So I was down last night fishing the triangles from shore yesterday after work, a group saw we were catching fish, they walk over, and start casting right over heads from behind us. I said, "are you fucking kidding me??!! There is plenty of shoreline to fish". Who would even think about doing something like that?

Someone who values the welfare of the collective over the rights of the individual.
I think that some statistics were gathered about how many times in the past year a family had wondered where the next meal was coming from...or had missed a meal.
It's a piece of propaganda to interpret those results as if 1 in 5 children are hungry every night, when the survey studied whether that had happened anytime in the last year.
Seeing as we're still waiting for ice out I'm jealous of anyone that's fishing. I'm headed to BC for steelhead in two weeks, and I won't be jealous of anyone then.
I, too, wonder what that flower is. Beautiful color. We have wood hyacinth coming up all over our lawn this time of year, in the same color exactly, I think, but our hyacinths point up, not down like those you have.

For good reason. My nephew guides in Montana - he says what we call steelhead in the Great Lakes aren't really steelhead - because they aren't ocean run. That kid's life, now that I am jealous of. Guides half the year, hunts for a few months, and has a sugar daddy client who flies him around the country to do more fishing.
We have a spot right next to a bridge here about half the size of a football field that fills up with about a dozen boats or more and several fishing from the bridge and shore in the spring. I don't know how the crappie survive year to year.
Some idiot, named Alix Bryan, from CBS6 in Richmond reported the Go Fund Me site for the pizza restaurant as fraud. THEN did her research! Wow, this is what the elite educational system is teaching college students these days? Report your conclusion, THEN, do your research!
This year my seedlings are Dracocephalum moldavica and Matthiola longipetala. The latter takes forever to germinate.
It's always interesting to see what's survived the winter and what hasn't. Things are just starting to pop up. I noticed that a rabbit ate most of one of my Aronias. Oh well.

I saw an entire clump of daffodils up and blooming yesterday.
Nothing finer this time of year.
I haven't investigated whether the first-of-spring Colt's Neck in its usual and unique spot today, but it wasn't there at the usual time this year.
Apparently you have a mole.
Apparently Madison is termite-free. Mulching next to a house is generally poor practice in more temperate climes.
Colt's Foot. Colt's Neck is an aviation VOR in New Jersey.
A café! Perfect place to pimp Cartoon Madness 2015.
It's the world's first 128 cartoon tournament where you can vote for the ultimate cartoon show of all-time.
That family that owns the pizza business in Indiana that was attacked by the SJW army has now gotten $682,615 in donations.
Seems like the American people are giving a big "Fuck You" to the intolerant Left.
The March jobs report has been released. In a word, it sucks.
The Jan and Feb jobs reports were revised down. I am shocked, just shocked I tell you.
Nothing finer this time of year.
A hot crappie bite on Monona trumps that IMHO.

Something confuses me, but then I confuse easily. I hear commercials with the voice of Al Roker saying 1 in 5 children go to bed hungry.
How in the name of 50 million food stamps recipients can this be true?
And this in a country that turns it's food into fuel (ethanol).

Well, that's a big backfire for our intolerant friends on the left. Over 600k in donations?
Pretty soon people are going to start faking left wing attacks, or at least praying for them to happen.
Not what you want when you're trying to shut up your ideological opponents.
My heart swells.
@Meade, what are those flowers? They look like some sort of fritillary but I've never seen one that blue.

Good point. Send me donations please.

Be pleased to. Just give us your real name and your address, and the check will be in the mail.
@Humperdink, America's social safety net is much stronger than that, and Al Roker probably knows that.
I'm sure he's very well reimbursed for reading his lines.
But is the Pizza any good?
Congratulations to the NCAA Player of the Year! Congratulations to the Oscar Robertson Player of the Year!
As someone adroitly put it, our safety net has turned into a hammock.

Heh.

Isn't it scilla?

Fields are blooming insanely out here in TX. Meadows look like sherbert with swirls of blue, yellow and mauve over bright green...
MadisonMan, that looks like a good call.
We need size reference. Put a quarter in the photo next time, Professor.

They are delicious.

Personally, I hope she gets fired!
It's the controversial Scilla siberica (Siberian Squill)

Thanks. I was told Wisconsin is too cold for termites. But I see I was misinformed.
I don't think I've seen a termite here.
Yet.
(cue forboding music)
I will say we've been able to keep that invasive weed scilla out of our yard. So far.
(cue more forboding music)
Two flowers I'm not fond of: Scilla and Day Lilies.
@Meade, I followed your link and the following was printed in big, bold letters:
Please, all you gardeners out there: stop planting this
And you planted it anyway? Tsk, tsk.

In Indiana? I doubt it.
The farther west one goes, the less good the pizza is. Chicago is an outlier, if one prefers deep dish pizza.
I prefer Neapolitan style.
Canadian couple sues GA sperm bank
I don't think we ever planted it. It's just been spreading through the neighborhood over the years.
You know...there are times when I wonder if I am the only poster on this blog that isn't some form of performance art.....
"The farther west one goes, the less good the pizza is."
Like barbecue the farther you get from the South.
