The charges against Mr. Manafort date back years, well before he began working for Mr. Trump. His lawyers argue those charges exceed Mr. Mueller’s jurisdiction because he was authorized only to investigate separate matters if they arose from the Russia investigation.

Remember, the only reason for a special counsel, is because the FBI is corrupt and inc apable of doing the investigation, and Rod Rosenstien was too corrupt to prosecute.
But to the meat of the lefts outrage, I have never got the timeline to work. IF President Trump colluded with the Russions, why all the meetings after the fact to communicate about information that President Trump helped unearth? (and no one questions the varacity of) The left is very successfully conducting two invesitigations that cannot logically co-exist. There is no evidence, but every hypothetical about the collusion, happened after the fact of the phoney collusion to gather the information.
