She seems unusually sober here and as humorless as a human can be. America, we dodged a big bullet last year!

Althouse why no mention of the fact Hillary advocated for targeted assassination of Assange? Maybe that has colored his outlook.

That's a really unhappy person.

She needs to take some time off from her day job of simmering in bitterness over what she thinks she was entitled to and did not receive and refocus her mind and priorities. There is no place for her on the national or world stage. She accomplishes nothing positive doing this shit. Hillary, go home to your pretty house and read, cook, have neighbors over for coffee, grow things in your garden, volunteer teaching poor kids to read, play with your grandkids, eat wholesome food, count your voluminous blessings, and spend time daily in prayer and study. This is how to have a peaceful and calm retirement. Just surrender and stop railing at a world that you feel has wronged you. The universe owes you nothing and you need to accept what is, not what you wish were.

If Democrats don't want folks like Trump winning, they shouldn't put up candidates like Hillary. A group of George Soros-funded organizations funded a study about why white working-class voters stampeded to Trump in the last election, and one of their discoveries was that "White working-class perspectives on Hillary Clinton ranged from visceral dislike to lukewarm support,” the researchers found. “Typically, the views expressed about her focused on being untrustworthy and dishonest, as well as accumulating a fortune from not working hard."

Sums her up nicely.

It's easier to discuss him than Harvey Weinstein. A tad less embarrassing.......I think both Assange and Hillary give off a creepy vibe. I note that Democrats and some media people have expressed far more outrage against Assange when he leaked info harmful to the DNC than when he leaked info harmful to the national security interests of the United States. Hillary criticized Snowden, but he still remains a hero to much of the left. I wonder what Hillary feels about Obama's pardon of Chelsea Manning. Chelsea never released info harmful to the Dems so she's beyond reproach.

Hillary reminds me a bit of Jezebel, wicked queen described in the Bible. IIRC, she was thrown to her death and eaten by dogs. If Hillary fails to heed Misplaced/Pants' sound advice, this will happen to her, at least figuratively. But she is incapable of receiving sound advice and can't believe that even her own eunuchs will turn on her.

That camera angle does no favor to either of the people in the clip.

I think if you play this clip of Hillary right after the clip of Trump joking around with the gal who wanted a stewardess job on one of his planes, you'll kind of have an idea why he won.

She seems like that hateful old bat who sits on the church board sneering down her nose at the plebes in the pews but who has never had an actual kindly Christian thought in her life. Trump comes across as the bullshitting uncle who is not above sneaking you a beer at a family BBQ behind Grandma's back.

Came the time to realize
And it was too late

There's a scene in the move Tombstone that I always thought perfectly summed up Hillary:

Wyatt Earp: What makes a man like Ringo, Doc? What makes him do the things he does?

Doc Holliday: A man like Ringo has got a great big hole, right in the middle of him. He can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.

Wyatt Earp: What does he need?

Doc Holliday: Revenge.

Wyatt Earp: For what?

Doc Holliday: Bein' born.

Bill Clinton.

No idea why Bill married her and he is a soulless piece of shit too. But Bill is the only reason she rose so far.

Looking at the democrat party and it's leadership it is pretty easy to see how leftists have managed to kill so many people around the world.

She was a tool, an instrument, like Obama.
A poor quality tool, but apparently retained for her reliability.
That, or because she was the consensus of a committee.
Committees have a bad habit of coming up with less than ideal compromises.
Behind the tool are the craftsmen moving it.

Trump is not a tool, but to a great degree his own craftsman, whatever his faults.

There's Something About Hillary.

A woman who - despite past ballot box rejection - travels across the country to try to convince Joe Sixpack (Ben Stiller) to vote for her for something authoritarian. Uncomfortable moments ensue during condo board election campaign. (Russians, email, cloths) Aaron Rodgers cameo. Maybe not Weinstein produced.

There's a good argument that Hillary is the only reason Bill rose so far. I strongly suspect it was her ambition that propelled him onward. He seems like a guy that enjoys riding the roller coaster, while Hillary is the one who hired a bus, had her aide buy the tickets, drew out a map of the theme park, made reservations at the restaurants. She doesn't actually like the rides, just being in charge of everyone.

Hillary said she got great healthcare in Britain's "excellent healthcare service". Was this just a way for her to get that plug in for single payer?

On the other hand,I know someone who tripped and broker her leg over there, and sat on a gurney in a hospital hallway for a couple days and so she and her husband decided to fly back to the states to get her leg set and get real healthcare services. And yes I know Hillary got moved to the front of the line.

Hill doesn't have the self-awareness to realize Putin wanted her, but as weak as possible.

He gave Bill money, he gave Podesta money, he had his uranium guy give the foundation money. At the same time, he stirred the pot with BLM BS, raising discontent on the left, and wanted DJT at least to siphon off some support. But he had Ms. Reset's number, and must have been shocked to see Trump won, like everyone else outside the GOP base.

No one I know in the UK used national health care nor would they consider using it. They have providers through their own private insurance.

Ah, poor Asange. He never realized he was only loved because the left thought him an attack dog they could point at their victims of choice. He never realized that they didn't share his same beliefs. I may not like the guy, but at least he's got a consistent belief structure that he imposes on everyone.

The Left just assumed that, like them, he would fall in line under Obama.

On NPR (where else?) I heard an interview with some female photojournalist who had covered Queen Cacklepants' presidential campaign. She said she had seen Hillary on many occasions, addressing crowds, etc., in which she did not exhibit the cazy-eye-killa facial expressions that sort of became a Hillary trademark. I guess all those noram-facial-expression photos were suppressed because the media were so pro-Trump.

Once upon a time, George Foreman was the meanest, scariest boxer in the world. He destroyed the competition. He was defeated by old man Muhammed Ali. George kind of lost his mind for awhile, ended up preaching on street corners.

Years later, he spoke with humor about his defeat. I remember him saying, 'I spent all my money in the early rounds, then I was knocked out". No whining, crying, excuses, or Russians involved. I lost, he won, just that simple.

So the "I'll donate it with my 10%" trial balloon went up to no outrage on the left.

Then today we get this: "The Clinton Foundation will not return or re-donate any of the $250,000 it received from disgraced film producer and Democratic donor Harvey Weinstein, saying the funds have been spent already."

To paraphrase Sally Field: "You'll cover for me! You'll really still cover for me!"

I'm glad, Etienne, that you are not running the CIA. While I agree the CIA and the FBI are both incompetent, they are more benign that way.

Hillary has fallen down and broken her toe while making the media rounds in the UK:

'I tried to get up and it really hurt. I've broken my toe.'
She added: 'I've received excellent care from your excellent health service.'

Oh fuck you. You're a member of the elite. You get excellent care everywhere, so let's not pretend you just went through the ER in London like everyone else.

Kevin said...

If I was running the CIA, Assange would be dead.

Why? The USSC has ruled that any American paper could have printed what he did. They might be persuaded not to, but Snowden's revelations were put out of the NY office of the paper to ensure US law would support them being published.

You can get upset at Manning and Snowden for stealing, but I don't understand the outrage at Assange for publishing.

Unless of course you felt the editors of the NYT should have been executed for publishing the Pentagon Papers. That too would be illegal, but at least you'd be consistent in your anger.

I read through the comments. Boy, is there hostility toward Hillary. I guess I called her a "worn out liar," which is pretty hostile too.

I do think she is dishonest and lusts for power and would have been an awful president. She also seems to have lost all joy.

However, she twice came remarkably close to being elected president. In 2008, it was sitting there for her and she let Obama take it away. If her "team" with hundreds of millions of dollars of campaign had just been smart enough to check out the video tapes sold in the lobby of Rev. Wright's church prior to the Iowa caucuses, she would have been elected president.

This time, there must have been a way for any competent democratic politician to beat Donald Trump, but she failed to do so. I don't really know what she should have done different (she is a bad unlikeable candidate), but she lost due to 44k votes in Pa, 24k votes in Wisc and 11k votes in Mich. She only needed Pa and one of the other 2. So, she really was laser close to being elected.

I suppose blowing two lay up chances at being president would suck the joy out of someone like her.

Everyone knew this. Obama was the Weinstein of 2008.

Kansas City said...

In 2007, Obama was largely a nobody and, once Hillary perceived he was a threat to her nomination (which was prior to the caucuses), she would have cut him off at the knees in a heartbeat. She and her team were not smart enough to think about checking out Rev. Wright and, once it came out from other sources, Obama was somebody and it was too late for them to use it. No doubt he would have lost Iowa if it had come out prior to the caucuses.

Assange probably doesn't publish a lot of stuff exposing the Russian government because their cabinet/Politburo-level officials don't run official traffic through unencrypted bathroom servers, let their maids print out classified documents at home, and let their chiefs of staff use passwords like "Password."

Incompetence flows downhill from there.

I think this is a huge factor, honestly, and one that partisans tend to ignore. Apparently, the Republicans have better security practices in place.

Those "binders filled with women" that the media found so amusing are unhackable.
