In the future: Wheelchairs for everybody.
The video is from Nissan. I'd like to assume it's really only a promotion of the technology for self-driving cars. But the linked article — via Drudge — seems to take it seriously... at least as a novelty for restaurants accommodating people waiting in line.

Wheelchairs are kinda fun, if you don't really need one.Everywhere you go, there is a place to sit.
But if we're too fat now as it is....wow.
American sit too much. While waiting in line they should be given hand weights to pump.
But I'm sure Hillary would appreciate....
Ohooo... that was mean.
WALL-E!
I would hate this. I sit around work too much already that I take the longest route to the water cooler that I can.
And I'm sure the chair will work great until someone starting stringing fishing line at roughly neck height. What do you call auto asphyxiation when it involves a chair?
Back in the 60s MAD Magazine ran a piece about the growing use of "scooters" in the US. It got to the point where we were all like the passengers in the spaceship in WALL-E, and then we were easy pushovers for a horde of hungry-looking, wiry Chinese. Literally pushovers: we had mutated to be like those inflatable bop-em toys with no feet.
This is so stupid, I can't react.
