When Sandra Day O'Connor watched porn on the internet, she "lowered her head, squinted slightly, and muttered, 'Oh, my.'"

From "Why Ted Cruz watched pornography with Supreme Court justices," a WaPo article cherry-picking the new Ted Cruz book called "A Time for Truth: Reigniting the Promise of America."

Ted Cruz was a law clerk and there was a case about porn, that's the answer to the "why" question in the WaPo headline. It's not hard to understand why.

There are 7 more nuggets from the book. Bo Derek "bowled barefoot, with two hands, in a white pantsuit." Cruz's father "wanted to slip into the mountains and join Fidel Castro's army, but he was told there was no way to get to the rebels,"  his half-sister Miriam, "died of an accidental drug overdose," and his wife, Heidi, went through "a period of depression."

Is this a book about how he tried to find his Hispanic Identity? Are there lots of composite girlfriends who provide him opportunities to spout wisdom?

That's some high-quality click-bait right there.

Well, this certainly was informative.

I wouldn't think that a promise is something that one would want to burn, but then again, I've never had the opportunity to smell the sweet scent of white fabric stretched tight across Ms. Derek's outthrust buttocks.

MayBee the book you are talking about is Obamas. He is the liar who has the composite girlfriends!!! (and he has YET to find his identity!!)

The difference between Obama and Rachel Dolezal is that his pigmentation is natural while hers came out of a bottle.
Otherwise they are both "white" people trying to be "black."

@wenrobar - I'm pretty sure MayBee was saying that tongue-in-cheek...

It's very hard to get into a porn scene while watching it in the company of Supreme Court justices. It's antithetical to the whole concept and not really porn in such an environment......Cruz's wife is a director of Goldman Sachs. That's my take away.

Ha! Yes, Karen's right.

Do people talk about finding their Hispanic identity? I know there is a "right" (liberal) and "wrong" (conservative) way to be Hispanic, but it seems like otherwise there aren't as many rules as there are for black people.

OH, our diverse society gets so confusing sometimes. All the rules for how the groups of people are supposed to behave.

How to find identity:

Step 1: Put your two hands, palms facing in, directly above your shoulders. You have it right if you are able to touch your shoulders with your thumbs from this position without moving your hands.

Step 2: Move your hands toward each other.

Step 3a: If your palms cannot touch, because something is in the way, that thing is your skull. Everything inside your skull is your identity. Everything outside of it is not your identity.

Step 3b: If your palms touch, with nothing in the way, you might consider a career in politics or elementary education, and you may be eligible to vote in Chicago.
