I see you're ready for tonight's freeze. I still have things to move in.

Turned on the heat yesterday. I finally gave in. I have been keeping a fire going, I admit, but when it got to the thirties, I gave in.

I do not know that this "rent an air force" in Syria represents a serious alliance between Iran and Russia. It may be just that Iran is spending some of their money from "the Iran deal" on up to date aircraft and munitions from the Russians, and Putin is using the opportunity to get his pilots battlefield training and expend some obsolete munitions while giving his friend Barack a black eye in the bargain. It's the kind of thing he would do. Effective, and does not cost him much. In fact, he would be making money.

We will see if these SU-34's shortly show up with Iranian markings and pilots after they complete flight training update.

Of course, for the U.S., Israel, Turkey, and others, I do not know that the situation is much better if it is just Iran with Russian weapons in Syria and Lebanon rather than Iran and Russia.

Spanish Civil War redux, but hey, that turned out great in the long run!

To my knowledge, Obama is the first president to brag about a nuclear proliferation treaty.

Heat not on in the house -- it was 60 inside this morning. Not too bad. Not there very long before I leave for work and absorb energy, lizard-like, for the time at home tonight.

The Canadian air is all the way down intp Georgia today...72 days and 45 nights. You Wisconsin guys are spoiled with it all summer, but we love the 4 weeks we get.

I'm kind of in the mood for a salad now.

Or ribs and fries.

Such a close call.

We haven't turned the heat on yet. And we sleep with the windows open.

September's Pea / Lettuce / Mustard Green plantings have all taken, though they're not growing so much as if I put them in in Spring. Should I be adding extra fertilizer?

Mentioned earlier that I started a new job at a local eatery. Told the owner, who's an old neighbor, that I'd like to use his work as a Paid Internship towards a change in career.

Got my first Good Yelp Review after having had dealt with something over the telephone while fighting off a lot of Drunk White Kids last week (Tufts vs Bowdoin - Rich White MA kids, vs Rich White Maine Kids. Not a huge fan of College Football here, but will go MA over ME anytime.).

Restaurant Owner, who originally said that I was Over Qualified, actually called me an Asset, after that review.

Kind of feeling proud.

Yeah, I was a little sick the day I did it and was suffering a chill. When I went to the hot tub to warm up, I gave in. Now that I am feeling better, I probably wouldn't have done it yet, but we are looking at a hard frost tonight, so I am not going to turn it off.
