"Vanity Fair 'Regrets' Video Telling Hillary Clinton To Take Up Knitting, Drop Politics."

"It was an attempt at humor and we regret that it missed the mark."

But they haven't taken the video down. Here:

That's from a humorous, feather-light series called "Six New Year's Resolutions for ______________." It's very mild. The one about Donald Trump proffers resolutions about his hairstyle, his soda drinking, and watching television.

The Hillary one included "Take up a new hobby in the New Year: Volunteer work, knitting, improv comedy – literally anything that will keep you from running again."

The no-sense-of-humor/no-sense-of-lightweightness Hillary crowd cried sexist about knitting.

And that criticism is, frankly, anti-knittist.

I think someone reminded them of Seth Rich.

One of my hobbies is crocheting - it's a great stress reliever. Both knitting and crocheting put you in a state of mind similar to a meditative state. I think the reason crafts such as knitting, crocheting, quilting etc. are becoming popular again is because they do relieve stress. Also, an outlet for creativity. People just need to lighten up. I've heard that originally knitting and crocheting were male crafts. There are many men who knit and crochet - there's even a product line named after the "Crochet Dude."

I'm glad they aren't taking the video down. The best way to handle the internet mobs- and to de-fang them- is to ignore them. They aren't real life.

Also, here's to Irene.

Nit picking.

@MayBee I was thinking of Irene too.

OK...I seriously don't understand. Could somebody please explain to me the Left's devotion to Hillary?

She's never actually accomplished anything (except get a rapist off), she has an unpleasant personality and is not physically attractive. She has proven that she believes the laws don't apply to her. Her only claim to fame and power she obtained through her marriage to a man who abuses and rapes women.

She is a two time loser when running for president, including what should have been a slam dunk election against what should have been the most unelectable candidate in history.

She has brought nothing but misery and corruption everywhere she has gone.

Used to be that the joke went like this:

Q: How many feminists does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: That's not funny!!!

Looks like we need to replace "feminists" with "leftists."

Against knitting? Who's gonna produce the knitted pink hats the left will need for the next inauguration?

Private Server for international cash, and big government FBI sanctioned lying/covering. HER> don't need no stinking yarn.

Now would be her time to finish joining the Marines.

Except for the knitting, she's already the Vengeance. Especially the cackle.

Hillary has been knitting, knitting for years. She had knitted a vast web of corruption and criminality.

Besides running for office, what can Hillary actually do? Would anyone want her to cook you a meal? Drive you to a doctors appointment? Would you eat any cookies that she baked for you to eat at Christmas? Sex? Not even BJ Clinton wants to have sex with her. Baby sit for the grandchildren? That will never happen. Seriously, what good is she?

David Begley said...

Hillary can knit in Leavenworth.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

Other than money whoring, HER> is worthless. But the Hive Minders still love her. They think she is innocent and qualified. But then, the qualifications for progressive tyranny are exactly Hillary Clinton.

I like how the Vanity Fair people call themselves "The hive" - LOL perfect.

Dust Bunny Queen said...

Maybe that is their way of telling Hillary to "mind your knitting"

stick to (one's) knitting

1. To mind one's own business. Oh, stick to your knitting—I don't need to hear your opinion of every little thing I do.

2. To do only what one knows or is familiar with. You can't just stick to your knitting—you have to try new things too.

Effff off Hillary!!!

I also knit and crochet and as Professional Lady said, it is a very relaxing, meditative, zen like experience.........until you make a mistake and have to rip out rows and rows of work! At which point you just chalk it up to a learning experience.

Kind of meta, but she will be made fun of as the woman we shouldn't make fun of. This generation's Queen Victoria.......Out in the ether, however, there are quite a few jokes at her expense, and they're made by people of the left. The one public figure who is never mocked is Barack Obama. Even rodeo clowns revere his image........What does Sheila Jackson Lee have to do to achieve mockability?

Doesn't that fall into the "stand by your man, staying at home baking cookies" type of woman category?

Uh oh.

Looks like someone decided to dip a mere toe outside the Lefty Hive Mind Bubble of Acceptability to "make a funny" and those super duper "tolerant" lefties decided to make an example of them...with precisely the results you'd expect of our "tolerant" Maoists.

Hillary really should take up knitting. It's a peaceful and productive hobby. Also, it would take her mind off trying to rule the country as payback for suffering decades of humiliation caused by her philandering husband, Bill.

Shelob already does plenty of knitting.

Doesn't Whiney Hillary already have a hobby? She says she likes to get hammered on cheap whine and pass out in the corner with the potted palm.

"Sipping chardonnay and wondering in the woods" is what she euphemistically calls it.

Hills, babycakes, there's no woods for miles around your house. Nobody with access to Mapquest is buying this.

Someone gave my 2 year old grandaughter a cute little baby doll for Christmas. Nothing fancy, probably cost $10 but she likes it.

It comes with a little knit cap with mouse ears on it.

I was amazed that nobody else said anything but my first thought was "pussy hat". I didn't say anything either. I am sometimes smart enough to keep my mouth shut.

Feminists have long said that women are too little regarded in this country. Apparently they’re right.

n.n said...

Feminists not only denied life to babies deemed unworthy, but agency to women who were advised that choice occurs after conception (the "act"). Whether a woman knits or quilts or whatever is positive progress following decades of feminists waging social justice on women, men, and babies, too.

That was my reaction, too. Of course it's self-aggrandizement on their part. They may be part of The Hive, but not all of it. In any event, somewhere in Libertarian Heaven, Joseph Sobran is having a good laugh.

I dunno. Hillary made a big deal about being a grandma. My daughter and her husband live in London as does "Grandma Linda" who started knitting up a storm when the first grandchild was still six months from delivery. Now some 5 years later the two grandkid's closets are overflowing with sweaters, booties, caps, gloves, jumpers you name it. Now that the youngest has just turned three and his older sister is four and a half, it's time to "thin the herd" of knitted items.

But hey Grandma Hillary--if you got it, flaunt it. If you are going to talk the talk, then walk the walk and pick up those needles.
