There's still ice on Lake Superior.

Just a speck.

But remember, record cold temperatures are just weather; record highs are global warming.

The pictures of the "speck" taken by the WI DNR, though, make the ice floe look huge with flocks of seagulls resting on it, or is it them. I can't decide whether the pictures were of more than one. I believe it was on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel website. Although I could be wrong.

The reason that this is both humorous and somewhat important is that a good part of the authoritarian left (redundant?) is still spouting AGW nonsense. The ones who haven't gotten the memos that since it hasn't really been warming for most of the last two decades, it is now Anthropogenic Climate Change (AGCC) or AGCD (climate disruption), etc. President Obama happily announced EPA restrictions last week on coal based on the AGW research. Makes the lie behind the authoritarian power grab just that much more obvious, and, really, humorous. He and his supporters and people are trying to push as many of the little people into tightly packed urban environments, supposedly in order to cut down on their CO2 footprint, but mostly, I suspect, to get better control over them, and give them more reasons to vote for Dems.

(And, for those who tend to defend the Administration here, keep in mind that the AGCC and AGCD hypotheses were built primarily on AGW research. They have even less scientific support, and, in themselves are admission that the AGW hypothesis is false, but AGCC at least is not a valid scientific hypothesis, since it is unfalsifiable).

A pox on all you unbelievers. This is proof-positive of climate change. And climate change is interchangeable with AGW except when it's not.

As of June 1, ice was visible from the shore in Marquette.

What does it mean?

I don't know.

"Just a speck."

But that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I think the most important cause of global warming is the sun.

Well. They won't kill themselves, you know. Drive that old cop car around the block a few more times.
