"She has her hands all over him... Why is she touching him like that?"

"He’s just been hanging out with the wrong crowd. I told him he has to stop hanging out with those boys."

Said the mother of a 13-year-old who was allegedly chased down and held in a "bearhug" by a woman who wanted her cell phone back.
"He was so pudgy and was slowing down, so that’s why I caught up to him," [the victim, Clara] Vondrich said, adding she felt sorry for the kid.
The teen was wearing sneakers and Vondrich, 36, had on wedgie sandals that didn't even have a strap around the heel to hold them on. And we're told she held onto the kid for 2 minutes until the police arrived. This happened in Brooklyn, and of course, there are photographs of the scene, published in the NY Post, which withholds the name of the alleged thief but not the photographs of his face and the body-shaming statements about him.

ADDED: Two women compete in a game called "Empathy."

Another nominee for parent of the year. The fat little bastard was probably the ringleader.

Luckily, not jaywalking too !

The pudginess will disappear soon thanks to Michelle O and Mayor B

That kid is not fat. He is slow. The kids in his neighborhood will never let him forget he got chased down by a dorky woman wearing headphones and sandals.

Clara is obviously just another racist white lady. Would pay her fair share to help out the little fat black kid by letting him keep it after he smacked her in the back and snatched it out of her hands on a city street.

Meanwhile, another fat black kid 5 years older snatches some cigars from a shop, roughshod up and menaces the clerk and then gets shot by a racist white policeman after a struggle for the cops's gun on the street outside the shop.

"She has her hand all over him...Why is she touching him like that?" Because your son is a stud lady, that's why.

A black youth stole my bike, several days later my husband caught him riding it. He and our neighbor who is black, gave the kid a firm talking to and let him go without calling the police. Old fashioned neighborhood parenting like the old days.

Guess who showed up at my door several days later?? Mommy, all big and bad dressed in her security guard uniform. She had a problem with the white guy talking to her son. I shrugged and told her next time we'll just call the police and let them sort it out.

"He's a very good boy.".No lady, he's a criminal. And certain people are worried about him being "body shamed," ffs.

One time a teenager committed arson in my house and walked off with a couple of my son's guitar pedals. I tracked him down to get the pedals back, having already decided not to wreck his life by calling the police, and he wasn't even polite to me. He was like a stereotype of a sullen teenager. Didn't say he was sorry, even as I talked to him, trying to give him an opportunity to aspire to be a better person. I considered saying "I could call the police" but -- with attention to my own virtue -- declined.

He was white, in case you need that reference point.

I blame the kid's mom. She let him get fat and slow---being run down by a 36 year old white lady in wedgies---sheesh!

And if he'd eaten his Wheaties instead of Pop Tarts and Donuts, he would have been able to wrestle free from her grasp.

And what's this stuff about, "She has her hands all over him"? It's not like she's a 36 year old middle school teacher molesting a 7th grade boy.

And in case you need this reference: "You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you."

Life's simple rules-don't steal stuff- becomes how the thief becomes a victim.

It's like the mother wants the victim arrested for pedophilia.

They need to remake that movie "To Catch a Thief." Bring it up to date. The thief is so out of shape he gets caught.

The perfect victim was nailed to the cross, but he did leave you with that advice on how to follow him, and you don't even need to be perfect.

The black mothers who all say "My son is/was a good boy" are a significant part of the problem. I remember during the OJ trial, the black women who were mad at Nicole for "stealing our black men."

I notice that Jesse and Al calmed the Ferguson situation so that the police didn't have to intervene.

This young man will soon grow into a gentle giant. It's all in the parenting.

Nailed to a cross?? Spartacus?

Why do you persist with the religious talk? Is there a goal? Are you trying to inspire us to our better selves like the young man you let get away with a crime?

"Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's." Punish the boy for violating Caesar's law.

William said...

Let's hope that this traumatic event doesn't cause the boy to become a Republican and thus bring everlasting shame on the mother,

He's only 13?? My, they do mature early don't they. No wonder wimpy little white middle school kids feel intimidated around them...think I'd get outta Dodge myself if I were in that neighborhood.

No sympathy for Fatty Thieverton. And his mama ought to be ashamed, not defending him. Her pudgy offspring just got outrun by a white woman in wedgies. Shame, shame, shame!

What do you want to bet if that fat, little, turd ball went into cardiac arrest and died Al and Jesse would be doing another "March to Selma" candle light vigil?

But you are leaving out the important context.

That is good advice if you live under something like brutal Roman occupation, and thus should avoid giving the conquerors any additional pretext to mess with or arrest you.

Bad advice otherwise. Use Old testament instead. Fear of equal or greater retaliation cubs aggression every time it's consistently the case.

I'll follom him alright--right after I've finished following that little thief and whaling the tar (and the cell phone) out of him.

Emily Bazelton of Slate doesn't call the cops, either. Although from the article, you know, it sounds like maybe that's just for black people so if the perp. was a white guy who knows?
