"In fact, this is nothing like breast implants. If breast implants got stuck under your tongue..."

"... and in the back of your throat when you were pleasuring your (hypothetical) woman, then you could say it's the same. Also, these are not so much complaints as they are common, first-hand reports on the sexual logistics associated with not grooming. We women (and men) are trying to give you [ungroomed] men a glimpse into our struggle. We just want to help, man, we just want to help."

Comment (by a female) at a Buzzfeed article (written by a man) called "Dear Men, Stop Shaving Your Pubes/Let’s end this once and for all." The article got huge pushback from females, and the comment I've quoted comes after a defensive male said:
Dear women, I don't groom for you. I groom for me. If you don't like it, we're obviously not sexually compatible, and I couldn't care less what you think. I say the same thing about breast implants, but that makes me a misogynist. Your complaints are no less superficial than that of people who hate "fatties" and "uggos"...
What's this world coming to? It seems that people don't like each other too much anymore.

Imus said breast implants are like sucking on a beach ball.

Why is some dope telling other men what to do with their pubes? Oh, he's totally gay.

I examine military recruits and many have shaved pubes and many more shaved chest hair. It just looks a bit odd to me but they may be doing this at the request of females.

"Totally gay" doesn't even begin to express how gay the linked article was. That was the gayest thing in the history of the Internet.

Well. When the prevailing philosophy preaches self-fulfillment, and even our highest court rules that each of us is entitled to find his own meaning of existence, etc, common ground becomes harder to find.
In the founding era, the consensus opinion was that there is truth, but it's hard to find. But some central truths were self-evident. Nowadays, the official philosophy is that there are no such truths, self-evident or not.
A related point, if there is, in fact, a human nature, then those who seek to change it are misanthropes.

There's a lot of that going around.

Blame leftism in general with its is us vs them mentality, feminism in particular and round it out with the invention of the Internet which turned minor squabbles into shouting matches

Remember when althouse linked to the article about the teacher who gave students extra credit for doing transgressive things like not shaving their legs(for the women) and shaving their whole body for the men? Where would this be in the transgressive scale? If shaving your body is tansgressive then wouldn't NOT shaving your pubes be the norm?

In my opinion not sure if you need to shave it (for guys). But at least trim that beast.you don't want to look like you're in a 70's porno.

The world is coming to progressivism. When, oh, when, will you even notice? Do you not pay attention to the Madison City Council and the Dane County School Board?

SOJO, a visit to the beach or waterpark shows a clear split on which men shave their bodies vs are old as school hairy. Somewhere around 30 and/or marriage/child seems to be the splitting point.

Far more shaved men at the water park than at the family Atlantic beach I just was at - few 20's single men at the beach, water park was full of them.

I am sure my lack of shaving all my body hair disgusts the kids these days, good thing its been a decade since I gave a craps what kids thought.

People like each other just fine, we just like to grouse and gripe and evolution hasn't caught up with technology yet such that, absent conscious effort, we treat posts on the internet as disembodied, 1-dimensional. We can let loose without hurting any real people.

Plus, i believe there is a constant amount of griping in the world. If you make people's lives better, you won't reduce the complaining, you'll only increase the pettiness of the complaints.

Sometimes I am just glad I am older, and that there are plenty of older women around.

There, fixed it.

Not true - I like myself just fine - whites, here, have been telling me to "be humble" going on a decade now. Here's the truth:

Y'all suck.

The fact you can't admit it just makes it worse,...

I don't want to have to drop a clue bomb, but the (male) author of the linked article is clearly a raging homosexual. And I mean clear, as in how could it be more obvious.

Just so y'all know.

Hypothetical article: "Dear Women. Shave your crotch. Thanks."

Would the reply be anything other than "stop trying to control our bodies?"

I find it hard to say otherwise.

Look, people.

That's someone's purely personal business ... or at least, theirs and Whoever They're Sleeping With.

Stop trying to tell an entire other class of people what they "Should" or "Should Not" do, to please you.

Not true - I like myself just fine

So by "Not true" you mean "irrelevant", since

A) he wasn't - at least not obviously - talking to you and

B) the condition specified was necessary but not sufficient.
