I have a picture similar to that (middle one) -- my husband and I sitting on a high lifeguard chair which was turned away from the ocean on an empty beach towards the end of the season.. I was in a goofy mood and climbed up and my husband followed and two kids walked by and I asked them to take our pic.
Don't do anything so as to compete in the Darwin awards (like going out on thin ice), as she may not feel like getting wet, even in this balmy winter weather.
Thought so. I've seen similar WWI-era synagogues in many of the small cities of the West. Unfortunately, too many of them sit vacant or are being used as tourist-trap antique stores.

That's a cute pic of the Professor. I think one of the reasons I keep coming to this blog is that she looks a bit like my own wife.
