Congrats Badgers! There is a theory here on MD sports boards that the committee accidentally reversed the MD/Wisc seeding, but I'm glad it worked out for you.
Great win for a fine program. I was impressed with how far the Badgers came last year, having graduated so much talent from the 2014-15 squad. Not from Wisconsin, but I can't help but root for the Badger basketball program most of the time they take the court.
OMG. The White Privileged Midwestern Style Team beat down the Philly Street Wise Team. This will require, at the least, Grief Counseling and Intense Racial Sensitivity Training.
By the way, the refereeing was lousy--way too many cheap calls on both teams, balanced by ignoring obvious violations. The Badgers were handicapped by having to sit their stars down until the last five minutes, when they went on a 15-5 run to win.
Nova's guards didn't play very smart, at the end of the game they kept driving into traffic and lost the ball on at least 2 or 3 of their last possessions.
Traditionalguy, Villanova is hardly "Philly Street Wise." They're the rich, preppy outsiders of Philly's Big 5. I'm thrilled that Nova lost, though. The Hawk will never die!
Though I had Villanova as the champion in two of my 10 ESPN brackets, I hadn't picked them past Wisconsin in four of the others.
I don't consider this an upset- I had sneaking suspicion that Villanova was over-rated all season, and Wisconsin was clearly under-rated by the committee. I thought Wisconsin deserved at least a 5 seed.
I think Wisconsin is a dark horse. I do have them in the final four on one of my brackets, and in the final 8 in 3 others.
The team that let me down this weekend, though, was Notre Dame. I basically split all the brackets between Notre Dame and West Virginia, but the brackets where WVU wins are all in the lower half of my results.
Other "upsets" to look for tomorrow are South Carolina over Duke, Michigan over Louisville, and Wichita State over Kentucky.
The NCAA's bias against the BIG Ten is coming to bite the better seeds in the ass. Northwestern played a good game against Gonzaga in addition to the Badgers knocking off the defending champs. The ACC has a glass jaw that's going to get broken again like last year.
"Other "upsets" to look for tomorrow are South Carolina over Duke, Michigan over Louisville, and Wichita State over Kentucky."
As to South Carolina over Duke, not going to happen. Louisville will have to play better than they've played lately to beat Michigan, as a Louisville fan, I'm worried about that game. I think KY will beat Wichita State but it's likely to be a tough win.
I'm a Big Ten guy (Mchigan) guy, so I always like to see when another B1G team does well in the tournament (except MSU that is). Congrats on a huge win.

I was going to congratulate Meadhouse on the win. Very exciting. Nova should have been called for traveling on their last possession.

What I want to know is where Frank Kaminsky went. He was my favorite player.
Duke sends its regards.
I came here to make sure that Wisconsin's win was noted! O. M. G. Go, Big Ten!
Go, Badgers.
Go, Purdue,
Go Big Ten
It's time, you're due.
""This is our bright, shining moment.""
No. It's their bright shining moment. Your living it vicariously. You didn't win shit.
Outstanding. Great win by a great team.

P.S., Nigel Hayes is the greatest.
"P.S., Nigel Hayes is the greatest."
Especially when he does his Michael Jordan "fake spin back" move on the baseline.
Nigel Hayes can sing! He also seems like a nice young man.
Kaminsky went to Charlotte were he is struggling to gain strength to be an effective pro.
@Rusty, that's cold.
Stinkin' Badgers.
Kill my bracket.
Kill my bracket.
C-I-L-L my bracket.
"No. It's their bright shining moment. Your living it vicariously. You didn't win shit."
True, but just think how vicariously great I shall be if Wisconsin beats Virginia, Duke, Gonzaga, and Kansas. Vicariously, in that order.
Nova's guards didn't play very smart, at the end of the game they kept driving into traffic and lost the ball on at least 2 or 3 of their last possessions.
A lot of us are deriving a lot of vicarious pleasure via Trump's presidency and I'm not tired of winning yet.
Villanova - My brackets thank you. Next up Baylor to beat Duke.

I won the passionate scorn of Rusty.
Ain't much, ain't nuttin' neither.
"Our?"
We are all stewards of all but our souls. Shut yer steward yapper and celebrate in our victorious domination of those inferior, on and in the court.

Don't blame the Badgers. Look in the mirror.
I hope you at least did not pick Minnesota. That was way too obvious.
4 straight visits for UW to the Field of 16. Longest stretch currently in play.

"This is our brief, shining moment." Fixed.
But enjoy anyway.
Speaking of winners, try to see a replay of Iowa's Cory Clark winning NCAA Wrestling @133lbs. That is how you do it.
Brief, shining moment. Thanks.
The person leading the brackets over at Yahoo has Wisconsin picked to win it all.
The fake spin back by Hayes won it. Great move.
Why Jay Wright didn't double team Hayes is a mystery.
Creighton beat WI but lost to Nova three times. Go figure.
I was very encouraged, I have to say, to see Wisconsin win. Go, Conference.
'Cuz Michigan's playing better than the Badgers right now. We're the best B1G team since the end of January.
I do fear Pitino and Louisville. (You can't really kill a vampire, can you?) I hope our seniors don't. Michigan is a 3 point underdog.
Congratulations MeadeHouse. Enjoy the win. No matter what, Wisconsin beat the best team in the nation.
What a game! I went to a sports bar to watch it, something I haven't done in a zillion years, and it was a blast. Go, Badgers!
"True, but just think how vicariously great I shall be if Wisconsin beats Virginia, Duke, Gonzaga, and Kansas. Vicariously, in that order."
Meade, No way. Kansas and Wisconsin will never play each other. The only question is who will lose first. I won't be surprised if KU chokes tomorrow.
True, but just think how vicariously great I shall be if Wisconsin beats Virginia, Duke, Gonzaga, and Kansas.
I don't think your Badgers will have to worry about the Cavaliers of Virginia. Sad end to a good season.
I'm pleasantly surprised that SC is still in it....
Go Pac-12! (it still feels weird to type that)
"Nigel Hayes can sing!"
That may be true, but it was Vitto Brown who did the song so well yesterday before the game.
I have the Badgers taking it all!! I always pick them, because Badger is my grandmothers maiden name!! Haha!!
... and now you have to face Florida. Go Gators!

Heard this line last night from my better half:
Villanova should have campaigned in Wisconsin.
"Villanova should have campaigned in Wisconsin."
LOL. Hillanova.

As if you couldn't tell, but I'm not a big sports fan.

May you get three of those four moments to celebrate....
