouble.
People are just not caring about this story. I don't.
Stormy Daniels' manager: a cocksucker, too.

Most evangelicals see a flawed man doing right.
Period.
The end.
Trump: Splooge Stooge.
Stormy Daniels, Jack Daniels: bottoms up.

Melania visited a pediatric research facility/residence..still no divorce pants.
I'm opposed to neutering male dogs. Dogs should keep their God-given balls, and play with them if they want to. Human males are a different story. I would neuter nearly all of them. Only the finest specimens should be allowed to breed. Trump is nothing special (that's an understatement) so he gets his pusillanimous putz, along with his bad attitude adjusted. His dumb children are reproducing, spreading their rotten genes to their offspring polluting the gene pool. This crime against humanity must be stopped. Neuter those suckers now!
Stormy Daniels, release your Memos!
So that's what the progs are left with, a has-been self-contradicting porn actress.
And Bill Clinton has raped. And all the progs have covered for him.
Thanks for playing.
People are just not caring about this story. I don't.
Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, but we already knew what kind of husband he is.
Public: Zero f*cks given about this story.
Press: We give an immense number of f*cks.
Stormy Daniels: I have given an immense number of f*cks.
Who cares? The presstitutes and the prostitutes.
If I was Trump, I'd say: "I shagged her." "I shagged her real good!"
Then go golfing.
If his wife gives him any shit, he can reduce her allowance. She ain't going nowhere with the prenup she signed.
Who cares???

Answered above @ 3:30.
"you know how it is with hookers. You don't pay them to come to you, you pay them to go away. And apparently this one isn't capable of managing her side of the equation."
I see darkening skies, just not for Trump and his marriage.

Talk of high drama!
Trump is the most exciting POTUS yet...
I feel like I’m experiencing a reality tv show in Washington.
Good news is the economy’s improving!
Here's hoping she reports Trump was her best lover ever!
Poor Kimmel,
Maybe he can get her back to address those carrots.
Fu...un!
Could the Big V have competed with this?
I gave my last fuck at the office. I think it was 2013. Hillary is not President and the right people are crazy!
"If I was Trump, I'd say: 'I shagged her.' 'I shagged her real good!'"
Rest assured, Stormy will give us the salacious details, then we can decide ourselves if it was a good shag or not. Trump, the cheating husband, is too old, and too maladroit, to give her a good, and proper shag. Have you seen the way he swings a golf club with his fat ass? I don't believe anything Trump says without it being verified by a non-braggart, and non-liar. "If I was [sic] Trump..." It's "If I were Trump..." Please learn a modicum of proper grammar, and decorum. Your hot comment about sex needs to be further explored. Do you cavort with hookers often? What constitutes a good shagging in your opinion. Thank you for your reply.
Trumpit:
Do you often concern yourself with the consensual sexual encounters of others with whom you have no personal relationship?
Follow-up: When did the Leftist Collectivists become so prudish?
Trumpit..bringing the decorum.
Priceless.
What is the world coming to when you can't even trust a porn star to keep her word?
Rest assured, Stormy will give us the salacious details, then we can decide ourselves if it was a good shag or not.
She's kind of between a rock and a (forgive me) hard place here. I mean, how can she come (oops) off as anything but an opportunistic (failed) house-wrecking gold-digger?
Trump=Clinton (Bill that is). Successful and a future ball and chain for their respective parties
Folks, end FISAgate, Andy McCarty, VDH! Powerline boosting. In case you all have not noticed both sides are horribly tainted by some of the bad actors in each party. Does the stuff about Trump in the Dossier really seem that unlikely?? $130,000 in hush money to a prostitute and no big deal, because like, ClintonRiceObamalibatards are just as bad? Get a grip.
A time will come when revelations about Trump money laundering come pouring out and what will be your defense then? VDH has recently thrown Bush and Romney under the bus as failures. At least they tried to hold up the standards of their party and the office.
I read Powerline regularly and shake my head when Hinderaker always divides the country into good guys and bad guys. How about recognizing that we all have common interests and play on the same team?
I usually avoid Scott Adams, but take a minute to watch his Periscope on why people hate Trump (why conversely they hated Obama). He has hit it on the head: the failure of power without empathy.
George W. Bush? You mean the guy who expanded federal spending and signed TARP? The guy who saw more Republicans de-register as Republicans than any other president? And you say VDH single handedly managed to throw GWB under a bus? I wish I had gotten the memo so that I could have driven that particular bus.
As for the money laundering, either show the evidence or STFU. You're just some Leftist talking point distributor with that nonsense.
Since not a single word of the Dossier has been proven correct, except that one dude took a trip to Russia, you'll have to try harder.
But don't worry, using the powers of the U.S. bureaucracy to deprive people of their civil liberties is completely kosher. It's just "FISAgate" and not an active operations to spy on American citizens in violation of their Fourth Amendment rights. What horse shit.
"Stormy Daniels, the porn star whom President Donald Trump’s personal attorney acknowledged paying $130,000 just before Election Day, believes she is now free to discuss her alleged sexual encounter with Trump..
Except a couple of weeks ago Daniels denied any sex with Trump.
She already gave Trump a rather good review (in the old interview).
Creditable, and not strange in any way apparently.
What more can you ask?
Which she retracted, and I guess she is un-retracting.
Trumpit:
[Do you often concern yourself with the consensual sexual encounters of others with whom you have no personal relationship?]
Yes, I'm concerned. If the President is engaging in immoral behavior that puts him at risk for compromise it needs to be exposed. Even if he was having sex with prostitutes while he was a candidate, he is still subject to blackmail, ridicule, embarrassment, etc. We elected a sleazeball and rogue, and we all want to be rid of his kind of rabble as soon as possible. I don't care how rich he may be, he's still lowlife riffraff.
Stormy will give us the salacious details, then we can decide ourselves if it was a good shag or not.
She already spilled, in the In Touch interview back in 2011. She said the sex with Trump was “textbook generic” and “it was one position, what you would expect someone his age to do.” On the other hand, she did say Trump told her she was “beautiful, smart, just like his daughter” -- and what young woman doesn't like to hear tender post-coital words like those?
As to the nature of the tryst, she said “I actually don’t even know why I did it, but I do remember while we were having sex, I was like, ‘Please, don’t try to pay me.’”
I guess Trump later agreed to be billed on the installment plan.
From AP story:
'Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, believes that Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, invalidated a non-disclosure agreement after two news stories were published Tuesday: one in which Cohen told The New York Times he made the six-figure payment with his personal funds, and another in the Daily Beast, which reported that Cohen was shopping a book proposal that would touch on Daniels’ story, said the manager, Gina Rodriguez.
“Everything is off now, and Stormy is going to tell her story,” Rodriguez said.'
Hard to believe Michael Cohen (Trump's personal lawyer) is now morphing into the second coming of Michael Wolfe. Does he really need a book contract that much?
It doesn't make sense, unless Cohen didn't want her to be a distraction so close to the election, even if her assertions weren't true.
Even if that were the case, Cohen now deserves to be on Trump's shit list (assuming the story isn't just more fake news).
So someone/some organizations must have offered her more than $130,000.
Looks like Trump did not master the art of that deal. Dumbass.
It is not only immoral behavior, it is illegal in most places in this country. Prostitution should be legalized in my opinion, but as it stands, he likely broke the law. He's needs to turn himself in to the authorities, and stand trial for all his criminal behavior, not just being a john, and soliciting a prostitute. Right-wingers are bullshitters, moralizers, lawbreakers, gun fanatics, and hypocrites, but who doesn't know that about them.
Hard to believe Michael Cohen (Trump's personal lawyer) is now morphing into the second coming of Michael Wolfe. Does he really need a book contract that much?
Trump's lawyer made the statement to forestall an investigation into whether Trump's business or campaign made the payment.
I see our Leftist contingent is gullible as usual, willing to believe anything that makes Trump look bad, despite the absence of evidence or a credible witness.
Exactly what do you believe backs up your belief in the probity of "Stormy Daniels"? The fact that she has a history of saying whatever she is paid to say?
Or maybe that Trump is a well-known sexual adventurer and customer of porn stars and strippers?
Right-wingers are bullshitters, moralizers, lawbreakers, gun fanatics, and hypocrites, but who doesn't know that about them.
You forgot racist, sexist, homophobic and killers of puppies and baby seals.
Weak sauce, child.
Weak sauce.
She said, in the interview, that she did not ask for payment, hence this is not prostitution. Or it can't be proven. Or its no more prostitution than every sort of other "arrangement" of its kind. There are all sorts of material considerations in these things. Willy Brown's ex mistress, for instance, who is likely to run for President in 2020, got her career start as a consideration for services rendered.
This area of inquiry gets extremely fuzzy very quick.
Personally, I think any man of means in a high position, who cannot limit himself to his wife, is well advised to acquire a discreet and pleasant mistress or two. Much less messy.
I think any man of means in a high position, who cannot limit himself to his wife, is well advised to acquire a discreet and pleasant mistress or two. Much less messy.
And the rule in more tropical countries. I remember a friend from Panama telling me that every businessman had a mistress or he would not have a place to entertain his friends with poker games. They all had the games at the mistress's apartment.
It was necessary for a male social life.
"Right-wingers are bullshitters, moralizers, lawbreakers, gun fanatics, and hypocrites, but who doesn't know that about them."
"You forgot racist, sexist, homophobic and killers of puppies and baby seals."
I didn't know that they killed puppies, too. I will defer to you on that point. Terrible. What can we do about them?
"I didn't know that they killed puppies, too."
We eat puppies too.
I have, anyway. Obama is not alone.
It is a classic dish of the Filipino "pulutan" (akin to Spanish tapas).

Perhaps we'll follow your program as Hillary's felonious handling of classified email, the Clinton Foundation accepting $150 million from the Russians in payment for Hillary's fast-tracking the Uranium One deal, and the Russian collusion with DoJ, the FBI, and Obama's White House to stage a coup d'etat were unmasked — i.e. just pretend it didn't happen and point at shiny trinkets.
I see our Leftist contingent is gullible as usual, willing to believe anything that makes Trump look bad, despite the absence of evidence or a credible witness.
Public opinion is a great witness. Not one that you respect, but that's because you hate democracy.
Trump is a cunt any way you slice it - whether you think it's right or wrong. I'd have just been like, "Yep. That's her. We did it. Nothing memorable for me, either." Or not. I don't know. I don't care. I just know he's a cunt.
Trump will now be Clintonized. We'll get our Ken Starr on him.
And his fundamentalist supporters are all rotten cunts, too. As well as all his other "true believers."
"We'll get our Ken Starr on him. "
Ken Starr did Clinton(s) enormous favors.
He slow-walked everything until the issues were utterly obscured in the public eye, and buried it in process.
He was duly rewarded later.
It was a remarkably clever performance.
The porn films are just a sales demo. The real money comes from the hooking. Charley Sheehan used to shell out $10,000 a throw. I don't know if that's the standard fee, but the guess here is that he's not the only extremely wealthy man who devised that cure for loneliness. Stormy might screw things up for the other guild members....... I'd say that she had an IRS audit in her future , but it's not like she's embarrassing a Dem politician. They leave her alone and audit Cohen...... I'd say that it's extremely credible she had a fling with Trump and, also, that it's extremely credible that any stories she tells will be to advance her own self interest and not the truth.......I wish I could be aloof from all this, but it's too good a story not to follow. I voted for Trump last election. Nothing about this story makes me regret my vote.
Makes Trump look bad? I was reliably told stuff like this makes Trump look great.
"I was reliably told stuff like this makes Trump look great."
The problem here is that Miss Daniels is a little past her prime, so that this business does not work for Trump quite as well as it should.
Ken Starr did Clinton(s) enormous favors.
Such as left-wing policies never standing a chance after the 1990s.
Right on. Certainly saw no "left-wing" policies in the prior regime...
"Such as"
Such as keeping him in office by never getting to the end of any of his investigations - but one, which M. Drudge and Linda Tripp made unavoidable.
In the meantime he had done his major strategic work, which was turning Wall Street to the Democrats. The foundation of liberal power today. Clinton was a very consequential man.
"Such as"
Such as keeping him in office...
Oh I know. Holding office personally is so much more important than any political legacy of standing.
In the meantime he had done his major strategic work, which was turning Wall Street to the Democrats. The foundation of liberal power today.
There's nothing liberal about Wall Street, Dummy. He turned his party into non-ideologues who were happy to do right-wing things to get jobs. Nothing else. Dummy.
Clinton's policy "achievements": DOMA, NAFTA, Crime bill, Welfare "reform," DADT, Glass-Steagall repeal. Nothing left-wing about any of those things.
Of course, if you weren't a right-wing dummy you might have figured that out.
Clinton headed the "DLC" as a way to make the DNC more conservative.
He succeeded.
Dummy.
They call her Stormy Monday, but that Tuesday, it wasnt bad.
My lawyer called on Wednesday: one thirty Gs need be had.
Thursday spent tossed & turning, newspapers hinting I'm a cad.
The wife looked at me funny Friday: aint gonna be no Saturday fun n play.
On Sunday I best be off to church, oh Lord, I'll be on my knees to pray.
They call her Stormy Monday. Why the hell did I look her way?
"Holding office personally"
Its never "personally" - what you elect, always, is not one man but a clique.
And this has always been true of all executive leadership, in a democracy or otherwise.
"There's nothing liberal about Wall Street, Dummy. "
Hmmm. They are the main enforcers for liberal cultural warfare. Just to begin with.
Why was Brendan Eich gotten rid of? - $$$
Who blackballs anyone who contradicts the liberal received wisdom? - $$$
Who backs tribal power-seekers against the US volk? - $$$
Its a very old alliance really, the Clinton administration restored the classic top-bottom political alliance against the middle. Very common throughout history.
As for Clintons "achievements" - look beneath the surface. Whats under that sign of Glass-Steagal? Qui bono?
Look instead to what judges, what regulators, what functionaries he brought in, and who they all made friends with. Look at, for instance, what Robert Rubin did.
"Clinton headed the "DLC" as a way to make the DNC more conservative. "
He made a new political alliance between people who had, or wanted, unlimited wealth, and the old "liberal" ideological structure, including the much-strengthened ethnic tribes. The top-bottom alliance we see today.
Its ideally seen (because its so blatant) in places like Google - mega-billionaires enforcing radical ideological dogma. But the truth is that every single F1000 firm is exactly like that. No conservative can make a peep at the cost of his career. Not unless, that is, he belongs to a union. Ironically.
Public opinion is a great witness. Not one that you respect, but that's because you hate democracy.
And the bronze for gibbering goes to the Toothless Revolutionary!
If you care, have a look at political contributions from JPMorgan Chase
Chase is a very large player in consumer finance.
You may well hold one of their credit cards. Amazon pushes them very hard. Connections, connections.
In 2012 Chase strongly backed Republicans and Romney.
https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/summary.php?id=D000000103
But in 2016 Chase strongly backed Democrats-Hillary.
Political contributions are an imperfect measure, as most political funds don't go to or through disclosed entities, but it serves quite well to indicate the position of the leadership thereof.
Hmmm.
Hmmm. They are the main enforcers for liberal cultural warfare. Just to begin with.
That's because companies do better and make more money when they're keeping labor from antagonizing each other through racial/ethnic/gender differences. Plus diversity helps them relate to a greater number of market demographics. Plus, these things were worked out mostly in the courts anyway, not Wall Street.
Dummy.
Everything you say is incorrect.
Whats under that sign of Glass-Steagal? Qui bono?
Conservative-libertarian deregulatory ideology.
Dummy.
Everything you say is bullshit. The obvious sign is you reach for convoluted, unevidenced assertions when there are simpler and better evidenced explanations. All things being equal, the simpler explanation is likely to be true. Even if it isn't psychologically satisfying for your weird conservative, denialist ways.
" Plus, these things were worked out mostly in the courts anyway, not Wall Street."
No, they aren't. They are enforced by implied threats to employment and careers. That's what keeps all the lips zipped.
This is apparent even in tech recruitment out of universities. Speak up the "wrong" way and you are behind the 8-ball. And, note, I have spent a very long time in college recruitment. And once we are dealing in management ranks its much worse.
I play in this space. It is my world.
Contrast and compare:
Donald Trump, then private citizen and billionaire pays one hundred and thirty grand in hush money to a porn star for allegedly shagging her.
Then sitting president Bill Clinton who prior to being president never more than forty grand a year winds up paying Paula Jones ( not exactly porn star material) eight hundred grand for trying to shag Jones and has hold to hold fundraisers to pay off his legal bills and judgment.
Robert Payne said...
Trump=Clinton (Bill that is). Successful and a future ball and chain for their respective parties
Thank you for your invaluable opinions. May I suppose there is no use talking to you?
" Plus, these things were worked out mostly in the courts anyway, not Wall Street."
No, they aren't. They are enforced by implied threats to employment and careers.
Because HR departments report directly to legal and make it their job to avoid lawsuits.
You are literally the dumbest asshole on the internets. Not even your conservative buddies here will disagree with the obvious and well-known fact that fear of lawsuits drives HR department policies that have made PC rules commonplace in companies. Again, that and because it's good for PR and market research.
Nothing you say ever has evidence. You just like to argue and pretend that some internal feeling you have (and wanting to deny reality and be confrontational with me) makes something a fact. You are more full of shit than a large municipal sewage treatment facility.
Go away and don't come back until you can source something for once in your pathetic life.
Not only does puti hate evidence, he hates common sense.
Watch him argue with what I just said. And without a single fact to credit himself with in doing so.
Evangelicals knew or suspected Trump's past misbehavior and would still support him even if he had numerous affairs. Many men who otherwise would not care much who is elected would admire the virile misbehavior, and so possibly add to Trump's support---just those men who did not condemn Bill Clinton's misbehavior. Maybe Trump paid Stormy to say she had an affair even if it never happened. That would explain his lawyer's blatant violation of attorney-client privilege, and Trump's failure to threaten a lawsuit.
Dummy.
Everything you say is incorrect.
Hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.
More hate-spew from the Toothless one!
I guess someone took his binky away from him tonight.
But I love him anyhow!
In a gruff, manly sort of way.
Hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.
Put your Depends undergarments back on and prove right a single thing he said, Gramps.
How many times has ARM interupted a thread to shout Stormy Daniels? And now that there's an actual Stormy Daniels thread, no ARM. What a tool! But no surprise.
I don't shout. That's ST.
No surprise.
I'm sorry, but I would not pay $130,000 to shag Stormy Daniels. That's just too damn high.
However, I'd be inclined to caress her voluptuous bosoms for, maybe, $42 smackers.
A man has got to have principles.
If people on the left think this is going to hurt Trump I don't know what to say. Trump's numbers have been steadily trending upward since the "scandal" broke. There are certainly fruitful avenues of attack, but this isn't one of them.
Social conservatives knew what kind of person Trump is when they voted for him. Melania knew what kind of person he is when she married him. Imagine being a party that ran a candidate so bad she lost to him anyway.
My question is whether or not the porn star is obligated to return the hush money now that she's not hushing.
I'm beginning to solidify my belief that Trump's presidency will generally be successful, in that he will leave the company in better shape than when he entered office but all of his good work will not help him gain a second term, because the electorate will be exhausted from the surfeit of drama.
His maelstrom of personal/personnel *noise* is tiring everyone out.
The successful opponent won't be some haranguing harpy like Warren or concern troll like Harris; rather, it'll be someone "normal", who plays a low-key foil to his high-dudgeon-ness but doesn't purport to doing much different governance-wise.
I wonder who will contend for that role because you can bet a few people are likely already eyeing that angle.
If the economy weathers the coming interest rate hikes though and things continue strong in the economy and foreign policy arenas and the GOP fares better than expected in the midterms, look for some clever Dem with limited profile to start calling for the release of Trump's tax records. I've long felt that the release of his tax records (that he promised to do, after all) would be for some vaguely outsider-ish Dem looking to build a zealous base what the birth certificate was for him to build his die-hard base in and outside of the GOP. As preparation for an insurgent run on a party nomination goes, Trump's use of the birth certificate issue was brilliant. Note how he dropped it, and when; seemed obvious that he didn't believe in it himself but had used it as a ruse. Anyone upset about that earned a big fat "SFW?" in response.
Who are the likely Dems that would seek that kind of establishment-breaking insurgency? Are there any?
Reading Ritmo call literally anyone else "Dummy" is hysterical. He ought to reserve that word for those times he's looking in the mirror.
Assuming that any of this is true, and Stormy Daniels isn't simply re-dangling the hook that has gotten her so much publicity for another taste of the limelight, let's all keep in mind this happened over 10 years ago.
She was much hotter back then, which is cool since she's still pretty hot. Maybe, to a billionaire, it would all be worth $130K to have that memory. Of course, the payment didn't come until much later anyway, so he probably just looked at it as any other one-night stand.
There's something to be said for shagging a woman that millions of men have themselves desired. Trump knows about this, so does Prince William, so did JFK - but Bill Clinton, not so much.
Veni,
I suspect such a moderate, and moderating, candidate could do well in the general election but would be crucified (probably not literally) by the activist part of the Dem base.
A good way for Trump to troll the Dems & their auxiliaries in the MSM would be for Trump to claim that it was not he who shook the sheets with Stormy Daniels -- it was his hitherto unknown evil twin, Ronald Trump.
They would all be like "WHAT! And he has a twin who is even more evil! Yagh!"
We Don't Care. Bill Clinton told us we shouldn't care. So we quit caring because it didn't affect us.
