The Monuments to Man Gods called Pharoah were to honor his control over.. wait for it...the Weather and rainfall. He did this by aligning ritual acts with the heavens' stars. That was the Hoax that Ruled the people. And it did well.
But the people needed work to keep them from leaving or rebelling because there was no work from harvest time to planting time after flood time. So why not build something. Maybe Trump Tower Luxor shaped like Washington Monument, which they must have copied.
The mysterious Transamerica Pyramid, nearly twice as tall as the "Great" Pyramid of Giza - who built it, and why? How long did it take them? What powers its mystical lights? How many dried out dead people are in it? How much does it cost to rent the 48th floor conference facility?

Great new hologram for the dollar bill. An all seeing Eye of Osiris atop a moving Ponzi scheme pyramid.
What "mystery of the pyramids." They're big piles of rock. Really big piles of rock, quite impressive engineering, but where's the mystery?
"I think you solved the mystery of the pyramids."
Piles of rocks with dried-out dead guys in them.

If you're gonna go all wonky with regular old platonic solids, go full wonk. Pyramids ain't that cool compared to the rest of 'em.
