"Don’t get in the elevator with him, you know, and the whole every female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him."

"Now people are saying it out loud. And I think that does make a difference."

Said newswoman Cokie Roberts, speaking about John Conyers. The question, of course, is why didn't she or any of the other women in the press corps say it out loud? And what are you still not saying out loud? Are you just waiting until somebody else exposes one of the politicians you have been protecting or is there no one else you're just hanging back not talking about until the day comes when you'll be saying, once again, oh, yeah, we all knew that?

The first reaction of San Donaldson was that Clinton would have to resign. He was quickly pulled into line with the other Democrats.

"I don't think I want a pilot having a gun!"

He's flying the goddamned plane, you stupid bitch! If he wanted to kill everybody, he doesn't need a fucking gun!

The good man doesn't just say I'm good and sit back and watch others get their due. Why didn't you do more in the past to champion the equality of women in the workplace and what can you do now?

You're assuming I haven't done what I could. We are talking about men who's egos and libidos drive them to do things to women that are quite obviously self destructive. They can't be talked out if it, I know because I've had little success trying.

One friend is a serial cheater, and worse yet a braggart. I've told him more than once that I am not a priest, that I have absolutely no obligation of any kind to keep his dirty secrets, and that I will not lie to whatever current wife or girlfriend he has. That didn't stop him from cheating and bragging. His second wife calling me to ask if he was cheating on her, and my unwillingness to lie to her, and their resulting divorce only taught him to stop bragging, but not to stop cheating.

Another friend only finds women who are in committed relationships attractive. No amount of pointing out that the world is full of single and unattached females can shift his desire to take another man's woman.

Another friend who likes to slap one of my female friend's ass after he's had a few drinks could only be deterred when I threatened to slap his daughter's ass.

Other than holding a gun to their heads 24/7, what would you have me do?

I'd be curious to know how committed to their relationships your friend's targets were.

Interesting comment, Bob.
It's purely anecdotal but..in a couple cases..of couples, I've noticed the wife tending more to appearance shortly before bailing...

Bob,

Does it really exonerate the guy if he goes after willing married women? I mean...he can't know if they are willing until he dips his toe into the water, as it were.

That is sufficient to find him detestable.
