Mike Pence owns CNN's Dana Bash at the Korean DMZ.

She makes a statement about the Norks nuking Seattle on his watch, and then puts the microphone in Pence's face.
He re-defines stoney silence. The last time I saw a face like that.....I was about to get my ass kicked.

Sorry, I don't have a link. It's a 45 second exchange in a 5 minute interview.

I just watched an interview on the Golf Channel of Condoleeza Rice. I think she might be running. She passed over lots of chances to say she wasn't, and mentioned that when she was four years old, she was elected president of her family.

At todays' press conference there were a number of questions about the review of the JPCOA, which acronym gives them all an orgasm to use since it signifies their inclusion in a secret society. I call it Obama's Big Fucking Bad Deal. The questions were all about what Trump would do if the Iranians were found to be in violation. Such a typical bad question from our investigative reporters. My questions would have been: Are you going to make Obama's deal public so the Americans can judge for themselves? If the American people express shock and horror at the deal, will Trump renounce it?

Okay, FOX, what am I going to watch at 8pm?

Turns out "punched in face dreadlocks girl" is a hairy legged porn model called Venus Rosales. Pics of her throwing glass bottles during protest are on internet. Also, her and her pals drove for six hours to cause trouble, or as she put it , "take nazi scalps".

Good question. There is not much that I agree with O'Reilly about, but he is a great showman and talkshow host. I do not see any great lineup of such talents that might take over his slot.

I am also wondering about his "accusers." His line about paying them off out of consideration for his family sounds dodgy, but then the accusations so far consist mainly of innuendo. We are promised that the revelations to come will be just terrible, but the bits so far revealed sound just gauche, assuming they were not followed up by more direct action.

With one leaked story, the NYT took O'Reilly out. One settlement was for $9m and the total was $13m, but the public does not know the facts. Then some advertisers pull the plug but I suspect others would have bought commercials at slightly lower rates.

The liberal establishment wins again. Bill was probably not without fault but what about Bill Clinton's activities?

Laura Ingraham should replace him.

I lost my last vestige of interest in Fox when Bill Kristol reappeared on FNS.

Tucker is an improvement. Bill was a bully.

Waters will fill 9:00 EST slot well.

Bill O is gone! Official word; he will not return to the FNC.

In commemoration of Bill O's departure, here is my favorite clip from the show in which O'Reilly goes off on George Will for having had the temerity to correct O'Reilly on some stupid shit that was included in the O'Reilly book (that Martin Dugard wrote, no doubt) "Killing Reagan."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YGzXYSzzxE

And here's the George Will "review" that set O'Reilly off in the first place:

I am SO looking forward, to the return of George Will, to FNC!!!!!

Make Fox News Great Again!

I love for Dana Perino to get a prime time FNC show.

For me, the choice is beyond obvious; the show to move to 8:00 is the Bret Baier hour, "Special Report." It is already -- by far -- the best hour on FNC every weekday. It is also the most under-produced show. Nobody at Fox has a higher ceiling than Bret Baier. (If you wanted to argue that it's Chris Wallace, I'd say okay but actually Chris Wallace is already among the top-level news stars in the nation.)

Re "The Path to 9/11" DVD being available: great news indeed. I watched the mini-series the first and only time it was broadcast, on back-to-back nights. It was astonishingly good, better than any movie I've seen on the subject, better than most movies on terrorism or any related subject. The segment on the events of 9/11, which occupies most of the second half of the series, is powerful and infuriating. I got choked up just watching it, especially in the scene showing the NYC firemen arriving at the twin towers and entering them, running bravely to their deaths.

I believe she's generally being referred to as "Moldylocks".

Fox just announced, they are moving "The Five" (so-named because, uh, its time slot was five o'clock pm ET) to the 9pm spot with Tucker Carlson sliding into the 8pm slot.

Bill O is no longer "on vacation." The "Killing O'Reilly" book by Bill O'Reilly with Martin Dugard will be hitting your supermarket shelves in July.

I was in Tucson about the time the miniseries came out and some friends were there, one of whom is a very nice lady but a clueless lefty.

The 911 commission report came up and she disputed some item in it (I forget what now). I went to the bookshelf and got a copy of the report. By utter chance I had a book mark in the page where the item under discussion was covered by the commission. I handed her the book and she she went to the couch, sat down, and read it. She was very quiet after that.

Those opportunities come up very rarely.

I ordered the DVD.

The "Killing" books are trash but O'Reilly has many many fans. I wrote an Amazon negative review of the "Killing Lincoln" book, which is full of errors. My lefty daughter (One of them) had given it to me for Christmas assuming, like all clueless lefties, that I must be an O'Reilly fan.

There must be 50 angry comments at my review accusing me of being a lefty, etc, etc.

Fox has made another mistake.

This is a beautiful tribute by Justice Clarence Thomas on Antonin Scalia. Just wow. And he said that Scalia was beginning to question Chevron deference. Wouldn't that have been fascinating to watch play out!

Hahahahahohoheehehehehahahahahaha!

You mean to tell me, that if a conservative dares to step off the Fox/O'Reilly/Hannity/Limbaugh/[Trump] reservation, that they risk being called "a lefty, etc, etc"?

Huh.

if a conservative dares to step off the Fox/O'Reilly/Hannity/Limbaugh/[Trump] reservation,

I was referring to O'Reilly's book. If you "step off " all those "reservations" yes, I'd call you a lefty or maybe a Bill Kristol deep state crony.

QSL cards. Hams (used to) send them in the mail to confirm a contact. As a kid in the 50s I had a box full. Novice class sent them to everybody, the "grown ups" of higher classes sent them to new states or new countries or new continents.

Not so these days. I have 1572 contacts in the last year and 5 QSL cards. I have my own stock of a hundred so I can send one back, if the guy wants one. 3 of them included SASEs, eager for my Ohio county or very low power contact proof.

IN, IL, VA, SC and Italy.

I think with the internet, setting up contests with 10 second contacts and hundreds of audible participants made it unremarkable that you've contacted anywhere, so there's hardly a point in a physical confirmation.
