Nineteen years after she first complained of a "vast right wing conspiracy," Hillary sniffs out another one. And she won't rule out challenging the legitimacy of the 2016 election. Have another Chardonnay, Secretary Clinton, you're a quart low.
So I'm watching part three of Ken Burns' Vietnam. And like part two (I didn't watch part one), it is full of profuse praise for the JKK/LBJ Administrations, about how the guys running things were the best and brightest -- all while at the same time showing how greatly they fucked up everything.
Fell asleep for half of part three, but caught the end. And like any time I watch/read anything about the war (I'm too young to have experienced it at the time), I'm disgusted and pissed off. The absolute CRIMINAL incompetence of Kennedy, Johnson, McNamara, Bundy, Westmoreland -- all of them. If any of them had any integrity, they would have resigned and gotten the hell out of the way rather than continually making things worse and worse and worse.
To really appreciate Johnson's incompetence and malice, you need to read HR McMaster's "Dereliction of Duty. "
I read it years ago and am now reading Caro's LBJ biography.

I'm finally back online after Hurricane Irma here in Southwest Florida. My power went out on Sunday 9/10 and came back on Friday 9/15 while I was at work. It was a miserable time without electricity or air conditioning, as well as no running water, since I'm on a well. My internet finally came back today. My cell phone service at home is still intermittent at best, and probably will remain so until they finally fix the local cell tower. But at least I can communicate again.
Hurricanes really, really suck.

As a military man, Westmoreland followed orders that came down from the top, as a military man is required to do. I've met Westmoreland, and can attest that he is a stand up guy. When he showed up at our military reunions we were honored to have him there.

Nice shirt. Oh, not in the right colors. What is the model smirking? There's another listing for the same shirt. Nope, still not in the right colors. That model is positively leering! Enough. Too distracting. Fancier online store. Dresses. No. No. No. No. No. What are these for? Coachella? Gag. Sweaters. Matador sweater. Huge, ugly sweater. Short, spherical sweater. Bleh. Gross. High end online store. T-shirt. Comes in black, grey, and white. That's it?! Sweaters. Ah, a regular sweater. Comes in pink, orange, or blue. ?! Okay... blue. Why isn't the model wearing a bra? How is the consumer supposed to know how this looks when worn the regular way, that is, with underwear? Forget it. I hate clothes now.
What's with showing sweaters tucked in? I don't know that I've ever seen anyone wearing a sweater tucked into pants. Totally unhelpful pictures. Makes one assume the bottom of the sweater looks like garbage.
