Having grown up with larger dogs I now have a great fondness for the Maltese breed. (I'm not sure of the breed of the dog pictured.) Maltese act like real dogs, see the world through their nose, don't shed and are wonderful companions. They also have no idea how small they are. My current Maltese "owns" her relationship with the two neighboring Labs.
"....he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'. Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white."

Looks like a Shih Tzu with a good hair cut. Great breed.

The tag at Meade's blog tells you the breed: West Highland Terrier.
That's a great-looking real dog.

I thought Westie. He/she looks just like the dog in the McDuff book series (great books for kids).
How sharp are those Terrier teeth?Inquiring strangers want to know if the is on the Terrerist watch List.
That's 1/2 of a scotch ad.
Hitchcock loved his Westies.
Ditko's Shade The Changing Man series was awesome. Never attended anything ending in "Con", thus clueless otherwise.
Pound for pound, Westies are one of the toughest, most spirited breed.. Have loved and lived with many over the years.
It runs on 4 D-size batteries.
