Quite stark. Except for the color of the sun in the open patch of clouds. It seems so monochromatic in photographs... Spring here. The robins are expected any day now in the backyard. They make it official.
Looking forward to April 1st. We drive up through Georgia along two lane roads we call the "Gone With the Wind Trail" to the Smokey Mnts to open the cabin. The dogwoods are in full bloom by that time surrounding the antebellum homes that survived Sherman's brigands. Did you know that Georgia is the largest State was of the Mississippi river?
@rhhardin - just finished reading it. Althouse and the Belmont Club are quite the one - two punch every morning aren't they? Richard Fernandez can turn a phrase...
Does this count as a cafe post? Been waiting for one to mention how nice the new captcha seems to be. Not sure if that is controlled from blogger.com or if Ann and Meade have a say in it but the change is appreciated.
For those who say I never speak kind of Gov. Walker, let me state for the record that this captcha change is one of the best things he has accomplished to date.

Given Zeus's propensity to play with the stick he's retrieved rather than "bring it," I'd say Meade is better trained at fetch than Zeus is.
"The Border Patrol Continues to Act as if a Federal Judge Hadn’t Just Blocked Obama’s Amnesty."
Duh! Guess who signs their paychecks?

We had beautiful snow today in our neck of the woods.. and it is/was very cold, colder than Prudhoe Bay!
Loved the way Gov. Walker went after the beltway crowd and the fellow traveling press tonight when asked if he thought Obama is a Christian.
Also loved the fiery words delivered with a smile, apparently a Walker trademark.
I've heard that the ice is 20" thick!
Thanks for the bulletin from the epicenter of global warming, er climate change...

Belmont Club on Obama's personality disorder becomes America's.

"Where are those beautiful and evocative stories" that Obama wrote.
Produce those and you will shut up a lot of people.
The ultimate charismatic leader in our times was Mao. You might want to read up on China under him.
Thanks for the bulletin from the epicenter of global warming
So true! As Madison goes, so goes the entire Globe!
I hope not to see a Dog Breaks Through Ice to Save Man in Frozen Lake video.
