The Daily Mail and the New York Post report fake news on Neil Gorsuch.

They take a high-school yearbook blurb for fact, and the "fact" is that Gorsuch founded a club called "Fascism Forever."

That's either really embarrassing or outright evil. Either they don't have the common sense to detect a possible joke and they don't have the professionalism to check a fact before publishing OR they actively chose to get the rumor out there festering in the public mind and they knew they'd probably have to update and withdraw the assertion later.

Hey Rick, the most important fact is that they are rightist publications and people like you who try to distract from that fact

The DM is more tabloid than right but no one is distracting from the point it was not the left media that first made the report. My objection was to ARM's erroneous exoneration of the left by claiming the left media didn't pick it up. They did and many left wingers embarrassed themselves by repeating it.

you are just a pedantic buffoon.

This is what people say when people dare to consider evidence they prefer not be considered.

That has already been established, not in your favor.

Since I don't write for idiots your opinion doesn't mean much.

You don't read your own output? This would explain its pedantic ineptitude.

"Except you."

Exactly.

Rick seems to think he can run in circles faster and faster and we'll all just watch him and forget about everything else.LOL! Keep running Rick!

The police in Berkeley do not arrest progressives.

The police in Berkeley always arrest right wingers.

The police did not arrest the rioters in Berkeley.

Therefore the rioters were not right wingers.

"That is one of the most self unaware things I have ever seen posted in a comment."

Well start reading my gems. I developed a means of intense self-awareness that yields the opposite despite knowledge of the results and even in some cases the polar opposite producing process.

It's heavy. Very heavy.

Also, even when others lose an argument to you when online, to claim any victory instead of a resigned acceptance of masturbatory time wasting means YOU HAVE LEARNED NOTHING FROM LASLO.

HUMOR YOURSELF FIRST ONLINE PHYSICIAN!

I love how the Daily Mail started out first as part of the Murdoch Empire and now it is right up there with National Review as the holy standard of conservative thought.

Except the first part is a lie and the second part is only true if you think the Nazi party came from the right.

And watching ARM and the new sock puppets stroke each other off is gross.

Well, it keeps them occupied.

Well, yes: If you dis the EU or its refugee policy, you are inevitably "far-right" in mainstream media parlance. I remember Mark Steyn on the late, murdered Pim Fortuyn some years back, writing about "legions of gay, pot-smoking sociology professors stomping in their screamingly camp jackboots all over Europe." Fortuyn was a leftist, but he opposed Muslim immigration to the Netherlands, and that gets you the "far-right" label. In fact, it's practically the only thing that does, apart from wanting to leave the EU.

Always been the case.

I'll always refer to Father Coughlin from the 1930's. He is labeled as "right wing" because he opposed FDR and was an anti-Semite. He opposed FDR FROM THE LEFT and anti-Semitism isn't unusual on the Left.

Robert Reich believes the looters and rioters in Berkeley were Fascist Brownshirt (my words) types trying to trick the public in order to blame the left. He said he could not recognize one student among them.

Makes the mob applauding them and hiding them baffling, no?

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Awwwww.... poor you! We all know your reaction isn't half as strong when the right wing does it.

Wasn't it you who "reported" the fake news that Obama was wearing an ear piece at the 2008 convention?

That Jessica Valenti purposely posed to the side of President Clinton to show off her boobs?

It's great that your commenters get to have a host who's so petulant and partisan. Good job!

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

My, my. There are some real sensitive types here when it comes to rioting and the like.

Just imagine how they'd get about an anti-Trump reaction that appealed to "2nd amendment remedies."

By a public official, no less!

Poor Republicans! Poor, poor Republicans!

How unfair it must be for these snowflakes to put up with opposition so much more trivial and mild than what they like to flirt with when they're not in power.

So sad.

Funny, I missed the riots, burning, and assaults in the Reid/Angle race.

...and Reid isn't even a human.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Oh no! Riots! Oh no! Burning!

America is just a property. Not a place full of people whose voice has been gerrymandered into less political power than their numbers indicate.

Worry less about property and more about the lives you've ruined and the people you have contempt for.

Poor, poor, Ritmo! Who ruined your life -- The Man? Lulz

I just don't hate people as much as you do, "Fabio".

How's that whole Trump administration thing going to work out for you when he has to pretend not to hate those left behind but he's just catering to evil jerkoffs like you who do?

There was a brief interruption to our regularly scheduled right wing troll circle jerk. Cry me a river.

Who's life has been ruined at this point, besides Hillary's and the left wing rioters' victims?

That's funny, Ritmo! The other night you told Michael K to "Just die." I've said nothing about hate, sweetie -- you do on a weekly basis.

Anyone with enough brains to see two steps ahead and clearly understand that Puppet Trump is just doing President Bannon's bidding, and those of his business interests in the countries that actually attacked us like S.A. and Egypt instead of those we can cynically scapegoat in 7 other countries whose nationals haven't killed a single American in an act of terrorism.

Trump is already revealing himself to be a massive phony. He's doing this whole presidency thing for the sake of his implacable ego, and playing politics with national security while he's at it. A disaster in the making all around.

If you had an obsessive stalker like him let's see how long your patience would hold out.

Clearly the guy has nothing better to do. I just hope a speedy and relieving way out for him from this apparently very dreary existence he leads.

At least, I presume that stalkers and obsessives lead dreary existences. But YMMV.

So your ultimate hate was justified, Ritmo? Take care, R&B. The world isn't out to get you. You're a smart guy and I enjoy most of your posts, but don't let the online crap get under your skin. Inform us of your views -- as many of us enjoy your perspective, even if we rarely agree. Cheers.

I will follow the Progressive example and assault them. Can't give Fascists a platform and the "antifa" groups are Fascist in every possible way. Might burn down their house because, hell, this country is more than just possessions.

damikesc said...

Apparently, we made a mistake not lynching Obama. That's how we are SUPPOSED to handle political disagreements.

Jon Ericson said...

Aw, they're off cuddling on another thread.

Awwwww. There, there, now.

Just make it as funny as this

BTW, are you glad that you need Nazis in your voting bloc to get up to the ~30% approval rating Trump's currently enjoying?

I guess grabbing power (like p*sssy) while hating on the majority and never doing anything about an unpopular Congress - made possible through gerrymandering... I guess those things have their downsides.

Poor you.

That's so sweet, putting asterisks in (semi) dirty words.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Made ya think, huh Jon? ;-)

Bet you never heard the expression "chocolate starfish" before, did ya?

It might be possible to replace the entire word starfish with asterisk, come to think of it.

A really big asterisk. Huge.

You like to eat chocolate starfish Pedro?

Or do you just "destroy" them?

The daily mail and US News still have these stories up with no correction. You've got to wonder about your life-decisions when speculation about your motives ranges from gross incompetence to evil.

All this and my elderly left-wing aunt will waddle-in two weeks from now with a facebook re-post about how the new Supreme Court nominee is a fascist. Their work is done.

Rusty said...

Yes ritmo. Property.
The destruction of which not only costs the property owner but those that rely on them. The wealth spent on repairing the damage could have been used for much more profitable and socially beneficial things.
But, you know. 15$ an hour!
