"In addition, United has taken full responsibility for what happened on Flight 3411, without attempting to blame others, including the city of Chicago. For this acceptance of corporate accountability, United is to be applauded."
Do you think United settled on behalf of Chicago, releasing the city from liability, or do you think the lawsuit will continue?
Now that Mead and Althouse have seen the beauties of Utah, I wonder how they feel about Trump's executive order to review National Monuments and perhaps turn over millions of acres to oil and gas drillers?

It started as a bet with my youngest daughter. She bet me I couldn't live without carbs of any sort for 30 days. I weighed nearly 300 lbs. I kept at it for over six months and lost 50 lbs. My dr wanted me to lose ten more lbs before surgery. I lost 20 and another 5 just doing PT and not eating much. Still no carbs. You really don't miss carbs after awhile. Lovely carbs. Beautiful carbs. Going forward. Since I can now walk and move like I could 20 years ago and will most likely NOT have to have back surgery. The plan is to exercise more.

And the band played on....
I can't even comment on this for fear it's going to trigger some kind of NSFW porn-alert siren in the IT dept.

I figured she was trolling Laslo in the other post when she mentioned squirting breast milk on a Saint Bernard.
Wet pink is on the 2-d color wheel.
What, no reflections in the rain droplets? Ho hum.

My guess is it's over though Chicago might have paid some of the settlement but United took the blame.
Rhapsody In Green:
Any guesses as to the monetary amount of the settlement?
I heard on Lou Dobbs not long after it happened that he was hearing talk of an 8 figure settlement.

Wet pink is good.
So
After two years and a hip surgery I have lost nearly seventy lbs.
Might not mean much to you but I'm kinda chuffed.
Thought I'd share.
Rusty- congrats!
Way to lighten up, Rusty!

You mean simple carbs, not complex carbs, right? It is not possible to live without carbohydrates in some form.
