The mob contingent, having never seen the inside of the library before, had to be enlightened.

I heard a rumor that those loud protesters disrupted the library on behalf of Breitbart.

Too bad he wasn't at Dartmouth in 2015. The pussies at Dartmouth punished no one for this riot.

I guess if you know you will get passing grades no matter what you do, there is no need to study.,

They're lucky. He looked ready to whup some loser ass.

Nowadays, anyone chanting a "people" political slogan is a loser. Anytime, anywhere. With a capital L.

Sorry losers, but 40 years of your selfish idiocy leave me with no other rational explanation for your behavior. Do you really expect anyone to take you seriously?

Oh, and in November ... you lost. Now go back to your drum circle.

Rock it!

Love it

Reminds of the guy who stood up to the tanks

you fascist fuckwits

how embarrassing, how shameful

to shout about how powerful you are

you are a mini-Trump

just as loud

but way more incompetent

and you are interrupting people who are trying to learn

so they can accomplish things

quietly and effectively

Ha! Never interfere with an Asian's studies.

The problem with the new style of "disruptive" protests is that they generally evince a deep lack of respect for others. Power to all the people who don't need to study???

I can't really see this as a winning message. If radicalism is interpreted as "f--k everyone who doesn't think like me", it is self-defeating.

When the LGBT community at Vanderbilt successfully drove Christian student groups off campus, they did it by joining groups they had no belief connection to and running for office then being denied the place on the groups' ballots. To strengthen their argument they also joined at least one ethnic student group of which they were not a member and did the same thing. That was the Chinese-American student group. A gay caucasian testified that he had served as president of the Chinese group. I remember because I laughed, thinking they probably thought to themselves, "Sure, white boy, go ahead and do all the work while we study,"

Reminds me of the Public Enemy song

"Fight the Library!"

Radio stations wouldn't play it.

Nobody bought it.

Fight the Library!
Fight the Library!
Fight the Libraries that be!

They had to rethink it.

Wow, the professoriate must be peeved. I hope they don't bring that guy up on disciplinary charges, which would be normal university behavior.

That's a good pronunciation of "Library" for someone whose first language is not English.

Contrast that with UW GRADUATE student Michael Davis at a protest last year:

"We wanted to come in the liberry". Dude, if you plan to protest at a library, and you are leading the protest, it's a good idea to learn how to pronounce "library". 1:50 of the video here:

Plus his parents were probably paying for the protesters' financial aid.

I hope he remembers them so that when they come to him some time in the future, misrepresenting their credentials for a job, he can make another good decision.

He was doing the protesters a favor by saving them from the wrath of his tiger mom.

...chanting slogans in Asian!

Note the last comment recorded on the video: When are you going back to Beijing?"

Didn't sound very welcoming to this immigrant.

Because "Asian" is a language.

And the college administration which has taken this persons money, a lot of it, like the administration for Berkeley, sit aside and condone the protest action by their silence. A class action suit to recoup tuition seems viable.

Q. I am a foreign person from abroad visiting the United States, and I would like to know how to speak so I can ''fit in'' with the locals.

A. This depends on where you are. Suppose somebody says ''hello'' to you:

CORRECT RESPONSE IN THE MIDWEST: ``You can make a bet on that! It is not presenting any problems!''

CORRECT RESPONSE IN URBAN AREAS: ``Are you talking? To me? Forget all about it, bagful of dirt!''

CORRECT RESPONSE IN THE SOUTH: ``I am fixing to experience a hankering for a pig organ such as chitlings, you all!''

If he is a foreign student he is probably paying full tuition. They dont need to be attracted by the various discount schemes natives do.

Thats why universities love the foreign students.

If the pen is mightier than the sword, where else would you go to speak truth to power, man?

buwaya said...

To add, one reason the Muslim visa thing is so sensitive to liberals is that it is bad PR for their marketing efforts for their strategic industry, universities.
Unlike free speech and PC controversies, this stuff gets reported abroad.
Fewer foreign students can really hurt their livelihoods.

As the gap between Asian and American black and hispanic and now even white SAT scores grows wider every year, is this moment capturing cause, or just another effect?

Loud, disruptive protests in libraries. Is there any better way to throw fear and confusion into the hearts and minds of Trump supporters?....
The awful thing is that it is more socially acceptable to join such a protest than to speak out against it......I think Brady has gotten far more bad press for his friendship with Trump than Kaepernick has gotten for dissing the National Athem. The respectable opinion in America is disreputable.

Go ahead, keep making asses of yourselves. Keep destroying the Democratic Party brand with your violent and disruptive tactics. You're not defeating Republicans, you are defeating Democrat Party and laying the groundwork for a party Soros wishes to take it's place.
