O.J. Simpson and his lawyer caught on a hot microphone talking about how O.J. is like Trump.
They're talking about the author of the book "Guarding the Juice: How O.J. Simpson Became My Prison BFF," who's said things like "O.J. Simpson is not suffering in prison. He's eating well. He's exercising well. He's got a flat screen TV." O.J.'s lawyer compares that to news reports about Trump that say things like "he gets two scoops of vanilla ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, instead of the single scoop for everyone else."
O.J.: "That guy [the author of the book, (Jeffrey Felix)], he's shameless."
O.J.'s lawyer (Malcolm Lavergne): "Kind of like President Trump. Trump gets two scoops. Everyone else gets one."
O.J.: "Oh, I heard that. I heard that."

Well as similes go, it doesn't make sense to me.
The beauty of America is that anyone can get two scoops.
Objection: Attorney-Client Privilege
Simpson is surprisingly handsome in that clip. Most of the pics of him these days show him as fat and decrepit, but in that clip he seems fit and vibrant.
Years of incarceration probably have some benefits.
Seemed like there was an uncomfortable pause there when OJ used the term "shameless".
I heard that, I heard that.
Even though it's not true, I heard that.
Thus the real power of the media is revealed.
A lie travels around the world before the truth even has it's shoes on.
The headline is wrong. It's not "OJ is like Trump" but that former prison guard Felix is like Trump, shameless apparently. Speaking of shameless, Felix devotes a whole chapter to OJ's genitalia, trying to horn in on Laslo's turf.
As a restaurant waiter, Ronald Goldman probably served ice cream to customers.
If a customer wanted two scoops he probably made sure they got two scoops.
I am Laslo.
Whoever killed Ronald Goldman is a Bad Man.
If we only knew who did it, I'm sure Society would shun him.
I am Laslo.
Ronald Goldman would be forty-nine now.
He might even have had kids.
Kids who liked ice cream.
I bet if the kids were good they could get two scoops.
I am Laslo.
I heard a reporter can get two bags of dicks if a false story about Trump makes it onto JournoList.

That's my headline.
OJ is like Trump (in the argument being made in the quoted dialogue) because both are presented in the media as if they are getting some weird form of special treatment and it's ridiculously unfair in the same sort of way.
Felix is analogous to Time Magazine.
When you are a big celebrity you can grab them by the hair and slice open their throat, and they just let you do it.
I am Laslo.
OJ is like Trump (in the argument being made in the quoted dialogue)
Ah. When the lawyer says, "Like Trump" he is making the comparison to OJ based on the "special treatment" that Felix alleges in the book.
Okay. That meaning wasn't clear to me on first read. After a few sips of coffee and help I now see what I wasn't seeing.
OJ loved Nicole.
In his own words, he said he may have loved her too much.
He was never going to give her up.
I am Laslo.
O.J. got two slices.
All thanks to Laslo Spatula for pointing out the absurdity of the situation with humor and truthiness.
OJ was a great guy until he wasn't. Then he was pretty bad.
One nice thing about having OJ in prison was not having to hear about him all the damn time, even if he did get extra ice cream and a flat-screen television.
One unfortunate thing about OJ getting out of prison is that television producers want to give him his own reality show.
We are not serious people.
Does this mean we can Impeach Trump now?
Are there non-flat-screen televisions anymore?
Are the other prisoners getting 18 inch thick CRT televisions?
Armstrong and Getty are amused by the news media headline "The Juice is Lose."
OJ seems comfortable and relaxed. He still has more than his fair share of charm and magnetism, and it is effortless. If he is haunted by any of the past events of his life, it's not apparent on the surface. He even seems to have adjusted to prison without much bitterness......We want OJ to be a figure in some kind of morality play, but he just won't play the part. He's not full of sound and fury, but he signifies nothing.
If OJ is a free man, you can thank the OJ Jury and Marcia Clarke. Oh, and the guy who thought moving the trial to Downtown LA was a good idea. OJ's peer's were in Brentwood, not Watts.
OJ can now go back to searching for the real killers on his local golf course or committing another crime. Or maybe both.
OJ for President.
If Ron Goldman had been black, OJ would still be in Jail.
Rcocean.......his defense team did focus groups. Found out that middle aged black women would be sympathetic to a black athlete who killed a white bitch and a Jew.
OJ's peer's were in Brentwood, not Watts.
That's why when the jury toured his home, OJ's lawyers took down the photos of him golfing with white dudes and replaced them with civil rights era photos. Such as Norman Rockwell's "The Problem we all live with".
Laslo: "OJ loved Nicole.
In his own words, he said he may have loved her too much."
Did OJ really say that? Because it is hauntingly close to Othello's final words: "Loved not wisely but too well." I doubt OJ was into Shakespeare but the echo of what was said (and what was done?) is uncanny.
Owen said..
"Did OJ really say that?"
He wrote it.
OJ 'suicide note.'
"To Whom It May Concern:
First, everyone understand. I have nothing to do with Nicole's murder. I loved her; always have and always will. If we had a problem, it's because I loved her so much….
"I've had a good life. I'm proud of how I lived. My mama taught me to do unto others. I treated people the way I wanted to be treated. I've always tried to be up and helpful. So why is this happening?…"
"At times, I have felt like a battered husband or boyfriend, but I loved her; make that clear to everyone. And I would take whatever it took to make it work.
Don't feel sorry for me. I've had a great life, great friends. Please think of the real O.J. and not this lost person.
Thanks for making my life special. I hope I helped yours…."
I am Laslo.

OJ and Caitlyn Jenner. Dating, engagement, marriage. Can't miss.
Laslo: "...If we had a problem, it's because I loved her so much...."
SO much. Not TOO much. To my ear, one small word makes a very big difference. With "too much" I get the echo of the Moor and his strangled wife. With "so much" it goes away. I get Hallmark sentiment.
OJ and Caitlyn Jenner. Dating, engagement, marriage. Can't miss.
OJ banging his lawyer's ex-wife's ex-husband in drag.
Wait make that his ex-lawyer's ex-wife's ex-husband in drag.
Grabbed wrong quote.
"Here is the 'too much' version...
I am Laslo.
I'm not sure people got the underlying meaning of my 8:31 comment.
OJ Rick-Rolled the Justice System.
OJ Rick-Rolled the Jury.
OJ Rick-Rolled the Media.
OJ Rick-Rolled the Truth.
OJ will continue to Rick-Roll our Culture.
Because we will keep pressing on the links.
I am Laslo.
Laslo: awesome work. indeed, there was TOO much lovin'. The OJ/Othello association survives, which is more than can be said for Nicole and Ron. May they rest in peace.

Trump is a producer: children, buildings.
O.J. is a consumer: redistributive change (i.e. involuntary exploitation), and possibly an abortionist twice over.
The equivalence is uncanny.
If Ron Goldman had been black, OJ would still be in Jail.
If Nicole Simpson had been black, OJ would still be in jail. FIFY.
There was video after the verdict. Can't find it online.
A juror said something like, "You wanna get convicted for beating your wife, go ahead, but you wanna get convicted for murder?"
There was so much so wrong in that trial, and good people were on both sides. The legal industry died a lot that day.
Johnnie Cochrane would never get caught on a hot mic. OJ's in prison because Johnnie is dead.
He's out and will shortly join that genre of "reality t.v." More vile than the Khardashians, far more stupid than the stupidest of Housewives of either coast, he will be a huge hit in these the waning days of the culture formerly known as Western Culture.
Why was the mike "hot" in the first place? Whoever runs these things, including the media, have an obligation to respect attorney-client privilege.
Do parole boards have authority to cite people for contempt of court?
That there is one huge nothing burger.
Please, no more simpson, ever.
