The worst deal is if you swallow the crown they are testing for fit.

They have a squeeze tube of Ipecac syrup to make you vomit the tooth back up.

4. THEY’D LIKE YOU TO STOP PULLING OUT YOUR OWN TEETH.
Owing to either fear of treatment or intoxication, a surprising number of people elect to grab their tool bag and go to work on their own throbbing molars. This is not a good idea. “This has happened to me multiple times,” says Safwan, a dentist who practices in the southeast. “They think that it's as simple as getting some alcohol in their system and grabbing the tooth with a pair of pliers. This always results in a broken tooth where the roots still remain in the gums. The patient ends up being in more pain than they started with and we dentists need more time to take these out.”

I've read that it's common for the Amish to pull their own teeth and of those of their neighbors and relatives with rotten teeth, even in young people. I don't imagine they use alcohol for anesthesia either. Yikes.

They don't mention how a dentist can identify your teeth as the ones that put the bite-mark into a woman's buttocks.

That must be Number Sixteen.

I am Laslo.

@Inga. The Amish lead the league in false teeth. It is not uncommon to see Amish with a full set before they are married. Nearly all have false teeth before they are 30.

It's an economic decision for them. Why spend all that money on a dentist when you can get a "once and done".

One thing that dentists don't keep secret.

= How frapping expensive they are.

I have a bridge that always comes loose requiring me to go back to the dentist and get it re-cemented. They glue it back in and sometimes within a week it comes loose eating a sandwich or something. They always take me in the same day when I call, and it's no charge, but I still have to miss work and drive there, and what if I'm on vacation? They claimed each time that they were using the strongest cement, but I thought that unlikely. I finally got fed up with it and went to Amazon to see if I could get some cement to do it myself. To my surprise there were many varieties available. I researched the differences and bought a two part kit for about $50 that could re-cement it many times and was considered the strongest type . Even if it was no better, it would be more convenient. I got it the next day. It was very simple to use, and the next time it came loose, I glued myself. That was two years ago and it's still tight despite many tough sandwiches. Even though the glue was expensive per ounce. it still would cost them far less than repeated visits. Were they that cheap or just billing my insurance each time, so not using the good stuff that would last?

They dropped my crown on the floor. Brushed it off, and glued it in!!

Veneers on upper teeth are the ticket for older guys. The old chipped teeth repairs become a thing of the past. And you are Hollywood ready. But it does cost 2,500.00
