But as a boyhood White Sox fan can attest, enjoy the moment Cubs fans. Really enjoy it, because now you're just another good team who won the World Series.
Wonderful day for the Cub fans. The team came through for them. Now they can relive it for 100 years of good men telling their sons about the players, like Henry V's St Crispian's Day speech promised.
I thought for sure the epic meltdown was going to happen, but they pulled it off. I'd feel worse for Cleveland if LeBron hadn't worked his magic this summer. I grew up with a family from Chicago. They said they were all crying last night.
You know what annoys me though. I have a few fb friends that say absolutely nothing sports related all year and then make a really big deal about the game last night, even celebrating with a live post. Probably annoys me more that they're women. Gives us all a bad name. Somehow they're never around when I'm posting about my fantasy team.
dust bunny said It's been a year of the unexpected, Brexit, Dylan's Nobel, the Cubs win and now who is more unexpected, Trump or Clinton? Well if we're lucky the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, anytime before one of them is sworn in would be good.
Great series and game 7. Always great to watch hitting beat pitching. And more errors in that game than in a spring training game. Pitching and defense win championships but not last night.

So Back To The Future was only off by a year. Not bad.

That was a fun game!
A Game Seven loss -- in extra innings! -- would have been an Epic Tragedy that would only have increased their revered Brand of Futility.
But as CWJ points out "now you're just another good team who won the World Series."
Yep.

I approve of your use of time.
Good game. Good team.

This Cubs fan is good with that. Let's just play ball and have fun. Enough of the suffering.
A little "inside KC" here, but has there ever been a luckier ballclub jumper than Ben Zobrist?
Here's to Joe Strain, where ever you are!!!!
tradguy wins the thread. Anyone who can link Agincourt to baseball has my respect.

A former diehard Indians fan would like to congratulate the Cubs on their hard fought World Series victory.
Feel sorry for diehard, long suffering Indians fans, but at least the Cavs won the NBA championship this year.
Cubs win, cubs win! Harry Caray can now truly rest in peace ...
