I didn't want to be too picky after noting the trim. But, they desperately need to be redone. It's beyond the point of aesthetics, they're functionally worn out.
And, since the door is open, both rugs look cheap. Especially the one nearest to the camera. Not that Meadhouse needs fancy silk rugs (even though they are actually very durable, and some are fairly affordable), but something a bit nicer than what we see here seems like a good idea for folks w/ average incomes.
For the record, I think having an shabbily maintained and poorly furnished living environment is not serene.
IMHO, things that are not maintained and are not well made are annoying. Even normal folks can afford paint. And, floor finishing isn't a big deal, have it done when you're out of town. What's so hard about picking up some good rugs? Even if nowhere in Madison sells them, it can be fun to pick them up when travelling (incl abroad), and then have them shipped back. But, if you go big dollar, make sure you're a knowledgeable shopper. Don't get played.

Serenity, Now!
Meade,
After proper prep, a little Satin Impervo would get that molding back to where it should be.
Movie directors can't read Dobermans.
The threatening Doberman scene has a friendly Doberman every time.
Love the quartersawn white oak floors.

The wonderful thing about Zeus is that he will love you regardless which candidate you decide to vote for.

PBJ, show us on the doll where the furnishings touched you. Playing snobby richie? Floor looks fine.
