At the Democratic Townhall Debate...

... it's too late for me, but feel free to talk about it.

ADDED: "Debate" was the wrong word, of course. The candidates came out one by one. This allows each candidate to attempt to look as good as possible and not face any pushback or contradiction. Meek citizens offer practiced questions with appropriate respect, then shut up and accept whatever speech the candidate plugs in for the response.

the had a debate?

If there was a debate, it was covered up by the return of the X-Files. Which actually makes sense.

It's on now.

Take a look at the background design behind the candidate and Chris Cuomo: The colors and design are directly out of a North Korean political rally! Notice the colors, the design, the star -- look like something from Pyongyang!

Did you watch the first episode? They had a long montage sequence of explaining the expansive global conspiracy. Bush made several appearances, no Obama at all. It's all the Republicans, no Democrats. Such a conspiracy should be easy to fix, as everyone in power the last 7 years apparently haven't been a part of it.

I am watching World War II in Color (the Battle of Stalingrad.) I need something more upbeat that Hilary, Bernie and whoosis.

Bernie wants to be able to sue gun companies but not gun shop owners because, I guess, gun shop owners vote but gun companies don't.

Chris Cuomo has an amazing body and fab suit.

His ass is bubblelicious.

Hot fucking man.

tits.

Original Mike said...

When did this debate get scheduled? Is this to aid Hillary because she's floundering?

Unknown said...

@Paddy, yes I did, and I noticed the numerous Bush references, but to be fair, most of the rubbish used to support the alleged conspiracy seemed to be liberal issues, and then there was a rather glaring Obama interview in the mix as well.

Original Mike said...

O'Malley just came out with his shirt off. (kidding)

traditionalguy said...

He's stripping now.

Sammy Finkelman said...

I think I will only be able to get the transcript. It is apparently on CNN, starfting at 9 pm (Eastern?) It wasn't mentioned on the CBS Evening News, which only mentioned that Obama came close to endorsing her, and that's she's now within 1 percentage point of Bernie Sanders in an Iowa poll.

PB said...

Here's my current thesis:

Hillary's current campaign activities, including this debate, are merely going through the motions. The FBI case is so devastating to Hillary and her underlings that the FBI, DOJ and Obama have back-channeled to Hillary that it's time to end the campaign and they might go a little easier on them, but they'll still have to serve some jail time. Thus, Hillary's coughing fit and descriptions of her being tired are the pretext for her to drop out due to health reasons. Simultaneously, it's been made known to others that they should prepare to run. This is why Bloomberg has expressed his willingness to spend a boatload of his own money.

Original Mike said...

Well, his shirt's still on but his jacket is off.

Original Mike said...

Ooh, O'Malley just told a joke nobody got.

I watch debates on twitter.

Reduces cringe factor immensely.

F said...

Sounds to me as if O'Malley would be a good Secretary of Veterans Affairs in a Republican administration.

Humperdink said...

If O'Malley would stop pandering, he would be speechless. Tough to watch. Easy to turn off.

eric said...

O'Malley says we are the only species on the planet without full employment.

I'm not sure how to comment on that.

Big Mike said...

Not having cable spares me the temptation to look, if only to find out what bulimics go through.

But even so, don't you think she looks tired?

F said...

When O'Malley is asked a question he gazes into his questioner's eyes with such intensity you have to wonder if his grandpappy was a rattlesnake.

Funny mannerisms! I've thought all along that he was running for VP; now I think he's running for weirdo of the Democrat Party.

F said...

Wow! Hillary made a great entrance! Someone's been slipping her pep pills!

F said...

She's Obama's "real friend." I just threw up a little.

F said...

Hillary is NOT Ginger Rogers

Big Mike said...

@F, see what I mean?

Original Mike said...

God, she's annoying.

Original Mike said...

Will any questioner be allowed to ask about the recent revelations concerning her emails?

Original Mike said...

She has a 40-year record of going after income inequality (her own).

F said...

People who support her probably love her as much as I dislike her.

Good grief, does anyone really think Sanders will get the nomination? Really. How many blacks and Hispanics are going to vote for a 70 year old socialist from Vermont?

Blacks and Hispanics make up 30% of the Democrat electorate and they determine who gets the primary votes in the South.

Sanders will pick up the College Crowd and the SWPL's and that's it.

"Minneapolis Muslims are on the front lines of protecting their children from radicalization." Another effing lie from the woman who would be Pander-in-chief.

OK, I'm getting angry now.

David said...

Pretty much the usual number, once his opponent is a Republican.

Only watched Hillary!
well, as much of Hillary! as I could stomach.....that voice....ouch

were the two other candidates so pepped up on uppers?
did it appear that the two other candidates had been fed the questions before the townhall?
was the entire townhall a CNN sponsored advertisement for the wonderful mess of Hillary Clinton?????

Well, no, it's true. There is a group there.

Of course, that means that that is > the front line.

Nobody needs to prevent their children, or at least nobody needs to organize to prevent their chldren, from joining ISIS, in New Hampshire.

The problem there is heroin.

When nobody is doing drugs, there is no need for drug education, or at least to make special effort for it. When nobody's traveling to Somalia to join a terrorist group, there's no need for an organization to form to try to prevent that.

...O'Malley says we are the only species on the planet without full employment.

Horses that can't work go to the glue factory. That's why there's full employment for horses. Chickens that don't pull their wait generally get killed. Birds are free, I guess, but all work for their food. I've got to check the transcript.

And in his administration, the full job-killing power of the federal government will be deployed to get the rest of them out of the labor force, on the dole, and voting Democrat.

And then theer > are unemployed animals:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/05/03/a-byproduct-of-legalized-marijuana-in-oregon-unemployed-police-dogs/

“It’s kind of sad,” Deputy Chief Brett Johnson told the Times. “Nobody wants to see a dog lose its job.”

The problem is that the dogs do not disntnguish between now legal marijuana and llegal herpoin, so suppose someone has both marijuana and heroin, a lawyer could claim that the dog was alerted by the marijuana, making that (if we suppose the marijuana was the reason) a search without probable cause and the heroin inadmissible as evidence.

The dogs may be used in counterfeiting cases or where something is believed to have been carried across state lines. They will not be killed, so they are unemployed.

during the debate... hillary most likely revealed she had a lobotomy
...and bernie revealed he's a 3000 yr old fossil... with extreme dementia, senility, and advanced alzheimers disease...

I'm pretty confident Trump will crush both of them. hillary seems like the weakest...
but from what I know so far, she seems to be back in the lead over bernie now.
....there is so much baggage on hillary... and with the email scandal/FBI investigations I don't know how dems even consider her electable.

...and the best part is... the worst of her emails is yet to come out, or so I heard.

Some preliminary responses to O'Malley:

1. We're not really humans, we were placed here by a dark galactic Overlord, and full employment
to him means servitude. Think about it, man.

2. Why don't we have wounded vets come back and work in bear-suits? Take Nature's jobs

3. Sometimes, when a man comes out of the gym at dusk, he stops and listens to the crickets, nodding to himself: 'Full-employment'

Chris N said...

Come on, trolls, you can do better.

No need for subterfuge. Garage is totally open and gets a response pretty much every time.

I was waiting for somebody in a coffee shop lined with books and I picked one up on Marxism. It turns out that they don't define hunting or gathering as work. So at least we know that O'Malley is not a doctrinaire Marxist, just a rhetorician with a weak, at best, grasp of economics.

tim in vermont said...

A debate that is not tightly scripted beforehand is the sign of a party in "disarray." One thing the Democrats have, it's party discipline. "Here's the shit sandwich, start eating!"

Bret Rosenberg, who identifies himself as a janitorial supervisor and undecided, asked Hillary a question but begins by addressing “Secretary Sanders…Secretary Clinton…oh, sorry.”

The crowd laughed and Hillary said, “That’s OK.”

The rattled young man then gave away the secret: “I can see why they gave you this question."

LOL, lap it up Dems, lap up all the little specks of shit around the sandwich they are shoving down your throat! Your candidate is afraid to be asked a genuine question! I know, I know, it's a sign of strength!

Yes, it did. And did you hear her answer? The dude said his generation wasn't thrilled about her, and mentioned her dishonesty. She said she has 10 high school students volunteering for her, and other young people, so she's happy about that.

She didn't even address the dishonesty. Nothing about being a lying, cheating sack of shit who gets people killed.

It must be huma-iliating to be doing so much talk for "free".

So sounds like Bernie had his "Mondale moment"..but my sense is along with so many rules gone out of fashion, that one may have too for a good many.

I'm reluctant to watch all this given Titus' summary.
