"I love old hardware stores. They are hard to find these days."
I have a whole big series on that hardware store, so just wait. It was Meade's favorite thing about the whole trip (not counting the seeing of family members).
I once worked for a hardware store trades magazine. My favorite part of the job was traveling around and talking to hardware store owners. I always loved the smell of an old hardware store when you walked in the door. Lowes andHomeDepot are sadly lacking in the smell department.
BTW, posting about fountain square, have you watched the Good Bones show on hgtv? F. Square is one of their haunts. Tim
I couldn't help noticing that both the Hot Values Plumber and the figure on the left in the Scaramouche post are depicted rather blatantly as dressing right.
Radio is a sound salvation Radio is cleaning up the nation They say you better listen to the voice of reason But they don't give you any choice 'cause they think that it's treason So you had better do as you are told You better listen to the radio

Matushick's Hardware was my favorite place when I was a kid.
My father bought my first shotgun there when I was 9. They had everything.

Reminds one of "I'm on a Mexican radio...radio"
"Reminds one of "I'm on a Mexican radio...radio""
I thought of Elvis Costello & The Attractions - "Radio, Radio."
