I love when real lefties outflank the Hillary-Clinton-level lefties.

Here's Ted Rall bitching about the Women's March:
A good indication that the Women's March got coopted into a Democratic boo-hoo Hillary/Cory Booker-in-2020 pep rally was that the speakers were limited to celebrity millionaire liberal Democrats like Michael Moore, Ashley Judd and Gloria. Had this been a militant action (i.e., one that might frighten Trump and the GOP), or a coalition of liberals who welcomed and respected their leftist allies rather than merely wanting to vampirize their righteous anger and energy into midterm votes, the roster of speakers would have included people calling for revolutionary change and action outside of the existing system. There would also have been some radical activists you'd never of who do important work.

Celebrity liberalism and pleas to vote Democratic are where the Left goes to die....

Yes, I'd love to see some of Ralls' revolutionaries out there.

Hilarious. They are creating a Trump dynasty. Maybe Ivanka in 2024.

The last time I read Ted Rall he was pushing the idea of having political officers in the US military to ensure that the troops and officers were loyal to the regime. You know, a political officer who would submit reports on the ideological soundness of units and approve or disapprove promotions, like the Bolsheviks and the Nazis had.

Yeah, Trump lives in fear of Trigglypuff.

Time to start referring to all these protesters as merely "Pavlov's Dogs of the Left". They don't do this on their own. It's all in response to a well-organized, well-funded operation not to benefit them, but their overseers.

Not true! There was at least one vicious psychopathic murderer who's only friends with celebrity millionaire "liberal" Democrats

It's nice that they stopped pretending it wasn't a Leftist march, though, and are just arguing about how Leftist it was/should have been. The complaint here is that it was a Democrat rally, not a Leftist activist rally.

The official line was that it was a women's march, and was to show that lots of people across the political spectrum shared their concerns about women's (& LGBTQ's) issues.

That fiction was a little hard to maintain once they publically disinvited pro-life groups, and especially when it seems like all the featured speakers were Dem partisans...but it's nice they stopped pretending the march represented "all women."

Ted Rall is an idiot, but I repeat myself. Rall is calling for terrorism, such as the Weather Underground. I'm pretty sure we will see some of that at some point, but it isn't going to empower the people they think it will. The proles chose Trump, you think they are going to arise against him?

Total misreading of the situation.

As a Republican, the only thing I fear more than militant actions is being thrown in that there briar patch.

Geez, if I was staging a right wing rally hoping to actually achieve anything I don't think I'd go out of my way to invite extremist nutjobs who I didn't agree with and who would only make the whole thing look like a circus. Maybe Rall can organize his own rally?

Inclusivity is fine and all, but you let enough different viewpoints in and the whole thing becomes mush.

He is totally right. This march was as disconnected from voters as possible and was an obvious prop to drive a narrative which has been summarily shattered. Everyone pretty much agrees the Womyn's march was a compete fail.

I hope to god the left does this. Please try to frighten Trump and the GOP. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get all violent and revolutionary. Please act outside the system. Burn some more downtown buildings. Throw some more bricks.

If you leave your little urban cloisters with this shit we will fuck you up though.

Oh shit. The answer is because I supported Bush hence I caused it. All of it. Okay then, let's commence with the killing.

Praise be Allah.

Insular. Not a few women, men, and babies were sacrificed for the Left's political progress. Let's see if the Republicans are principled and less isolated. Trump has demonstrated an authentic affinity with the People and our Posterity.

There's a distinction to be made between Lefties and Gentry Liberals. For the Left, Hillary and Trump were two sides of the same coin. Gentry Liberals like dressing up as street-fighting radicals, but they're actually quite bourgeois.

Revolutionary change, eh. Violent, I suppose. Where is the revolutionary cannon fodder supposed to come from? The workers are going Trump, blacks are stuck in blue ghettos. Illegals? That would be invasion, not insurrection. I think it is time for Rall to put himself on the line...

Keep it up and the Dems will be a regional minority party. Nothing I enjoy more than being lectured by such as Ashley Judd and Madonna. As Peggy Noonan (like a stopped clock Peggy is right twice a day or so) put it recently, a good bit of the country is simply tired of being condescended to by its inferiors.

Childlessness And Mass Female Hysteria
January 26, 2017 by CH
The Jan 21, 2017 Bitter Bitch March can be explained, in part, as the mass hysteria of childless women seeking the drama in their lives that their childlessness denies them. Reader Days of Broken Arrows writes:

Women are psychologically built to deal with drama, because nothing is more drama-inducing that having to deal with a baby or a toddler.

But if there are no kids, women still have the psychological need for drama. So they create it.

Yeah, guys like Bob Avakian, who think that in spite of the fact that the Maoists murdered more of their own citizens than any other regime in the history of the planet, they're basically just misunderstood.

In discussions with some of my coworkers who still serve with the Army Reserve, the military came very close to doing just that with their EEO personnel. They say the EEO personnel effectively outrank a unit's CO, all in the name of political correctness. I'm hoping this is one the the things that our new SecDef will address soon.

"many more of the demonstrators were Bernie Sanders progressives, socialists and communists..."

Ted Rall should thank the gods every day that the media industry shields Americans from the views of the Left's extremist elements, the ones making up a growing part of the Democratic Party's animated base.

If the left was scrutinized as closely as the right, which has its own nuts, the next rally could fit in Rall's living room.

Hillary Clinton will probably not live long enough to win a future election. They need youth, such as the Massachusetts Representative named Seth Moulton. He is an really good liar with great credentials.

As tempting as it is to wish revolutionary violence upon those idiots like Rall who idolize radical revolution, the plain fact is that old Red bastards rarely die from the street violence and terrorism they fantasize about. It's always the young dumb and easily led who get shot by cops, or who manage to blow up a couple nobody-in-particulars who have the bad luck to be in the general vicinity of where revolutionary idiots think the authorities might be found.

Actually, Ted Rall, ANSWER is where the Left goes to die, and “militant action” wouldn’t frighten Trump and the GOP; they dream of bashing the skulls of dopey violent protesters in the name of law and order, and then asking ordinary Democrats which side they're on.

Liberals seem to be eating their own elsewhere. In Harrisburg, Pa., the march was briefly hijacked by a person of color who took the microphone and urged the marchers to commit civil disobedience and risk arrest by marching in the streets instead of the sidewalks:

Here's what happened next:

The white man next to me swiftly snatched the megaphone out of my hands and said, "This is not yours. You can't do this."

The white women around parroted him, saying that this was a "peaceful" march and we "are not doing THAT". Incredibly frustrated, I darted down the steps, shouting expletives and the occasional "You aren't even doing anything!"

She is depressed:

I, a black queer woman, was cut off because I said something that was born of my experience and was an attempt at a great show of unity with greater impact.

I was cut off because of unconscious bias and fear cut from the cloth of anti-blackness and was unapologetically made out to be divisive, angry and hateful.

The majority who attended the march decided it's possible to protest effectively while remaining in a bubble that blindly obeys law enforcement and keeps to the standards that oppressive systems set for us to protest within.

They are scared enough for their own rights to show up to a march, but not angry enough to confront and overcome their fears of breaking the rules, and if they aren't willing to do that for themselves, they certainly won't for anyone who has spent their entire life being oppressed.

I find it amusing that because people were not inclined to follow her, they must be bigots and homophobic.

YoungHegelian said...

Think about that statement. Why should anyone else care what is "born out of another's experience"? Why should we & how can we trust that giving someone else's experience isn't just one more way for the grifters to pull the wool over our eyes so that we don't see their morality play for what it is: the Will to Power.

Contained in that one sentence above is a whole freight train load of the modern Left's metaphysical baggage.

SukieTawdry said...

What kind of "revolutionary change and action outside of the existing system" does Rall have in mind? I'm interested specifically in knowing what kind of militant action would frighten Trump and the GOP (the executive branch, after all, has significant muscle backing it up). In the grand scheme of things, most of what the far left does is the equivalent of piddling on the rug.

@ Fred Drinkwater: Yes I know that those who agree with Trump's policies have jobs and can't spend all their time demonstrating. I also know that if you demonstrated peacefully -- as of course you would -- the MSM would ignore you. But it's fustrating to see ONLY opposition, when Trump is doing what his supporters voted him into office to do.

Not a Ted Rall fan, but he makes some good points which echo, but put in better words, what left me scratching my head about the whole thing:

It was a moment. A show of hands: "I'm against Trump," these women (and men) told the world...

...Women's Marchers didn't issue any demands, much less posit a desire to achieve political power....

If you don't demand anything, how will you get it?

If you don't pose a threat to the establishment, why should they feel scared?
