One cold winter I put a metal salad bowl filled with water and heated below by candles out and got lots of birds.
The interesting thing was that as it got colder, the circle of un-iced water shrank but never disappeared. The candle heat has to match the rate of heat loss, and the latter hole expanded and shrank with the temperature.
An enclosing box below kept the candles out of the wind.
My husband watched that show every week. I never could figure out what was funny about it, in spite of the generous canned laughter. As Britcoms go, I preferred Fawlty Towers.
And in the world of physics, er, I mean politics, watch the whole democratic party reverse polarity and complain that Comey was righteous and Trump should have kept him on.
Thanks lunatic leftist media for providing an excuse to get rid of James "Valerie Plame Affair" Comey. Trump should have removed him back on January 20 at 12:00:01 p.m.

And CNN is shocked, shocked I tell you, that this has happened! One arm of the 'left' is flipping the switch...
The beginning illustrates why when a beekeeper provides the bees with a source of water he puts a shelf or stone in it so the bees can walk up to the water.

I put a rock or a stick in outside water bowls so lizards and bugs can get out.

Didn't know donkeys rolled their tongues like that when they drink.
They has a bucket.
And nobody be stealin' their bucket.
What a good idea (and perspective) for a film!
Before the video image appeared, and in light of recent discussions, I envisioned a bucket full of crabs.
That was one thirsty little bunny.
Somewhere Mr. Creosote is pleased.

Dogs and presumably other animals drink with the bottoms of their tongues, somebody wrote once. May be true.
That's "Bouquet".
I enjoyed that.

Another point in favour of the American Revolution.
Trump just fired Comey
Trump just fired Comey
That should please Hillary.
I'll never get tired of draining the swamp. What an incompetent nutsack.
"Trump just fired Comey."
Great. Can't wait for Comey's book.
Cue the impeachment howl.
Finally, can Trump do that? Within the law, I mean? I thought Comey was insulated from this by the length of his term.
Good idea or bad? Time will tell. Depends on the replacement.
Feast for lawyers and legal commentators.

Maybe not investigating Yates regarding the Flynn leaks was the last straw.

Dems pissed off.
Republicans pissed off.
Career FBI investigators pissed off.
Justice Dept pissed off.
Not exactly a recipe for longevity.
McCabe better be next.

That was wonderful - thank you for sharing it.
"Trump just fired Comey"
Should have happened 110 days ago.
Just saw your post, Mark. Didn't mean to repeat it, but that was my immediate thought too.
I love animals, and their beauty. I abhor humans, and their cruelty.
Reminds me of Democrats. Always taking from the commonwealth without ever putting anything back in.
Watching that gave me such a feeling of joy and contentment
I found this strangely beautiful.

It's so pretty. So clear.
I love animals, and their beauty. I abhor humans, and their cruelty.
Pretty typical for a clueless Lefty.
Which is exactly the problem of course.

I used to have a house with a swimming pool.
It was interesting to watch the Wasps land on the water, take a drink, and fly off.
While I floated in my chair and enjoyed the rays.
I always kept the water out of my belly-button though. In deference to the Wasps.
The Wasps land on the water,
As the weather gets hotter.
My floating in their lake,
seems to evoke scant harm.
Alas, for my belly's sake,
I keep one eye on the swarm.
