"I created the ISIS dildo flag at London Pride to start a dialogue, not get a laugh."

"I flew the flag in London’s gay pride parade because ISIS is deserving of mockery and disrespect. I never thought CNN would think it was real."

but the only bad mimicry I could see was CNN’s impression of a reputable news organization. What does this say about every other report that they broadcast? And why have they not mentioned it since?

We all know what it says. We know why.

Though we shouldn't single out CNN, they just got there first.

CNN beclowns itself daily.

Maybe some of the people who lost their jobs making confederate flags can get new jobs making this one.

Shows how much you know about CNN.

Just because you used to never know any different being forced to watch it in the airport, you should now know better.

That's actually pretty funny.

The guys who fight under it are indeed a bunch of dildos.

Well we will see how well ISIS takes the humor from the dick flag.

I bet they are all saying 'hahaha'.

Too bad that you didn't have "Eggs Benedict" there then you could have started a dialogue about Aids in Africa. Except that the Milwaukee Art Museum already has "Eggs Benedict" and they think that because it is made of 17000 condoms and depicts a Catholic Pope that it will stir serious discussion about Aids in Africa. I'm sure hidden agendas are beneath the dignity of the respected director of the museum and the very talented artist, Niki Johnson , who is Artist in Residence at the very venerable institution the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.

I am sure that the museum's intentions were not to offend anybody's faith. I am sure that the museum would show equal respect toward "The Piss Christ" or an elephant dung-encrusted portrait of the Madonna surrounded by photos of butts. These are meant to illustrate the creative genius of the human mind.

I am also 100% sure that the museum director wouldn't have the cajones or the backbone to show any of the art work from the Charlie Hebdo massacre. There would be some sort of erudite and well thought out explanation as to why he would not display these images. He could go to The New York Times and find something like this: "Was it hard to deny our readers these images? Absolutely. But we still have standards, and they involve not running offensive material" . Right , some standards NYT and MAM.

G, wouldn't that be a nice fantasy. Gay power for real as a force for good in the world. Yeah going to show Isis what's what. Going to fix them. I guarantee you 100 percent of the creators of that flag convert to Islam before they were beheaded.

Read Kipling's story of the wax moth. Behold the Golden Glow!

This reminds me, for some reason, of the story back in 2008 when there was manufactured outrage that Obama had created his own flag. He was standing in front of a flag of the great (cough) state of Ohio.

News commenters are incredibly ignorant of so very many things.

Mark you, kudos for what it's worth. A candle in the darkness. There is a lot if ruin in a nation. Just think how much worse it could be. Can be.

While these recent decisions have been oh shall we say deplorable, the lights in fact are still on, air conditioned and refrigerated convenience stores continue to sell Slurpees and hospitals treat the sick, the 5th Armored Rapists of Mosul are still far from drinking from the Mississippi River.

People and things are going a bad way but it doesn't really hurt yet, not where we can feel it. This is just the early phase of the post-Republican

(I mean post-Republic, assholes, cram the gloating)

(...or do I? Maybe both. Maybe it'll be just the Democratic Party...then, just, the Party, Inner and Outer, and of course then all the proles: and then of course Emmanuel Goldstein, Eurasia and Eastasia)

I must brush up on my Gibbon on top of my Orwell, RFRE is probably being used as an operating manual by someone with horns (I don't mean a Jew, troglodytes!) to superlative effect. On alternating days with 1984, Animal Farm...Brave New World...A Clockwork Orange...Soylent Green...To Serve Man? The Turner Diaries? The Camp of the Saints? ...The Koran?

OT: Islamic media effort in GWOT has been the equal of ours, don't you think? Perhaps the superior? Shows how important that is, if it were throw-weights or shooting skills or air superiority this thing would be over.

OT 2: FYI: speaking of "not yet" - hedge funds are now preparing for a crash. Perhaps not THE crash, but do we know anymore? Gird your loins.

No one here is going to give that gay guy any credit for mocking ISIS?

What he did is precisely what Charlie Hebdo did.

But because he's gay and was marching in a gay pride parade, nobody here respects what he did.

That's sad.

That's a good point.

So kudos to the guy for his clever banner mocking ISIS and allowing everyone else to feel superior to CNN.

Win-win!

sinz52,

I think MayBee, eric, and ritmo all gave the guy varying degrees of credit.

No, the sad part is that he is alone and isolated amongst his own.

Well. We know what ISIS thinks of gay pride.

ISIS isn't exactly known for their sense of humor. If given the chance, ISIS will do to him what they did to Charlie Hebdo. I applaud his ridicule but he'd better watch his back. The fact that he beclowned CNN is just a bonus.

That's O.K. I have a hard time thinking CNN is real.
