People need to recall that Rick Perry was indicted by the County Attorney in Austin for the felony of doing his job. Case dismissed but with a high personal cost. The Dems specialize in personal destruction.
"Chuck said... The greatest mystery of the 21st century is, to me, the notion that people will appear on Dancing With the Stars, and that other people will watch it, and Trump sucks."
I don't watch much TV to begin with and never watched Dancing with the Stars, never watched Trump on his apprentice show or any of those other fake reality shows.
But...that was pretty cute. Perry did well.
If Perry or Romney had broken out of their 'uptight, stick up the butt, scripted to within an inch of their lives' political personas once in a while, they might have gotten a better reception from the public. More real and approachable.
Rick Perry was three weeks out of back surgery, and had been finding a way to fight the wildfires burning the entire state of Texas, when he made his debate debut. Obama was being a petulant prick, refusing to release Federal emergency funds to help fight the fires. He wouldn't even come look at the wildfires, preferring to stand on the border, mocking Americans, saying that we wanted a moat with alligators in it. He was insisting the border had never been safer. He's lucky he didn't take a bullet to the head, fired from across that border - bullets had been hitting buildings in El Paso for some time, as the drug wars raged inches from the US.
Cut Rick Perry some slack. Obama would have been crying like a little girl with similar challenges. Instead, he was displaying his Inner Asshole, heartlessly letting peoples' livelihoods and property go up in smoke. He was punishing Texas for being Texas. Can't wait till that comes back to bite his sorry ass.
Rick Perry was a competent, job creating machine as a Guv. I miss him. Fortunately, we have another good one.
Perry looked happy. He obviously lives for the approbation from others. His facial expressions during the first judges rant were interesting. You saw him take it a little to heart until the crowd jumped in on his side. He also couldn't catch his breath afterwards. I would venture was having an anxiety attack and it had to do with the anticipated judging.

My wife told me when it was Maureen McCormick's turn to dance, thinking I might like it. I told her to call me when it was Jan Brady's turn.
Nice look for him, I think.

He's a better dancer than he was a presidential candidate.
But the dance was the quick step, something with which every politican has experience.
Never watched the show. Don't plan on starting. But that dance was fun to watch. Perry seemed more approachable than he did as a politician.
The first judge is a twit.

Missed his true vocation.
Not much quick to the quickstep.
Frat boys rule in Texas.

Agree with Chuck and enjoyed Curious George channeling Chuck.

Rick Perry would make a great president.

His wife looks like Jennifer Lawrence.
I see youtube has taken the video down.
Seems very human, does Rick Perry. I'm sorry he didn't go farther.
