"This is a slippery slope when the government starts telling parents whether or not their teenagers can get a sun tan."

"You are much, much more likely to sunburn at the pool or the beach. People feel good when they propose this stuff, but in reality it really doesn’t accomplish what they’re trying to accomplish."

The government should issue a license to tan. Like a driver's license, teenagers 16 or older could get the license after passing a training course and tanning test. Remember, don't drink and tan, always have a designated tanner when you party.

Meh, more busibodies. Walker should triumphantly veto this nonsense.

Because everything else the government does is done so well.

That's gotta be from the Onion. Nice try, Ann- not gonna fall for it!

Sen. Fred Risser has a 100% approval rating from Wisconsin Advocates of Planned Parenthood, and from NARAL. Sen Risser has blocked bills requiring parental notification for minors seeking abortion.

The kids are going to do it anyways.

We should give them courses on how to do it safely.

Wait a minute, are we talking use-of-guns, sexual behavior, or tanning?

Fred Risser is an old geezer who should have retired years ago.

Governor Walker, veto this bill.

Of course it does. They feel good. Mission accomplished.

I have a better idea...why don't you vote him out. You've had 13 chances.

The trouble started with intransitive verbs.

Interesting. So he believes that it's OK for a young teenaged girl to get an abortion on her own but not a suntan. I really have a hard time understanding that kind of mindset.

I've tried!! Alas, my vote only counts once.

Sen Risser does not think that underage white girls should be allowed to look Hispanic or black.

Well, no worries. You would still get a Fred Risser. It might be a young Fred Risser, or a female Fred Risser, or a gay Fred Risser, or a black Fred Risser. But you would get a Fred Risser.

Strike that. No way your district would elect a black Fred Risser.

I like seeing tan lines on young women.

I don't necessarily like tan lines, but if I am seeing them that usually means something good.

Tanning yourself will not cause skin cancer so long as you're drinking enough soda.

I am always willing to apply suntan lotion to young cheerleaders.

It is always important to get the inner thigh.

Attention to detail.

Slippery slope indeed.

It's a slippery slope? I'd say we're pretty far down the slope by the time we get here.

@Tim: "I'd say we're pretty far down the slope by the time we get here."

Nah, we're at the bottom already.

In Prog America, the burden of proof is on people who want to be free from gov interference, not on gov to justify interference.

There are few worse moments in America than when a Cheerleader asks you where is the lube, and you don't have any.

That is why cars have glove compartments.

It's like the tanning salon tax in Obamacare. Only whites are affected. Risser is enhancing his bona fides with the minority base.

Your teenage daughter can get a taxpayer-funded abortion, without your even being informed, in the same states where she can't use a tanning bed.

David said...

It is mot a slippery slope. You are already at the bottom when you are doing that.

And what Gabriel said.

Apparently, you're not doing it correctly.

What's next? Will minors need Parental consent for abortions?

Obamacares. What did people expect? Sacrificial rites are mandatory.

Can we get this engraved over the doorways of every government building? Or better yet, flashing neon signs.
