I used to study on the lawn beneath the observatory. Love that view.

Jackie Coogan was the cutest little kid you ever saw. He was the star in Charlie Chaplin's first movie.

And this cute little kid would grow up to be this guy.

What a fate!

NYT publishes the street and town where Officer Wilson and his wife live. Slate publishes a photo of the house.

Your liberal media at work, doing the jobs respectable people won't do.

@sane_voter: Wow.

I am the guy who watches Morning Joe and this morning they explained that the Republicans did not have a mandate because 44% of respondents to a poll said they did not.

I guess the 56% who disagreed did not count.

It is a problem for me that all the pundits on Fox who are lawyers and former prosecutors, etc., still jabber on about discrepancies in the witnesses' testimonies, totally disregarding the physical evidence.
Why is that?
Like the DA said, if your testimony is directly contradicted by the physical evidence, your testimony is not credible.

Harvey Levin of TMZ gave a shout-out to Madison last week. He was geeking about how fun the lakes are, but he couldn't seem to remember exactly what their names were.

"Waiting for the Lakes to freeze now."

Great Lakes developing ice cover at the earliest date since they began keeping good records.

And, if "his job as president is not to comment on every incident that occurs while it is still under investigation," why does he keep doing just that?

Plus the question of "command interference," when it is a Federal investigation that is still going on.

I'll guess that most of the ice forming on 21 Nov melted on 22 Nov. It will start to re-form now.

Love the line in that article: Decent early season ice coverage records date back to 1973. No indication what the word "Decent" means!

It probably means satellite coverage.

What Tim said.

Though I imagine they could get East Anglia's CRU to extrapolate records back into the past to make up for the absence of, you know, data.

@sane_voter, I just saw little George Steph ask Wilson why he didn't sit in the car and wait for backup after the initial scuffle since Brown was already walking away (after assaulting Wilson and trying to get his gun, of course) and Wilson was supposed to sit in the car and wait for backup -- the absurdity of it. Why not just drive away? Why don't these fucking journalists know what the training is and what the officer is supposed to do in these situations?

I read about Billy Joel having a cigarette with President Obama. ( I have always assumed the President never quit smoking)

It got me thinking... when you are the POTUS, who runs to the 7-eleven to get you your smokey treats? Does Obama just tell some staffer to ensure there Is an endless supply of camel lights in the Oval Office desk?

We now have more soldiers enforcing peace in Ferguson MO than fighting ISIS in the Middle East

@pm

Amazing that Clinton hack has such a plum media job. Bigger Clinton hacks Begala and Carville also get to spout off on TV, but not as national anchors, mainly because they aren't as nice looking/sounding.

I think we're going to find life on Europa, under the sheets of ice. Some kinda alien microbe, alien plant. Plants count as life, right?

@Tim. I am a Morning Rino viewer also. At least until they reach the tipping point -usually 25 minutes into the show. Then off to do my morning reading.

Can I just say that this brought a big smile to my face today?

According to the AP in the Journal this morning, it was very wrong of the DA to confuse the grand jury wih all this factual physical evidence.

How in the world can it be wrong to give facts to a jury?
