Given his fixed (and very serious!) expression, unbroken by a smile at any point, I wonder if this boy has Asperger's Syndrome or some other similar cognitive condition.
He is a doll. If he had Asperger's he wouldn't make eye contact, he wouldn't have vocal inflection and he wouldn't say he was scared to death, he'd be biting his arm instead of talking.
He's like my older brother. He was a serious kid, a scientist in the making. Some kids are just like that, and thank God for it.
Don't you think that if this boy were known (by his parent, who gave permission) to be on the autism spectrum, that we would not be seeing this clip?
Wouldn't the parent insulate the boy from public judgment/ridicule by declining permission?
Or do you think that at some point on the spectrum, the child should be exposed to the world and that it is good for us all to expand our conception of what normal is or to appreciate the positive value of those who are off the norm?
"A parently outfitted kid. Grandparently, too. See? It works.
Your community might want to get back to it, Crack."
Wow - it's amazing how whites can't even give a little praise to their kids without trying to smack blacks upside the head for the comparison - their kids will NEVER pick that long-standing influence up.
And, of course, that's not the attempt to sustain white supremacy, but just the fact "SomeoneHasToSayIt," am I right?
No, you're wrong - you're just a racist - and here's what SomeoneHasToSay:
Using a child for white propaganda purposes, Dude? Really?
That's just another example of how low desperate white men will go, for a cheap thrill, at the expense of others. Feel good about yourself for that?
And if this is how white parenting "works," it's the same way they claim their loopy NewAge shit "works":
Do you seriously think whites' capacity for raising Little Lord Fauntleroy's - full of themselves for absolutely nothing - is either something new to us, or something we admire?
Didn't we just read a letter about blacks leaving a dying kid without so much as a "goodbye" and you think we look at your little smart alek's and fall to pieces? Seriously - you're THAT out of it?
Blacks have taken care of more white kids than whites even know exist - because the white rapists would sell the pregnant black women, who had them to raise, because white wives didn't want to see them - and you think we don't have long-standing cultural impressions of whites, their parenting, or the results, already formed?
The very people who suckled white kids - for white women who were deemed (and believed themselves to be) too delicate - but, today, demand to be seen doing it everywhere in public?
Do you think we're all "Awwww" over this kid? (Actually, we are, for any kids, but - fuck you - I'm trying to give you an education here,...):
Like this kid, white people trip on themselves too fucking hard - American arrogance, wrapped in ugly Brady Bunch shirts, short pants, ankle socks, sunglasses and sandals - who have the unmitigated nerve to tell everyone they stole from to "be humble."
We know you better than you know yourselves - and, for starters, you don't even know how to dress.
We watch you hide from the truth and get nervous - moments you don't want to acknowledge, walking wild-eyed at us down the street, before grabbing your spouse's hand to avoid getting the shakes - so secure with yourselves. Riiiight.
We see it all.
And have so much admiration - I'll say it agin because it's such an example of why whites are bad parents:
Don't try and use your kids, Dude - any kids - it's just another example of how low white men will go for power.
Blacks have got enough reasons to hate you already,....
"Don't you think that if this boy were known (by his parent, who gave permission) to be on the autism spectrum, that we would not be seeing this clip?
Wouldn't the parent insulate the boy from public judgment/ridicule by declining permission?"
Not necessarily - people are different.
I've seen both styles - one parent practically hides their kid and another pushes him out there at every opportunity. Watching the kids change over time is fascinating. Going from in their heads to more-or-less out-going.
Autism's wild.
I lived with a guy who's bipolar - THAT was crazy.
"If he had Asperger's he wouldn't make eye contact, he wouldn't have vocal inflection and he wouldn't say he was scared to death, he'd be biting his arm instead of talking."
Um...my oldest friend--from third grade--has a son with Asperger's, and he never acted like that. He did have an odd affect, but he made eye contact and didn't do things like bite his arm. He's now in college.
I'm sorry to hear your son is unable to live independently. It hasn't been easy for my friend's son, but my friend has worked hard to give his son the best chance to become educated and socialized, insofar as that is possible. He's only about 20 now, so it remains to be seen if he will be able to secure a job or ever live on his own.
Just as Asperger's is seen as a high-functioning form of Autism, perhaps Asperger's itself ranges from low to high in severity of debility. (Supposedly, David Byrne of Talking Heads has claimed he might lie somewhere on the Asperger's spectrum.)
Cute, but, you know, let's hope this verbal, um, tic, does not persist into adulthood. I once worked with a SW engineer who, literally, started about every third sentence with the work "Essentially". Drove me nuts, it did.
"If he had Asperger's he wouldn't make eye contact, he wouldn't have vocal inflection and he wouldn't say he was scared to death, he'd be biting his arm instead of talking."
That's not true of everyone, or perhaps even most people, with Asperger's.
Not that Asperger's has anything to do with this charming kid.
I watched the video and decided to make a play-on-words with the word 'apparently' , the the kid used, and Ann's reference to adverbs, which is what 'apparently' is.
By splitting out the 'ap' from the 'parently', and changing the 'ap' to just 'a', you are still left with a made-up adverb: 'parently', as in 'having parents'.
SO the kid becomes a parently kid. A kid who has parents in his life.
Then, once one is put in mind of kids who have parents around them, one is also put in mind of the opposite - kid's who don't.
And that leads to thinking of the community leads the world in the kids-who-don't "Absent Fathers" category. That would be your community.
And then, since you are always jumping into threads on this blog, finding occasions to blame the White culture for all of Black's problems, I suggested that maybe if your community would try leading the world in 'intact families', many of those problems would go away, showing that they were never caused by Whites in the first place, but were instead, to use a sport's metaphor, unforced errors.
It's been a struggle, but in life there are no guarantees. I just hope I outlive him by at least a minute so that he won't have to face the world alone.
"That leads to thinking of the community leads the world in the kids-who-don't "Absent Fathers" category. That would be your community."
I feel like I'm over-hearing Cliven Bundy's brain as he'd "wonder" if blacks were better off during slavery.
So we're the community without parents, huh? How'd that happen? I'll tell you what:
You go back to 1609, when the first black was brought here in chains, and tell me about how much whites have helped the all-important black "family" from then on, O.K.?
Please include all the rapes of mothers - done in front of their husbands - and anyone sold away for "insolence" for stating slavery was wrong.
(All the "good" and "upstanding" white people did that - the same people who run things today.)
I mean, you did say blacks should "get back to it" - please, tell me when that period was, when whites weren't interfering in our lives, making it possible for a stable family life to be possible.
"If your community would try leading the world in 'intact families', many of those problems would go away, showing that they were never caused by Whites in the first place, but were instead, to use a sport's metaphor, unforced errors."
Please - whites sold us everywhere to anyone.
Whites freak out if blacks call each other "brother" today.
If blacks act in any collective fashion, whites freak out, screaming we're INDIVIDUALS who should forget the collective struggle and tow the conservative line.
And you actually think - after seeing and hearing that every day, here and off-line, from whites - I'm going to buy the idea you want us to get together and have strong families?
You guys really have to stop and think about what you've said and done - for centuries - before you decide you sound reasonable now:
You just sound like extremely-forgetful (and/or insane) hypocrites of the highest order.
I mean, what culture sells black family members for hundreds of years, and and then breeds assholes who insist it's black's fault we don't have strong families?
It's as convoluted and crazy a message as it's possible to imagine.
"If your community would try leading the world in 'intact families', many of those problems would go away, showing that they were never caused by Whites in the first place, but were instead, to use a sport's metaphor, unforced errors."

Blah, blah blah blah.
Fix your families. They're broken as shit. You treat your women like whores. A dead beat dad is not a man, and is the furthest thing from 'macho' that there is.
That kid is glorious. I may have to recant my distrust of gingers!
I'm sure by now someone has auto-tuned or dubstepped that clip or whatever kids are doing on the youtubes these days....argh, get off my lawn, where are my back pills....

She gave him the microphone???
I remember one of my sons doing a similar thing with "actually."
Isn't he charming? I really love this.
The kid's like "Imma give you this microphone, but first, apparently Beyonce has the best video..."
Nah, that was pretty funny!
And there's the lost child announcement in the background, apparently.
A parently outfitted kid. Grandparently, too. See? It works.
Your community might want to get back to it, Crack.
Given his fixed (and very serious!) expression, unbroken by a smile at any point, I wonder if this boy has Asperger's Syndrome or some other similar cognitive condition.
My favorite moment is when he turns and raises his hand rhetorically.
Love him...give him another year and he will be using "hence" and "yonder".
Kid being a kid is apparently news and viral..
And did you see how the other little girl was shushed by the reporter.. it starts that early. :)
"Actually" was big with all of my kids, too. My youngest has also been using "technically."
Anyway, cute and charming kid. @Robert Cook- seriously? You've never seen kids take on this serious demeanor when they copy adults?
Robert Cook -
GAH.

Serious?
Seriously?
The world is gonna die because of F(^*%*%^ carbon, apparently tomorrow, and you think this kid is too serious???
He is not nearly serious enough.
I've lived in Pennsylvania. This kid is not from there. Trust me.
I suspect robot.

My now 8-year-old boy also used "actually" quite liberally from about 3 to 5.
Actually, it's a normal part of language development in children, actually, to use transition words and phrases repetitively, actually.
SomeoneHasToSayIt,

Oh, the pride they also demand we must must feel for them - I get it, white ladies. I really do.

We could only wish.
"Black-smackin'" ... nice.
Four, going on 40. One of mine was like that.
Robert Cook -
Your friend is lucky. I have my son, still living at home. He's 27.
Got over the biting, though.
Live report: apparently you get dizzy every time.
I love this kid and I love the word apparently...apparently
Crack: "Do you think we're all "Awwww" over this kid? (Actually, we are, for any kids..."
Particularly the ones you enslave.

I assume you've had time to think about it.
The argument Democrat KKK leaders should be forced into reparations, including a tar and feathering where applicable, isn't done Justice by Crack.
But these Democrat Klan leaders should be forced to pay for their sins; yes, even after their deaths and Hellfire.
We need Democrats suffering in order for vengeance on Earth.
