When I voted in the Massachusetts primary, in a town that is probably 90% registered democrat, the only candidate in either party who had signs posted outside the polling place was Ben Carson. There are people who love him.
His CV is filled with neurosurgical accomplishments. Most people would give up their first child for such accomplishments. Unfortunately, I don't see how that translates to President.
A great man who ran because he thought he should. I understand the impulse not to vote for him. I do not understand the idea that he should not have run. It was his to decide.
Gentle Ben reports his final 15.5 million in expenditures of donated money went 1.5 million to salaries, travel and advertizement, with the other 14 million going into the hands of Advisors.
If Ben takes advice like that, he is either a very dumb deal maker or he gets most of the money back for his own benefit.
"Ultimately, if you accept the evolutionary theory, you dismiss ethics, you don't have to abide by a set of moral codes, you determine your own conscience based on your own desires. You have no reason for things such as selfless love, when a father dives in to save his son from drowning. You can trash the Bible as irrelevant, just silly fables, since you believe that it does not conform to scientific thought. You can be like Lucifer, who said, 'I will make myself like the Most High.'" -- Some Clown
I like Dr. Carson immensely. I respect him even more.
However, he seems to lack the personal traits needed to be a politician. In other words, he is too beholding to the truth, as he sees it, to ever win a national office.
Hopefully, we will elect the lesser of disingenuous politicians to POTUS. Carson simply cannot compete with these people and deal with the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party (i.e., the MSM).
He should start in Congress not go right to the presidency. Or become mayor first, then move up. Get some experience in govt, then try for the big seat. I"m envisioning whoever becomes president appointing him to a govt position. Because he is actulaly a great resource.

I don't love him but my 90 yr-old mother loves him and I love her so, for her, I was planning to vote for him. It got too late too early.
Those people are wise. He's a very admirable man who has no business running for President.
A decent man and smart, I think, which sadly, fails to qualify one for the presidency, as we see from the clown show/debates.
Yeah, that about sums it up. He's s smart guy, and smart enough to understand that too.
Pretty much right.
Good man - had no business running.

He'd be a great VP or Surgeon General.

Three syllables short of a Bye-Ku.
