The polar bears were very lively and seemed much happier in the new enclosure, especially this one, who was tossing that little carcass up in the air and leaping after it.

Special rule for Althouse insiders, Scott, and now you went and blabbed it to the world, ruining everything.
Off to the inside of the Polar Bear enclosure for you.
Also, it's the anniversary of D-Day - 71 years ago. Makes me proud to be an American. Is that acceptable in the modern era?
Question: Does the fact that 80% of German troops were on the Eastern Front (20% on Western side) diminish our achievement in Normandy? I don't think so. But it did lead me to a re-interpret several aspects of WW2 (with which I won't bore anyone)
The only reasons that Germany did not defeat the Soviets (and they came damned close) were Hitler refusing to listen to his generals, and the millions of tons of food, supplies, vehicles and weapons that we gave to the Soviets.

I wonder if the poor bastard knows what little time he has left?
Headline at Slate:
"LAPD concludes shooting of unarmed, mentally ill man was justified".
As opposed to:
"Use of lethal force against insane man who grabbed for officer's gun found reasonable".
Of course he was unarmed, otherwise he wouldn't have had to grab someone else's gun.
Poor bear.

My son just handed me $45 in cash. He says he owes it to his pizza shop, and he is sick today, so he asked me to give them the money.
To the brave new world we are headed that's cruel and unusual.
I can't believe Althouse is contributing the torture of animal.s
Today a horse will be running near death, for the amusement of millionairesandbillionaires.

D-Day used to be a big deal.
I agree Hagar. WWII is hardly taught about in elementary and high school history, these days. So many more important things to learn about.

If I had to be a bear, I think I'd prefer to be a polar bear, mostly because there seems to be some truth to the old saw that blonds have more fun.
I like the Polar Bears and the zoo.

Scott Walker is the Leader of the Pack on Drudge now for riding Harley's with Joni Ernst in Iowa today.
Who is this guy? He's not Jeb or Marco from Florida where they ride Jetskis and skip Iowa to lay around on the beach. Walker is getting it done.
Frank Bruni has an Op-Ed in the NYT for AA.
I just watched American Pharaoh win the Triple Crown. Today's Drudge linked to an article describing why scientists agreed that he had little chance.
Adding those scientists to the global warming alarmists, perhaps it's time to shit-can a whole generation of scientists and start over from scratch.
“We arrested the [Uber] driver, too,” Judd said. - http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/06/04/florida-child-sex-sting-nets-former-workers-from-disney-seaworld-and-universal-studios/?tid=pm_national_pop_b
So Uber drivers need to know where their client is going, and what she is going to do upon arrival?
It stinks.
